Are satellite M30-801 - there new wireless network cards?

I can't connect to our network via wifi, because the sign used by the net is WPA2.

It does not resemble the current map supports the level of registration even if I updated the drivers. I would like to know if there is a patch that I can download or if I need a new card and if so what model recommend you.

Hello

WLan encryption is hardware based and you cannot turn it on update driver.
If you want to use the newest WLan encryption, then you will need to use the WLan card that would provide support for these WLan encryption.

In your case, I recommend use on USB WLan key.
There is a better way to do mobile WPA2 compatible.

Cheers mate

    Hi all

I changed my wi - fi for Atheros AR5b91 and hardware network card is locked.
I can't remove this lock of wi - fi switch or fn + F8 probably it's the lock of the bios.

I tried to unlock it on Windows Vista, Windows 7, Ubuntu, so it is not caused by software.
I tried the card WiFi on another laptop (toshiba not) and it's ok.

    If anyone can help?

    Hello

To me, it seems that you used is not compatible Wlan module.
    But I found this thread:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?MessageID=79237

A user was unable to activate new update Intel Wlan card.
According to some information, its possible to enable the Wlan card by covering pin 13 on the wireless Mini-PCI network card.
But to be honest I've ever tried and I would use this workaround with caution.

  • Satellite M55-S139 - no visible wireless network card

    Hello

Already my Atheros said "great connection" and in fact some programs could run on the wireless internet but no web browser wouldn't work.

Today, I bought a new router Belkin N +, and it's the same problem.

    I downloaded the drivers here

    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/support/JSP/modelContent.jsp?CT=DL&OS=&category=&MOID=1132275& rpn = PSM53U & modelFilter = & SelCategorie = 3 & selFamily = 10 73768663

First of all, I put it XP and Wi - Fi and got the top pilot, which did nothing.

I then really messed up and apparently forgot to put it in this way, all OS and all categories left and ran

    ACPI Flash BIOS version 1.90 for Satellite M55 (PSM53U) (v1.90; 2007-01-27; 3 M)

and now it's worse than ever. It's like I don't even have a wireless card. No way to attempt to display wireless networks. Atheros options are all gray, there is no system for a wireless connection bar...

    I'm at my wit's end.

All the tips are sincerely and greatly appreciated.

You are right. Network adapter is correctly installed, but as I can see, WLAN driver is missing.
Then please visit the U.S. Toshiba download page, and download driver WLAN for your laptop model.

I do not know what operating system are you using and I can't say with certainty which driver is the right one.

  • Satellite X 200-driver of wireless network card not moved

From one day to the other, my network card simply stopped working. I pulled to the top of my 200-20 t X and Vista told me that he had found the Intel AGN4965 unit that had to be installed. I agreed to let Vista search for the best drivers, but after a few seconds I said that there is a problem, Vista cannot find the files needed and cancels the installation of the card. I then downloaded the latest driver for the AGN4965 of Toshibas site map, install this and restart the computer hoping that find the new driver Vista wil... But without success.

I then remove the whole device in Device Manager and then install the new drivers, but always, Vista tells me that it can't ind files needed...
Any suggestions on what to do before you do a reinstall full?

    Hello!

Try to use the drivers from Intel. Maybe they work.
You install the driver with the setup.exe program? Try to install the manual drivers with driver update.

Also make sure you have all Service Packs and fixes for Windows installed.

Last but not least check from Toshiba Web site for an update of the BIOS.

  • Satellite A100-495 - Intel 3945abg wireless network card cannot find wifi networks

    Greetings,

I have some problems with networks wireless on my laptop Satellite A100-495.

The problem is: my wireless adapter (intel / pro 3945abg) doesn't seem to find wireless networks. If I portable place very close to my router wireless (such as 1 m) - connection can be established. If I move away (~ 5 m)-no connection or 'very bad' quality and constantly broken. Other notebooks I've tried still have "very good" quality at the same range.

This happens with other routers as well. And I can not any sign of wi - fi in my Uni (my colleagues have no problem with their machines).

I tried to play up with some parameters. Reinstalled adapter. Downloaded the latest drivers. Nothing helps.

A tip? Thank you in advance.

    Hello

Something like that happened to me a long time ago.
I used the Wlan configuration option to own Windows. For several months, I use the Intel Proset configuration utility to establish the WiFi connection!
    It works!

In addition, I have disabled the power Wlan option in the Wlan card properties save and adjust the intensity of the signal at top. I remember, in the advanced properties, you can find the 802.11 option preamble. The value is Long and short on my laptop.

    Hey dude... Check it out.

  • Satellite P100-429 - new wireless network card does not work

    Hello

    I just upgraded my home network to the draft of the standard "n" and thought that I would upgrade my wireless card on my laptop P100-429;
Laptop is under Vista Home Premium and has the latest version of BIOS and drivers installed.

Laptop currently has an equipped Intel 3945ABG card that works very well. I bought an Intel 4965AGN card but when I enter it, the powers of computer to top, but wont load (lights, fan-nothing else)

Okay - so I read on some forums, could be a bad card, so I bought a brand Toshiba 4965AGN card - P/N G86C0002P710
Still having the same problem - the computer refuses to start. Intel technical support say the card should work?
Obviously is a compatibility problem - what can I do about it?

Or did someone knows what kind of card I should use?

    Thanks for your help!

I m not a Satellite P100 owner but is your laptop equipped with 3 antennas or only 2?
If your laptop has only 2 antennas t, you can pass it to N project because this WiFi standard needs of 3 antennas.

I think that your laptop has only 2 antennas, so that would be the reason why the two cards are not compatible to your laptop.

    Welcome them

  • Satellite L500 - 19 X - no wireless network card

Laptop says can only connect to the internet with an ethernet cable (how I'm connected now). After looking at various forums online, I tried everything that is said, like install the driver LAN wireless, but nothing seems to work.

The only thing in the NICs in Device Manager is "Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller". A so therefore not wireless.

    What should I do?

    > What should I do?
Good question. I would like to know what you've done in the past.
Are you using the original pre-installed OS that you got with your laptop?
Some unknown device is listed in Device Manager?

According to specification for laptop, your laptop has WLAN RTL8191SE Realtek 802.11bgn inside card.
What happen when you try to install the latest version of the driver?

    Found this one for example.

Anyone who knows what other types could be used?

    Hello

Hmm, well I've never heard of Gigabyte WLAN cards and I don't know laptops that are equipped with these cards.

I checked Toshiba Web site and some Satellite A30 models shipped with a card Atheros and Intel WLAN. So, I recommend buying a those manufactures wireless network card.
For example Wireless LAN Mini PCI card (2, 4 GHz, 802 11 b) PA3212U-3MPC should be compatible.

  • Satellite Pro L10 - wireless network cards are compatible?

I have now managed to dual boot my older Toshiba L10 with XP and Windows 7.

The existing wireless LAN card is not compatible with the Windows 7 partition and I use an external usb wireless.

Does anyone have recommendations on an internal wireless card I can buy which can replace the existing one and is both compatible with XP and Windows 7 32-bit? Is it easy to replace one card with another?

    Hello

Hardware upgrade on mobile machinery is very limited and most of the information you can get on an upgrade supported for RAM or HARD drive. Upgrade for all other hardware is not supported, so actually there is no info on the hardware compatibility.

Nobody here can offer you a list with 100% compatible cards WLAN.
What WLAN card is inside your old L10?
Have you tried to install the drivers of Toshiba Portal Wlan WLAN - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/

Download driver driver from here and install it. Maybe this will help you get the wireless network card is functioning properly.

  • Satellite Pro A40 fell on the wireless network card; Damaged PCMCIA slot

This morning my Satellite Pro A40 (Celeron 2.6) fell 40 cm. He fell right on the wireless network card that has been inserted. This card is still alive and so is the rest of the laptop, but the PCMCIA location is little damaged. I can insert PC cards almost completely, just the last piece (when the pins are) wrong.

I removed the cover near the CPU, and there, I could see the inside PCMCIA slot; I could see the main part and the last part where the pins are. That little part as is pushed upward, as you can see in the pictures.

I think I'd be able to fix myself this PCMCIA slot, but I can't remove it. I removed all the screws on the rear plate, but he is still blocked.

    Pics:

    PCMCIA slot

The PCMCIA location; on the left, you will see the part with the pins, which is pushed upward. It's also what I see when I look at the pins in the PCMCIA slot. as they are pushed down, but I don't think they are folded.

    Wireless network card

Wireless network card; It is a little damaged but it still works.

Does anyone have an idea how I can remove the back plate, or another way to remove the PCMCIA slot and fix it?

    Hi Steve

Well, I can give t well you not answer how you can just remove the PCMCIA slot.
There are a lot of screws and to my knowledge, it is necessary to remove all covers and screws that are placed at the bottom of the unit and inside under the keyboard.
Please check this specific device. Perhaps you have overlooked a few screws.

But if it is impossible to remove the PCMCIA slot of the unit, I recommend to ask the service partner for a detailed instruction.

    Good luck

I have an Asus laptop with a Realtek wireless card. Updates of drivers and windows are the latest versions. I can't add any new wireless connection. There is a list of the available connections but when I try to connect, nothing happens. I can connect to the old wifi networks without problem, but I have moved and have a new connection that I can not add, even when I try to do it manually with the network and sharing Center. It is not fair to this network, I could not connect when I was traveling either. I uninstalled and everything re-installed twice no longer useful. Help!

Can I put my card Intel pro 2200BG on Satellite M65-S9092 wireless network so that it is no longer compatible with Windows 7? The Intel Pro 2200BG is no longer supported by Intel as it was abandoned and so they have not issued a new driver so that IPv6 works.

    Hello

I think that it shouldn't be a problem to upgrade the WLan card.
As far as I know its a card wireless network of miiPCI and you would need to also use a WLan card which would support the miniPCI interface.

The wireless network card supports two pins for the WLan antenna cable.
Usually, you must connect a white cable to the HAND and a black to the auxiliary voltage

  • My Satellite U400 is 3 local wireless networks only

    Hello.

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite U400 and when I search for wireless connections he finds only 3 around my house, but when my sister come and visit me often and she has also a laptop but she has a HP laptop and when she's looking for wireless network connections he found all 6 wireless some of them with strong and other with little signal low , so my question is how mine to find only 3 but its all 6? Is the HP laptop wireless more strong & better or what?

I have the latest drivers for it and I have the correct settings.

Why do you think that the settings are correct? Maybe the settings are correct for some certain standard WLAN? Have the two identical wireless network cards in notebooks inside?

Sorry, but this is all a bit childish to me. I have 3 and she 6.
