Are there special procedures when I update mode NX - OS (standalone) mode ACI of NX - 9 K?

Hello world

I have two questions.

First of all, are there special procedures when I update mode NX - OS (standalone) mode ACI of NX - 9 K? For examples, NX - OS version, cards online, EPLDs, licenses and so on. And is it possible back ACI mode mode NX - OX, too?

Secondly, I know that fabric module (below, FM) s are paired FM1 and 2, 3 and 4, 5 and 6, respectively when there are 48-Port 1 / 10 G T/F Module in the chassis. In this case, if the FM in slot 2 to lose, both links to slots 1 and 2 would be lost because the mux detects the loss of slot 2 and therefore takes traffic slot 1 also, that is, the slots are paired. If so, what are the benefits of an investment FM full? Please share your knowledge with me clear ^ ^

All your help will be appreciated.

Paul

Paul,

Sorry for the delay... Answers to your two questions.

1. FM can go in one of the remaining slots. The line cards have Muxes them bound to each FM which is "installed" in the switch.

2. you original question was related to the switches in the mode of the AIT.  As of today, there is limited line cards that operate in mode of the AIT.  3 FMs provide the necessary conditions for the rate of the line more most of the previously mentioned such line cards.  That said, once you install a N9K X9736PQ a minimum of 6 FMs are needed.  So if you have a failure on one FM, your BW system in the tissue deteriorates. The BW is shared across all line cards until the failed FM is replaced.

    Hello

Of course you need a few special steps if you want to update the BIOS!
The update of the BIOS is risky! If you use the bad BIOS or bad BIOS update procedure, you may damage the motherboard or module ROM BIOS!
This is why you should always read the details of upgrading the BIOS before you start the update.

Finally and above all many people update the BIOS without any reason. That s is really stupid.
In my opinion you should not update anything if you have no problems!
Therefore, never change a running system ;)

    Hi Tommy,.

During the ingestion of video from an SD card, why is there no audio when you choose an entry/exit point before transcoding? Sometimes there is a specific sound bite to ingest a clip rather than the whole thing or try to guess where the sound bite begins or ends.

That should work well. I just test it. Make sure that you have copied all the SD card before you start eating, not only the clips.

  • Are there special permissions (file access) required for reports write to temporary files?

    Report BUILDER 11.1.0.7 (64-bit)

    Form builder 11.1.2.1.0 (64-bit)

    Windows 7 Pro 64-bit

    Java:

    Java version "1.6.0_45".

Java (TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_45 - b06)

Java for 64-bit Server VM (build 20.45 - b01, mixed mode)

    IDAutomation LinearBarcode.jar

I have a report that prints the data with bar code on the detail rows in a report.  It uses the Java LinearBarcode.jar by Idautomation package for this purpose.  The Java package contains an encoder that returns a bar code in the form of a GIF image to a field on the report.  One of the arguments that it requires is a name of temporary file generated by srw.create_temporary_filename ().  When it works perfectly, and it creates the temporary image file in my folder tree 'House' (C:\Users\ < username > \AppData\Local\Temp) run under the report generator.  When I run this report generator with fast running behind her I can watch the report search, open, read and close this file LinearBarcode.jar several times for successive lines of the report.  Everything seems to be very good in the generator.

The fun begins when I try to call the same report from a FORM (Form Builder fleeing), where he fails every time, somewhere in the image generation stage.  In my view, that it fails to the creation of the image itself, when he tries to open the file for writing temporary image.  I can find the empty temporary files left after the report runs and fails, but the size of the file is zero byte.  When I run this report of my test form with Microsoft quick run behind it I see the report search, open, read and close this file LinearBarcode.jar for the first line of data in the report, then the report fails.  So, I know that the .jar file and the required REPORTS_CLASSPATH/CLASSPATH entries are synchronized with the location of the .jar file.  The report runs, and he finds the LinearBarcode.jar, it opens, it reads and closes it.  What I do is to not see any activity related to the image itself temporary file.   Thus, failure at least gives the impression of being in the image create step itself, which makes me doubt the safety of Java.  However, there is no message popup on Java security problems.

I tried implementing Trace for reports, but also, that does not give something of use, except to confirm that the report is certainly a failure in the creation of barcode code somewhere.  This is known from the error message in the log file: fatal error REP-1401 < barcode create procedure name >

I'm guessing that he might be a missing 'writing' somewhere authorization prevent the creation of the temporary file used to generate the barcode image file. This error only occurs under Java (run from a form). I was not able to find something about it by reading everything I could find on the OracleBarcode.jar demo.  I also not found anything in Google searches that does not count.

Are special permissions to allow these operations to temporary file as shown above?  If Yes, where and how are they set?  If this isn't the case, else anyone seen this issue before?

    Thanks in advance

    Hank

Resolved: This issue had nothing to do with the creation of barcodes. It turns out that there is a field in the State who had no defined source. It was not rendered because it was hidden by a format trigger. It seems that this case is handled by the constructor, but blew the engine in the reporting process used when a report is called by the forms. It took a long process of elimination, elimination of triggers, fields, parameters, and even the generation of bar code code until I found it.

    Thank you

  • Are there special measures that I must follow before a reinstall of Windows 7 on SSD?

I read a lot about safe deletion and quick formatting and partitions with regard to SSDS, so I would like to know if I should do something special before reinstalling my OS to an SSD.

If you do a new install of Windows 7 to a new SSD no special steps required during installation. Some readers SSD require manual 'too provisioning"which is basically leaving on the last 10% of the SSD not allocated.

Once the installation is complete if the SSD manufacturing is a utility for the management and maintenance of the SSD install and read the guide the user on what the utility includes in the way of features, some of which are for post Windows installation to optimize and maintain the best performance of your SSD.

If you re - install Windows 7 on an already used SSD then remove 'all' the partitions and perform a "Secure Erase" which will reset the SSD back at his own expense out of the box ("RAW"). And then install Windows.

  • Are there special network requirements to use AirDrop?

I did use AirDrop to transfer files between a 6s iPhone and a MacBook Pro to several networks, but it does not work in my own home network. All networks use the same ISP.

The ISP is not relevant. Both devices must be on the same network, so if you have a router dual-band make sure that both are connected to the same band. You also need a compatible router Hello. Have you tried resetting your router?

  • I used my iMac as a hard drive backup to my macbook once. Now when I update to El Capitan he says that it cannot be updated due to being of a backup. How do I change the drive mode so I can update?

I used my iMac as a hard drive backup to my macbook once. Now when I update to El Capitan he says that it cannot be updated due to being of a backup. How do I change the drive mode so I can update?

If you use your iMac as a backup to disk using Time Machine look for a folder called Backups.backupdb.

It's what keeps you upgraded your operating system, you must remove it.

Copy everything first if you are on a different drive. It would be wise to create a backup of the iMac on another drive also.

Check system preferences > Time Machine and make sure that the iMac is not selected as the Time Machine drive.

  • Some iPhoto albums appear empty with no sticker and say '0' when I fly over the album, but the photos are there when I double click.

To start, I read in countless discussions here on iPhoto glitches and patches, so I hope I'm not repeating this question, but I couldn't find the answer anywhere I had a question after question with iPhoto (mainly around several accidents after organizing photos into albums that made the album organization and this issue I describe below) and is considering moving to Adobe Bridge just to have a reliable place to store my photos without worrying about the constant pain. I realize that no program is immune to glitches, but the volume and the frequency that I've had with iPhoto is unmatched (which led me to wonder if it is just a user error, but I honestly can't understand for the life of me). So I describe my current number below, in the hope of resolving the issue so that either A. I can fix and give iPhoto a chance more or B can I ensure that my photos are safe and intact before transfer to another program.

Some of my iPhoto albums appear empty with no sticker and say '0' when I fly over the album, but the photos are there when I open the album. I have rebuilt the thumbnails, and it has not solved the problem. After the other issues that I had with iPhoto crashes, I made sure that all updates have been installed. Unfortunately, I don't remember if I've rebuilt or repaired the database, but it seems that all my photos are present, all mixed together and some showing in the albums 'empty '. Here's my question: is one problem, other than being boring? And should I switch to another program, or have I missed something?

    A few details:

    • I have rebuilt thumbnails today and it took 5.5 hours. It seems completing without problem, but has not solved the problem.

    • I have my computer fully backed up on an external drive to Seagate drive as Mac OS extended (journaled) as well as iPhoto backed up separately on the drive as well.

    • Looks like I have a "library" and "alias."

    • I use iPhoto to organize my photos. I use Photoshop to edit. I love the feel of iPhoto, but I lost hours and hours trying to organize and solve problems.

    • I use iPhoto 11 version 9.4.3 OSX 10.8.5 / / MacBook Pro processor 2.9 GHz Intel Core i7 Memory 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

More worrying is the issue of the repeated questions. How you use iPhoto and Photoshop together?

    Tabula Rasa:

Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its function of reconstruction. (In early versions of the Library Manager, this is the file-> control Rebuild. In versions later it is under the menu library.)

This will create a completely new library. It will then copy (or try) your photos and all associated metadata and versions to this library and as close as possible to what you had in the damaged library fix it. It does this based on the information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but it means that things not shared won't be there, so no slide shows, books or calendars, for example - but it should recover all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places.

Because this process creates a completely new library and does not change your old, it is non-destructive, and if you are not satisfied with the result, you can simply go back to your old.

I don't know about other issues. There are always 'problems' with any upgrade. You weigh against the benefits. I know that you need more RAM. At least 4 GB, maybe more if you can. Don't forget that this system is produced at a time when most of the machines have + 8 GB RAM and when Apple said 'minimum' they really mean it.  I recently inherited a MacBook that has 2 GB of RAM and the Mavericks. When I checked the memory, the use of the system was using 1.95 GB = nothing to run applications!
