As for the stability of Yosemite

I'm new to Yosemite and have a question. If I install and uninstall only downloaded applications on the Mac App Store OS X Yosemite could become unstable? I ask your suggestions because I do not know the true stability of Mac OS X knows what could happen with Windows.

Thank you!

any OS can become unstable and just because an application has been downloaded since the App store it was not subject to a stability test by any credible source outside the end user customers can ask, however the overhead of what a Windows Installer disperses all over your drive and what Apple does is not comparable. You can generally throw an application file or folder in your trash and's done it in windows that is not possible, as you know.

Hello. It is best to combine a stable software (10.11.6 is stable to this day) and a cool hardware, even with Safari (with many tabs). A stable software is not enough, a cooled optimal equipment is also essential; It creates a stable holistic system.

Until Apple, miniaturize perhaps, a sort of refrigeration in the circuits themselves (coolant will be not compact) due to the warming of the planet (some countries reaching a strong history of 46 to 65 degrees Celsius), cooling fan is not viable because it is so hot that he uses room air, regardless of how fast the fans spin (which would be just like a set of dry hair to the maximum) is not enough. An already hot air will get even hotter once Macs is used for long hours that could damage the GPU in particular, or perhaps even deform boards disconnect some circuits even or deform inside fleas which includes also circuits in them. Heat can also soften the welds in the Mac.

It is recommended to run fans manually with a fan control application, even if the Mac is new (over the past six years the iMac I have had 2 replacements of GPU - this is most probably because of the heat and lack of ventilation in the Macs.) Apple may have more emphasis on function and either looks-it can't be 50-50. Replacement could cost if not for Apple Care which is good to have), if you are in an area that is warm or hot, at least 2000 rpm which seems to be a good balance between cooling and too much noise (it keeps the GPU minus 70 Celsius, especially). At 2000 rpm, the wear on the fans is not the only striking, it's usually only 47% of the maximum rpm of Apple fans (good fans are usually evaluated during maximum 5 years running 24/7 all year). But the best is to turn off all the gadgets to make noise to make the quiet place and adjust the fans (with a minimum of 2000 RPM) as quickly as possible without being noisy for the user. It is better to add extra cooling in the back (like a small electric fan or fans of cooling for laptops) for maximum stability if you're not in a cold air-conditioned room.

It is good to reset PRAM then MSC after the fans and password recovery to use disk utility (two types of repair) manually before booting into your main operating system.

  • Impact of deleting vCPUs on the stability of the Virtual Machine

I have a few Linux SUSE virtual machines who don't use all their vCPUs.  If I turned off the VM and I remove one vCPU, what is the risk for the stability of the operating system when it starts with one less vCPU?

I think it should be fine - I would go ahead and try - stop the removal of the VM the vCPUs and restart - if not restart read the vCPU and you need to replace the kernel that supports the new number of vCPU said.

  • After the installation of Yosemite 10.10.1, I can't use the tool to distort the free. Anyone else having this problem?

I can click on the tool, but I can't catch the corners in the preview window and manipulate them. Anyone else having this problem, & have a solution?

    Jesse,

I'm afraid that have met you the Rectangle Live bug that is limited to the MAC versions from 10.7 and 10.8, but not of 10.9 (Mavericks) or 10.10 (Yosemite). If all goes well, the bug will be fixed soon.

Thus, a switch for the Mavericks or Yosemite with a reinstall might be the way to solve it here and now.

To get around it, in each case, it is possible to develop direct Rectangles to get the normal old shaped rectangles or Pathfinder > unit, or use the scale tool or the free transform tool.

A more permanent way round that is to create normal old shaped rectangles, after running the free script created by Pawel, see this thread with download link:

For me it is not a simple... it's Apple's fault.  It is also not a simple it is the fault of the Abobe.

Yes, it is a problem within the Apple OS except the dialog box.

However, this problem occurs only in Photoshop.

In my view, there is an interaction between the two, causing the bug in the dialog of Apple.

I also believe that this issue must first be brought to Adobe engineers to identify the problem and work with Apple to correct.  Who knows, maybe it's something in Photoshop being the cause of the bug appearing in the oOS dialog box.

To be told by an Adobe employee to simply say that Apple is incredibly short sided.   I wish the employee to work with me and might be able to return this report to the Adobe engineers for the glance and to contact Apple.

We know that in the past, Adobe has been able to work with Apple in a way where a normal person like me can not.

  • With the help of Yosemite 10.10.5 and safari will not leave for me to restart. Have you tried all the option force quit I know? Any suggestions?

I can't open or close safari when I try to quit he said its opening, but when I try to use it - it is not opening or answer. Safari is not rich in the dock as it should be when opened can not restart normally as safari is open. Force quit won't go beyond that. I'm stuck. Help!

If forced to leave in the Apple menu doesn't do nothing I guess you will have to hard reboot: press and hold the power switch up to the farm of Mac down, gives him a minute or two for the disc to spin down and then starts normally with the power button.

Do you think day as Backup just in case the problem is a sign of something bigger than just a glitch in Safari?

  • Mac stocks at the start of Yosemite at 50%?

Start Yosemite of SSD stucks at 50%. But mac starts up properly on HARD drive. Also mac boots perfectly when connected via USB SSD. I use Macbook pro 13 "mid-2012. All the tips are greatly appreciated.

Is your SSD Apple or third-party?

The point is before using your SSD drive, system needs clean unused parts of the drive to know which parts of the SSD are available to store data. This is done by the software Trim. As far as I know, Apple supports Trim software on Apple SSD drives only. If you use third-party SSD, it may be the reason why Yosemite is not installed.
