  I was watching TV using Media Center on my PC HP Media Center m7367c PC (running Windows XP Professional Version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3) when the power went off.   Now whenever I try to watch live TV, the program starts normally but freezes as soon as the audio starts.  The audio works fine, but no picture, the small rotating circle of progress hangs and the screen is frozen.  I can click the X (close Box) and the program closes.   I expect there are only one or two corrupt files that need to be cleaned or replaced.

  HP support is to use recovery discs to clear the system and return it to the original configuration.   Given all the software, data and updates, I have to restore, I don't want to go down this road.

  I tried running SFC/scannow but Windows XP system discs are needed and the PC vendors ceased to provide systems with their PC discs there are many moons.  I bought Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 3, but he came on one drive and requests SFC disk #3 while parsing.

  Open the control panel and select Media Center

  Click on uninstall

  Select the repair option

  Click next

  Click Finish when you are prompted

  See if that helps.  If not, then the recovery process will be needed

  Here's another question: are you looking in the \runtime\logs directory? The log files it may show more information on the problem, maybe before or after the time that develop these logs of PID? They may be secondary to another primary problem. Search specifically for the OutOfMemory string in the log files.

  If that can't find anything, I would suggest another thought: consider changing the JAVA virtual machine. I see you are using 1.6_0_14. There are several points between it and the last _21 you can try.

  The BMC controls the speed of the fans. If the BMC does not initialize and then they will run at 100%. You will likely experience performance problems as well as the limitation of the CPU and memory also occurs if the BMC does not work properly.

  You can sometimes reflash the system BIOS and BMC, but the BMC must be partially functional to be able to update the firmware. If the BMC is not enough to be able to update firmware, you can try draining flea power from the system initialization and fill without troubleshooting POST. All equipment connected to the system can disrupt the initialization of any other material, so no POST troubleshooting is to remove unnecessary material. If you have recently made a change at the start of this issue, then I would start by undoing that change.

  If the update, drain remaining power and the removal of unnecessary material has no effect, then you probably need to replace the motherboard to correct the problem.
