When I add a second VPN connection by using the commands below:

object obj-amzn2 network

10.34.0.0 subnet 255.255.0.0

NAT (LAN, WAN) source static obj-SrcNet obj-SrcNet destination static obj-amzn2 obj-amzn2

I see the tunnels going up, however, we immediately begin to see the Voip system lose the SIP traffic with its servers, and even if you can still use internet if you have an open socket you can not create a new session. It looks like a problem of routing for me, but I can't seem to find the place where

Any help greatly appreciated

So, you want to have two virtual private networks from Amazon to blocks of different destinations, 10.32.0.0/16, and 10.34.0.0/16, correct?

It is possible with the help of the command "access management". Please refer to the following documentation: -.

    http://www.Cisco.com/c/en/us/TD/docs/security/ASA/asa82/configuration/guide/config/access_management.html#wp1064497

Make sure you have good split tunnel and free of nat-access list for traffic destined for the interface of the ASA.

  • ASA 5520: Remote VPN Clients cannot ping LAN, Internet

I've set up a few of them in my time, but I am confused with this one.  Can I establish connect via VPN tunnel but I can't ping or go on the internet.  I searched the forum for similar and found a little issues, but none of the fixes seem to match.  I noticed a strange thing is when I run ipconfig/all of the vpn client, the IP address that has been leased over the Pool of the VPN is also the default gateway!

I have attached the config.  Help, please.

    Thank you!

Exemption of NAT ACL has not yet been applied.

NAT (inside) 0-list of access Inside_nat0_outbound

In addition, you have not split tunnel, not sure you were using internet ASA for the vpn client internet browsing.

You can also enable icmp inspection if you test in scathing:

    Policy-map global_policy
    class inspection_default

    inspect the icmp

    Hope that helps.

  • ASA encrypt interesting VPN traffic

Hello everybody out there using ASA.

I had a few IPSEC VPN tunnels between the company's central site and remote sites.

Two dsl lines were connected to the ASA, one for VPN traffic and the other for the internet.

The default gateway has been configured online internet, some static while insured roads as traffic to the sites of the company was sent through the other line.

A few days ago we changed the configuration of ASA to use only a single dsl connection, then the line serving the internet has been cut, while the other will become the gateway default and static routes have been removed.

The VPN connections instant stopped working and trying to send packets to the remote lan, it seems that ASA will not recognize that the traffic is encrypted. Obviousely we checked cryptomap, acl, ecc, but we find no problem... do you have any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance,

    Matt

    Hello

Your exit the ASA must be encrypting the traffic between XNetwork and YNetwork.

If the ASA does not encrypt this traffic, it could be because there is a problem with the NAT configuration.

When the ASA receives a packet, it must first check if there are ACLs that allows traffic, passes through the inspection engine and check that the associated NAT. For example, if the package is coordinated, then the private IP encryption will never take place.

Could ensure you that packets from the XNetwork are really reach the ASA, the NAT rule is correct and you may be looking for "debugging cry isa 127" and "scream ips 127" debug to check for errors of incompatibility.

In addition, what is the condition of the tunnel trying to communicate: "sh cry isa his"

  • ASA (Active standby) site-to-Site VPN Question

    Hello

I had the question as below

Site A - 1 unit of VPN Netscreen firewall

Site B - 2 units of ASA VPN firewall

I'm trying to set up a VPN from Site to Site, but a problem with the configuration of the active standby.

Initially, I tried Site A 1 unit Netscreen and Site B 1 unit ASA vpn site-to-site. There's no problem.

but joins another ASA at site B and configure it as active / standby then I saw a few questions that I need help from here

    Things that confuse me.

    (1) do I need to use 2 public IP address on the SAA? (public IP for assets and the other a public IP ensures IP. it seems like a waste of the public IP address.)

    (2) link failover and dynamic failover can be configured on the same interface?

Please help in this case, configuring VPN from Site to Site with active configuration / standby.

    just to add to this,

just be careful when you dedicate an interface for dynamic failover, make sure that it is the highest capacity, or at least the same ability as an interface offers th

so if you use concert for passing traffic interface uses a concert for dynamic failover port, several times we saw people using the management for steful interface when they ports of concert and they run into issues where the dynamic function does not work as expected

  • Multi frame ASA SSL VPN Question

    Hello

We have a pair of firewalls, we do multiple contexts on clients.  We have recently updated their and have been using the newly Anyconnect customer support.  This all works fine but I feel I'm missing something.  If the customer does not have the anyconnect client already how do get?  Normally, you go to the web page and it will download the client, but all I get is "Clientless VPN is not supported in context mode Multiple." which is good, but how is the customer supposed to to get the customer in the first place?

    Any information would be helpful.

    Chris L.

    Hi Chris,

The AnyConnect WebLaunch feature is not supported in ASA running on multi-contexte mode.

There is a demand of improvement that has been opened to allow this as other characteristics while ASA in multi mode context. Here is the link, you can refer:

Hi, I was able to migrate my clients off the VPN concentrator 3030 and on the ASA 5520 VPN. The problem I have is now the ASA sees these clients VPN from my external interface and they can get of the demilitarized zone, because I did the specific NAT and rules for inside. Is there a way to make the VPN client network seems like it comes from inside network?

  • Ike ASA VPN question

Hello all, I have problem with an IPSec tunnel and always looking what is exatly the problem. Have 2 ASA AAA. AA. AAA. A and BBB. BB. BBB. B where BBB. BB. BBB. B has 2 interfaces LAN is another DSL modem. When there is no problem with LAN tunnel is ACTIVE, but when I ALS rocking a few errors on the tunnel:

IP = AAA. AA. AAA. One, received an INVALID_COOKIE unencrypted notify message, drop

IP = AAA. AA. AAA. A, package in double Phase 1 detected. Retransmit the last packet.

    SH isakmp sa is:

    ITS enabled: 1

Generate a new key SA: 0 (a tunnel report Active 1 and 1 to generate a new key during the generate a new key)

    Total SA IKE: 1

1 peer IKE: AAA. AA. AAA. A

    Type: user role: initiator

Generate a new key: no State: MM_WAIT_MSG4

If the router is waiting for ack but not expected and there is no package.

    At both ends, I deleted:

    cry clear isa

    cry clear ipsec

I checked the peer addresses are correct, what is bodering me, it's the missing package. I think that this packet is sent to the other interface which is down and so the other ASA cannot get the negotiation.

I will be grateful if anyone can help, I'll debug and sniff for that.

Don't know if that's the only issue, but to start you need a 'tunnel-group C.C.C.C' ASA A.

If there is still a problem, download him debugs on both sides at the same time please.

Also, what version of the software the ASA work, and how you simulate the failure on the main interface of B? Is it possible that in your test one can always happen to B through its main interface?

I configured Cisco ASA 5550 as a VPN server at the head office.

I configured the material Cisco ASA5505 branch customer.

Tunnel is up & I can access my local computer in the branch of LAN H.O. But I am unable to ping / LAN access machine from branch headquarters.

It's just a communication face right now.

    Need help.

    Thank you

    I.A

Is your customer/PAT ezvpn or NMS (network expansion Mode) mode?

If the NEM, then you will need to add the following in your inside_nat0_outbound ACL:

    inside_nat0_outbound 10.10.10.0 ip access list allow 255.255.255.0

Also, please add the following command on ASA5550:

    management-access inside

And from the remote host, see if you can ping 10.10.10.1.

  • ASA Cisco VPN question

    Hi Mokhalil82,

It's pretty weird that the ASA will show phases 1 and 2 upward and the Watchguard show that phase 1 is not.

It is possible that the tunnel will appear next to the ASA but gets terminated in the same instant that thus we see the phase 1 and 2 momentarily upward.
Would you be able to share the outputs debug?

    Kind regards
    Dinesh Moudgil

    PS Please rate helpful messages

    Thanks for the update, Mokhalil82

For the last time, to simultaneously debug both sides and share issues, I think we can dig with that information.
In addition, if we can capture packet as well, that will be useful.

Make sure that the date and time is correct on both sides.

    Kind regards
    Dinesh Moudgil

  • PORT of Configuration.DEFAULT of ASA AnyConnect remote VPN access.

Hello!!! Now, I need to configure the AnyConnect VPN remote access. And I have a question.

The default 443 AnyConnect port, but the port is occupied on SAA. We use this port for another application.

How to change the port to connect? Is this true? Thank you!!!

Hi, please add the following configuration:

    1. Enable the WebVPN on the SAA feature:

      ASA(config)#webvpn
    2. Enable WebVPN services for the external interface of the ASA:
      ASA(config-webvpn)#enable outside
    3. Allow the ASA to listen WebVPN traffic on the custom port number:
      ASA(config-webvpn)#port <1-65535>
  • The ASA with crossed VPN Port forwarding

    Hello

I worked on a question for a while and I have managed to track down the issue, but I don't know how to solve the problem.

I have an ASA 5505 8.4 (7) running with a tunnel for incoming remote users anyconnect vpn. I also want to configure incoming Web server port forwarding.

The question seems to be traversed rule which stops incoming port forwarding:

NAT (outside, outside) NETWORK_OBJ_172.16.1.0_28 interface description dynamic source hairpin to natting users vpn on the external interface

When I disable the port forwarding will work perfectly (according to tracer packet that is).

I have attached the config to this post. I would appreciate any idea how to get the through VPN and the transfer to the incoming port working.

The config has been condensed to remove unneed config.

    Thank you

    Hello

What is the configuration commands, you use to put in place the static PAT (Port Forward)?

The problem is most likely order of the NAT configurations such as configuring NAT above in the upper part of the NAT configurations.

Configuring static PAT, that you could use to make it work would be

    the SERVER object network

    host

    service object WWW

    tcp source eq www service

NAT (server, on the outside) of the interface to the static SERVER 1 source WWW WWW service

The above assumes the source for the host interface is "Server" and the service that you want to PAT static TCP/80.

Note that we add the number '1' in the 'nat' command. This will add at the top. The same should be done for any other static PAT you configure you want for these VPN Clients.

    Hope this helps

  • Cisco AnyConnect VPN question

I am ASA 5505 that I am of is running correctly by using the AnyConnect client. The question is, can I connect to the fine external interface, but cannot ping or attach them to any host on the inside. When I connect, it accepts the user name and password, and I can run the ASDM or SSH to the firewall very well, but not further. In the control, after I log in, I get an IP address inside, of the order of 10.7.30.x as expected.

    access extensive list ip 10.7.30.0 inside_nat0_outbound allow 255.255.255.0 10.7.30.0 255.255.255.0

I ask you to add that it is because you have not specified any exceptions for the return shipping. Once you add to it, will allow you to go through the tunnel VPN, packets back. When this command is not there, you will be able to access everything on the SAA but nothing behind it.

Let me know if it helps.

    Thank you

    Vishnu

  • cannot ping remote ip on ASA no firewall (VPN site to site on SAA) configired no proxy, icmp not inspect, no chance

    some help me

    (Q) ping remote ip unable on ASA is not Firewall not on pc (VPN site to site on SAA) configired no proxy, icmp not inspect, no chance

Note - I can ping PC but not the same subnet ip on ASA2 L3

    PC---> > ASA1 - ASA2<>

    Hi Matt,

Let me answer your question in two points:

    • You cannot ping an ASA on another interface other than the one where you are connected to the ASA of.

For example, ASA1 and ASA2 are connected through their interfaces 'outside '. ASA1 (or any other device on the external interface) can not ping/access ASA2 on his (ASA2) within the interface. The only time wherever this can be substituted is a tunnel VPN with the command "access management" configured for other interface, for example management-access inside

    • Traffic ASA1 ping to a remote client behind ASA2 won't over the VPN tunnel and as such is not encrypted. That's because ASA1 will forward traffic based on its routing table that probably this way through its 'outside' interface Except that traffic is allowed with the ASA2 (using the ACL), it will fail.

We can do on the routers of sourcing our ping to another interface, but it will not work on the SAA.
