  If you know what the license and activation for your security key, you can simply re - install it with the command "activation key" from the global configuration mode.

  If you have lost the key, you'll want to open a support case to get it retrieved.

  Just in case where if you have basic servers then put inside dmz connections do not allow. If you have more security then should not be any problem. As you mentioned on the IP ranges vlan if all belong to the inside and then connecting with outside shouldn't be a problem.

  The display of the license is confusing, but you're all set.  You have an evaluation license VSA, Essentials and an Essentials licensed + license.  The ASB on watch box that VSA uses the Essentials + license, not the eval license.  The license Essentials + shows that no expiration.

  8000 and 7000 series devices are devices that came with the acquisition of Sourcefire. Strictly, they perform the Sourcefire software only and do not have the features of the ASA (routing, AnyConnect VPN and many others). They usually also provide larger flow capacities during execution of all services of firepower (IPS, AMP, AVC and characteristics of the URL). So if you don't need all the features ASA then the 7000/8000 series devices is probably a better choice.

  The ASA5500-X series includes the best of both worlds. The ASA and Sourcefire software are running on the same box. So you can still use all of the functionality of the SAA and then also re - direct specific traffic to the Sourcefire module for additional inspection.

  Yes, you're very well sort your licenses later - eval mode will last for 60 days with full functionality - in other words you will have the functionality to use anything. Just be aware of what the Essentials Plus is much more limited compared to some other models of licenses. Once you apply your license, you will be limited for features you are allowed to of course.
