ASD ask an element of the catalog and custom properties

Just curious if anyone else encountered problems with properties custom when you use ASD and demand action from point of catalog.  For example we are defining the name of business group in a custom using {custom.vCAC.BusinessGroup.Name} as the value of a custom property property.  Weventually hen requesting a plan detailed in the traditional way, it is calculated and the name of group in this area.  But when you ask the same through the ASD action plan, it is not evaluated.  I get "{custom.vCAC.BusinessGroup.Name} ' as text in the field."  Someone at - he found a solution to this?  Thank you

Mike

Custom properties are not sent by default with ASD... you get 5 "global variables"...

_asd_tenantRef

_asd_subtenantRef

_asd_catalogRequestId

_asd_requestedFor

_asd_requestedBy

_asd_subtenantRef is the id of the business group...

You could catch the name like that...

var vCACCAFEBusinessGroupId is System.getContext () .getParameter ('__asd_subtenantRef');.

var vCACCAFEBusinessGroupObject = vCACCAFEEntitiesFinder.getBusinessGroup (vCACCAFEHost, vCACCAFEBusinessGroupId);

var businessGroupName = vCACCAFEBusinessGroupObject.name;

L System.log (businessGroupName)

To get to the back of the custom properties, you could do that

customProperties var = new Properties ();

customProperties = vCACCAFEBusinessGroupObkect.getCustomProperties ();

This property returns an array of properties...

You can then loop through each object properties in the table and get the key/value

Hope that helps somehow!

    Import and export and rendering speed depends on the CPU. The disk contributes only a negligible amount to import and export and rendering speed. You would spend more time to pass the photos that you would gain in speed.

  • Restore the catalog and links after the C disk failures

    My drive C crashed recently so I replaced it with a new drive and I'm trying to reinstall all my software. My photos were all on my drive D (which is not affected). I managed to get my old C drive, works again and I installed it as a slave (now K) drive.

    I find the folder 'My project' on the old C drive and copied to the folder my pictures on my D drive.

    I then clicked file > catalog > location custom and traveled to the new location for my catalog. However, when I click on open, it waits a few seconds then the dialog box disappears and returns to the main photowell (empty): "no items match this combination of filters...» "(The filters are all checked..)

    As any of my photos have moved and I still have the orginal catalog file, I was hoping that I could just point the PE9 instal new to the catalog and everything would look as if nothing had happened... • 2 How to remove an element from the tree and the database block tree?

    Hello

    2 How to remove an element from the tree and the database block tree?

    Kind regards

    Abdetu...

    The problem is caused by not sending forms is not a VALIDATION of the database because he thinks that there is no changes to save.

    Forms does know that changes to the data block, he does not know the changes made by the PLSQL INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE calls and procedure.

    Try to remove the line to block, rather than using a DELETION like that...

    go_block ('INSP_EQUIPMENT_TYPE');if form_success then   do_key ('DELETE_RECORD');end if;

    If you wish to continue using your original DELETE instead of my change above code, you can use different techniques to force forms to issue the COMMIT to the database, including this one...

            DELETE ...        FORMS_DDL ('COMMIT');

    Be careful... This will be the VALIDATION of the database, but the changes to the data block will not be sent to the database!

    I posted a few other ways to issue a VALIDATION of forms here

  • Using elements in the field and the transfer of my computer at home?

    I want to use my ultrabook with elements in the field in order to sort, shoot, and edit the images in time.  When I go home can I just transfer these files from my computer at home and use Get Photos to add them to my main catalog?  Tags, version sets and changes made in the field will survive, so that it would be the same if I had done this treatment on my computer at home in the first place?

    Here is a more detailed workflow suggestion, assuming you want to do the bulk of your organization in the computer field.

    It is based on the notes above and the use of a backup PSE to transfer photos and catalog of the field at home a computer.

    -Create a new catalog on your computer in the domain before you download files.

    -organize entirely unconstrained...

    -Prepare a later import in your main catalog, after the backup and restore processes (details to come...) or wait until after the restoration to make this work.

    -Backup to a disk external (there are beautiful portable USB drives in ideal for this)

    -(Note: quand vous avez votre sauvegarde, il est sûr de re-formater vos cartes.)

    -Restore from the external hard drive to your computer at home (custom destinatin). You will have a new catalogue with all your changes.

    -If you did not already preparing indicated above, it is here. Select the files in the batteries and common as label "IsInAStack", and then select the version games and assign a label like "IsInAVersion". Now, you can also assign keywords to the components of cells. For albums, use the common keywords. If you need save the order in albums (for slideshows...) export and rename the files as explained above and reimport them in your catalog.

    -Now you can re - import the files in your main catalog

    -To re - create batteries select files with "IsInAStack" or their label and either stack manually or with the help of the feature automatically 'suggest piles. Sets of version can be restored only like batteries. Albums must be recreated: you drag the selection based on the keyword corresponding to the album.

  • Two computers OK, but where are the catalogs and collections?

    I guess I missed something here, but I'm new on this.

    I have an iMac desktop and a Windows 10 laptop. CC of Lightroom installed on both and both work well.

    But I don't think I understand this cloud thing. I assumed that I could create a catalog, collections slideshows etc. on my iMac. Then I could sign and go out with my Windows laptop. Then I

    could sign in Lightroom CC on my laptop and BOOM, there is all the stuff that I created on my iMac on my laptop via the cloud.

    I assumed that all the work that I do was preserved in a cloud of Lightroom, but I now think that I'm wrong. Am I?

    If so, how can I do things on my iMac, and then synchronize with my laptop Windows 10?

    Thank you.

    I assumed that all the work that I do was preserved in a cloud of Lightroom, but I now think that I'm wrong. Am I?

    Your work is usually saved on your local hard drive, unless you use the sync to work with Lightroom Mobile features.

    How do I synchronize Lightroom desktop and mobile application of Lightroom

    The part of the cloud of the cloud makes Adobe refers to the granting of licences where license controls are managed remotely by license Adobe Cloud servers.

    Software installs and runs locally. Œuvre produced by the software is saved locally, unless you choose to use Adobe Cloud storage or use the Lightroom Publishing Services.

    Lightroom catalogs and collections are stored locally.

    I don't want to upgrade to CC LR6.  I have re-uploaded LR 5.7.1 last night, and now I can't have hundreds of my photos.  In addition, my develop module has been disabled.  How can I have access to all my catalogs and don't use NO of CC?

    Hi Pamelaa,

    Go to the location where the Lightroom Catalog is stored and try the most recent catalog.

    Also in Lightroom, go to file > open recent item and see if you have any other catalog here.

    And for the disabled development module, please see: module development disabled

    Let me know if it helps.

  • Organizer delete the catalog and hard drive?

    You highlight the files to delete (Ctrl-click to select) and simply press the delete key. You get a dialog box with a check box to specify whether you want also deleted from the disk.

  • Delete the catalog and recording files in Lightroom?

    I want to find the duplicate image files and delete all but one of my Lightroom Catalog AND SINCE THE DISC itself.

    can anyone recommend a method to achieve this more effectively?

    I need to see the images side by side in the overview before choosing what to mix and that should be kept because some files have the same file name but a different picture.  This is a result of sloppy organization and also pictures come off several cameras with similar naming sequences.

    the Lightroom Catalog I'm in is 60 000 + images with LOTS of dupes.

    Sorry for the noob question, but in another post I found the answer is simple.  I look at all THE PHOTOGRAPHS in the catalog.  Then, select a set of individual files which must be provided to screw up.  I can either hit the button DELETE (DELETE in the EDITION MENU is not active) or don key CONTROLS (on a Mac) and select REMOVE.  A choice is given to take on the image of the catalog or what I want, it's DELETE DISK IMAGE.  I have a lot of files to go through but it makes my job a LOT easier.  Thank you ADOBE!

  • I use Lightroom 4.4 on windows 8. Less than 500 photos on the catalog and the catalog size is currently at 2.16 GB. Lightroom works fine, but I'm taking a risk by leaving the catalog to grow beyond 2 GB?

    I use Lightroom 4.4 on windows 8. If I have less than 500 photos on the catalog, I do a lot of alterations and cleaning of the images and therefore the size of the catalogue is currently at 2.16 GB. Lightroom works fine, but I'm taking a risk by leaving the catalog to grow beyond 2 GB? Should I close it and start a new catalog? Thanks for your suggestions.

    Many local adjustments (brush strokes, spot healing) can have a huge impact on the overall size of the catalog because they are all saved as stages of the individual history and so I wouldn't worry - there is nothing wrong with your catalog. See my thread here since a few years back: which affects the size of the Lightroom catalog file? where Rob Cole usefully thought of it for me.

    You could delete the history if you wanted and that I'd be willing to bet that the size would be reduced considerably. That said, my catalog file is larger than 10 GB (as I do a lot of local changes as stated in the thread I linked to) and it causes no problem at all, apart from resulting in a backup of slow catalogue (my previews resume another 30 GB or more). I have not yet felt the need for the history of the Reformation, but doing so probably would increase my catalog to about 1 GB, so it's an option if size becomes a problem for me.

    My advice: continue anyway and don't worry in this regard.

  • Share a lightroom catalog - Does the catalog and images on external hard drive work?

    I manage a small part of the flow of images overall of the client by updating their prescence web basis with new works and relabelling/download earlier works. I believe that this requires the catalogue and the library of images that will be hosted on an external hard drive that can travel between us two. We work both on PC with LR 5.3.

    The workflow should look like this:

    Customer uploads new images on external hard drive and import LR

    'ClientCatalog' is created

    Flags of pickaxes and creates a Collection of those Picks

    Hard disk is handed to me when I opened "ClientCatalog".

    Make changes suggested in pictures

    Add detailed tags and metadata

    Download on various media sites, social and Web sites

    return the drive to the customer

    Is there a potential problem with this workflow? My assumption is that if everything is housed on the external hard drive, so there is no worries for the catalog with all updates. Can someone find out about potential problems, that I might have forgotten? Are there of "security protocols" you would add in to this workflow (not to mention that everythign on another hard disk mirroring) which would you suggest?

    Photwell wrote:

    I came across this problem with my own catalog a few weeks ago. I plugged my external hard drive into a different USB port and everything was gone.

    Not gone, just addressed. It can be re-addressed as required. I think that's enough on MacOs, to name the drive. Under Windows, the details vary depending on the version of the OS (Google for instructions), but it's for Win7:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/Windows7/HT/change-drive-letters-Windows-7.htm

    and it's a good idea to assign a drive letter quite a bit more later in the alphabet, to restrict the possibility of ever finding this already taken letter. For example, it might be X: to HDD external , or P: for Plug in car, or anything that makes sense to you...

    After having done this, the re-start of Lightroom and open the catalog, images will be at the first go in offline mode (previously used location not found). To get online, it will be necessary to re - browse the folder parent for all your image files, to reflect its new location under the new reference in car. That done, the location information of catalog for all images and subfolders located under this parent folder, automatically updated. If that parent does not appear in the list of records of LR, you right-click and choose "show Parent". Display LR then reorganizes to reflect this real hierarchy.

  • Power outage caused all the catalogs and folders to disappear, LR3.4

    Running LR 3.4 on a PC with Vista 32 bit when there was a power outage in the region. I turned off the 'power' to the PC.

    When the current was restored I rebooted the PC and LR and all the catalogs, folders and the files are all gone

    and LR wants to begin importing as it has just been installed. The last time the lrcat has been saved was June 20.

    I was wondering if there is a more lrcat to hidden somewhere in the PC because it works well or is there other

    way to recover my last two days work and restore to the point just before the blackout?

    Enjoy any suggestions before I get back since June 20 upwards.

    Well, a side note here: you did not change anything.  You see, LR at startup, it creates a .lock file.  You had LR running, then deleted a .lock file, which was for the _currently_running_LR_, not the missing catalog file.

    First thing I would do would be to do a complete search for any file ending with LRCAT.  Yes, as mentioned, you can find the location of the currently selected catalog by looking in the catalog settings, but he won't tell you that you have opened a bad.  :}

    So first, find all files ending in LRCAT.  So try them, one at a time, by double-clicking on them. If it's not her, out, double click on post then a.

    Good luck!
