Ask me to install the latest version of flash?

Hello

I am running Windows 7 64 bit, but using the 32-bit version of IE9.  I installed the 11.0.1.152 Flash Player, but I can't watch videos on youtube or just about anywhere elsewhere. It ask me to install the latest version of flash.  I uninstalled and then reinstalled, but still does not.

I don't know if it started when I upgraded to IE9 not that long ago, or whether it is unrelated to that...

Any help would be appreciated, I'm not really tech savvy!

Thank you

Amanda

  • Impossible to install the latest version of Flash Player on Mac (OS 10.9.5)

Asked me to install the latest version of Flash Player on my Mac (OS 10.9.5). First of all, everything went as usual: I downloaded a disk image, called "AdobeFlashPlayer_22au_a_install.dmg", and when I click on that I get a "Adobe Flash Player Installer" on my desktop, as usual. When I click on this Setup, I see the "install Adobe Flash Player.app". So far so good, but when I click on that app install, the following window appears

    Adobe Flash Player_message.png

but there is no other window open (I rebooted my Mac and begun the process to the course, and I get the same message).

When I click on 'Finish', I'm brought back to the Web page to download the Flash Player installer (which is already on my computer).

Can someone tell me what could go wrong here?

    Thank you very much

    Hello

This window appears if you have multiple instances of the Flash Player installer open and a reboot would solve the issue, but since the restart has not resolved the issue may be that you don't have the correct update file. Could you open terminal and type md5 /Users//Downloads/AdobeFlashPlayer_22au_a_install.dmg and see if the value is 99e3ccf6bc343de051908066ea06248e.

If this isn't the case, then you do not have the good try Flash Player. Please download the get3.adobe.com/flashplayer.update/osx update file.

If the problem persists, please let us know.

  • Try to install the latest version of Flash for Firefox on Windows XP, get the Internet Explorer Script error

I am trying to install the latest version of Flash (file install_flashplayer11x32_mssd_aih.exe), browser = Firefox 14 (current), OS = Windows XP.  I tried several times, making sure to disable Norton Antivirus Autoprotect first.

At some point throughout the process - while downloading or during Assembly - I get the following error message:

    Internet Explorer Script error

    Line: 1

    Char: 10010

    Error: 'ActionLaunchAdobe' is not defined

    Code: 0

    URL: http://127.0.0.1:1174/app/_js/adobe.js

Do you want to continue running scripts on this page? [Yes] [None]

If I answer [Yes] or [no] the result is the same - the program crashes. It does not close, and when I close it manually it asks if I want to stop it. But if I leave it there, nothing happens.

By the advice of the site, I uninstalled Flash in order to restart costs. This means that, instead of having an outdated Flash version, I now none.

I tried to RTFM, but research for this error go empty.  I'm curious to know why Internet Explorer being participates in it at first. But mostly, I'm just curious as to how to get this thing to work.

Thanks for you help with anything that can give me.

  • When I install the latest version of Flash player, I get a plugin

When I install the latest version of Flash Player (11.6.602.171), I get a firefox plugin. Why I don't get the Flash Player instead? OS is vista Home premium, firefox v.18

Hmmm, the part of Flash player that runs inside Firefox is a plugin. You mean you get a puzzle piece icon where the Flash Player to appear on the page, or a message on activation of the plugin or update the plugin?

First of all, try to enable Active Scripting in the areas of Sites Internet Options, security settings, trust.

You should also add a corrupted on.

    Click Start, type: Internet Options

    Press enter

    Select the "Advanced" tab

Under reset Internet Explorer settings, click "reset".

This should restore the Internet Explorer default settings.

    Then reinstall Flash Player

  • Problem: Cannot install the latest version of Flash Player.

Impossible to download and install the latest version of Flash Player.  The installation program downloads very well but the installer will not download the Flash Player. I keep getting a message "connection error" the installer.  I checked my DSL connection and it works properly. I use Windows XP (32-bit) with FireFox 38.0.1 and Flash Player 17.0.0.169.  I had similar problems during the installation of the 17.0.0.169 version but after 3 or 4 attempts it finally downloaded and installed successfully. My Flash Player configuration is set to 'Allow Adobe Flash Player install'.  I tried to close FireFox and my Norton software on the security line during installation, but I still get the same error message. Is the latest version of Flash Player that is compatible with Windows XP?  Is there a problem with the Adobe servers are down? Thanks in advance for your suggestions on this problem!

  • Why can not install the latest version of Flash, when I already have the oldest?

My antivirus software is disabled. Currently, I have Flash on my computer. In the troubleshooting page, I see clouds in the picture so I know that my current flash works.  I went into internet settings for modules and flash is currently enabled.  Why can't I install the latest version of Flash? I tried to run it and save option and it has not always worked. I can see the installer in my downloads folder. But all I get is a black box of vacuum that does nothing. What else can I try to get the installer to install the updated flash version?

All processors Intel i3 having at least 2 hearts, your specifications far exceed the requirements; See http://ark.intel.com/products/family/75025#@All

I have some computers with much slower processors, and Flash Player 14 works perfectly well on them also.

  • can not install the latest version of Flash

I use Firefox 26 and I try to install Flash version 11.9.900.152. I get this error message: Application currently in use and it is unable to complete the installation.

I went to Adobe and found the instructions to uninstall and trying to uninstall Flash, I am trying to delete all the files in the c:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash folder. I can get them all except:
NPSWF32_11_9_900_152.dll, which produces the following error: the file is opened in container plugin for Firefox

How do I get this stopped so that I can upgrade to the latest version of Flash? It's so darn frustrating.

Hello pattiea, please try to restart your computer and reinstall flash immediately after (before firefox or another browser)...

  • Plugin Flash will not install even after installing the latest version of Flash

When I go to a site that contains Flash content, it says "a plugin is required to view this content" and there is a link to install the plugin. In addition, there is a message at the top of the page that says "additional plugins are required to display all the media on this page" with an option to "Install missing Plugins". I click on the link to install the missing plugin, and a dialog box appears that says "the following plugins are available: ' and 'Adobe Flash Player 11.0.1.152' lists with a checkbox next to it. The box is checked, and I click on 'Next' to install. He's going through the motions and then told me that 'no plugins were installed. There is a link to manually install the plugin, which brings me to the Adobe's Flash download page. I unchecked the box for pair McAfee Security download and downloaded the latest version of Flash (to be honest, I downloaded actually this exact version even about 10 times today). The dialog box appears, I save the file and once it has downloaded, open the folder that contains (my downloads folder). I then, close all programs (including Firefox) except for the folder of Windows Explorer I want to run the installer from. I double-click the Flash Installer to perform the installation. The installation process is complete, the installer tells me that the download is successful, and my browser opens upward with a message "Successful Installation" from the Adobe Web site. Yay! My installation is successful... Orrrrrr not. Return to the page with the Flash media - always have a message saying that I need the plugin. Try to download plugin once again... no dice.

THEN, I go to "Manage my Add-ons" thinking maybe I need to activate the plugin. There is no plugin Flash (or Shockwave) listed on any of the menus - it is as if it does not exist.

I downloaded the latest version of Java because I read somewhere that Flash requires Java work; I installed the "add-on Compatibility Reporter" so I could force Java to be enabled. It made no difference whatsoever, best I can tell.

I also went to the Adobe homepage where you can see what version of Flash you use (http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/) and it does not even show that I have installed Flash. In Internet Explorer, it shows that I have installed Flash, but it's the previous version (but this is probably due to the fact that I downloaded Flash in Mozilla, not IE, and they use different modes in each browser - so an update that you download from a browser does not necessarily apply to the other browser).

So in summary: I don't know what on Earth is wrong here, but I'm about as frustrated that I've never been in my life. I don't know why the installation of Adobe Flash is said she is successful (it sleeps for me?), but there is no plugin appear in my menu manage add-ons, and I googled all the possible combinations of content in this message and have not found a solution that works yet.

It seems that you have found the 64-bit version of Flash. Is your Windows 7 64-bit?

I did read your entire post, but NPSWF64_11_1_102.dll which is Flash 64-bit; This turns into a novel when it should have been a short story.

First, uninstall all Flash your system by following these instructions from Adobe

Second, get the 32-bit versions of the following. Why? Unless you use an unofficial Firefox 64-bit version, the regular Firefox is a 32-bit browser and needs 32-bit Flash.

Third, test Flash on websites where you had a problem before.

If this does not work, my last suggestion for you is to follow the instructions from Adobe for troubleshooting. I don't know what's happening with your system, which could possibly be the cause of the problem.

If this answer solved your problem, please click 'Solved It' next to this response when connected to the forum.
