  I detected a strange (for me) behavior of the IsDefined function. I have something like:

  < cfif IsDefined ("url.3d") > < cfset = "value" unevariable > < / cfif >

  * If url.3d is set, all right. All work as expected.

  * If url.3d is not defined, CF throws an error "Parameter 1 of function IsDefined, which is now url.3d, must be a syntactically valid variable name".

  * If I use structKeyExists (url, "3d") instead of IsDefined("url,3d"), works as expected.

  I have tried different combinations of variable names and extended (EP, url.5d, or form.3d) and the problem seems to be the number at the beginning of the name of the variable.

  This is the expected behavior? I found it very strange that it works if the variable exists and only generates an error if not. Can it be considered a bug and should be reported?

  It doesn't matter if the language is CF or JavaScript or PHP-HTML - variable names are considered invalid if they do not begin with a letter or underscore.  You must friezer prefix a variable name with a number.

  Also, I have heard many developers complain IsDefined().  Use rather StructKeyExists().

  I have a requirement to generate a report with the XML output. This output will be used for downloading information to another application. I know the names of all the tags and I can't have other tags.
  I have a file xml for bi publisher and work very well but the group element added a tag more beginning with LIST_.
  for example

  I want to remove all the tags that begin with LIST_.
  Any suggestion?

• Problem with the help of Word 2000 with Vista computer

  I installed MS Office 2000 Pro on my Vista platform.  Everything works EXCEPT the word.  When I start word
  I get the Basic with no toolbar window, a blank page and nothing else.  I get the following message when I close it (using the Task Manager, as the program is not responding).  I've seen this problem on the forums, but nobody seems to have an answer, and I tried to do it intelligently as to what is causing the problem by searching for each of the
  hang the signatures, but can't seem to find, so I can't say if there is a conflict or what.  I uninstalled and cleaned the registry, files and such usually left over after uninstall, but have still not luck with Word, well that whenever that everything else works.  If I could give a meaning to the coding in signatures hang I would try but I'm not a programmer and outside to recognize that part of the encoding is hexadecimal, I am operated by.  Any help would be appreciated!

  To the best of my knowledge of the version of Office Pro that I use is 9.00.9327 with Windows Vista Home Premium OS.  All the MS current updates are installed with the exception of. The PS Office since I couldn't get the program to run right, that I thought I'd add Ms could make the problems worse.  The computer is a Toshiba Satellite with processors Dual Core Intel, 4 GB of Ram and 230 GB HD

• Value of the loop variable for begins with the last entry of the previous run

  I have a problem with a loop for... I am a beginner with Labview and perhaps do not follow the order of events (since it runs not on a line-by-line as typical of programming languages), but I think that my problem is trivial.

  Say I'm running a loop for 16 iterations and I want to build a table which, for example, consists of four 0s, 1 4s, four 2s and 3 four s.   I initialize the array outside and using shift registers to be added to the matrix in the loop for.

  However, the first time I run the program I get funky results.  In subsequent runs, the first value in my table is a 3, and the rest of the rest of the table is moved down by 1, so I did that three 3s at the end (for example).

  Can someone help me understand how to solve this problem?

  I don't know if you had the chance to join the ask the Expert Live recent event with Lucien Avramov. I did, and guess what? I won a free subscription to Cisco Live virtual environment!

  I'm a little ashamed to say that I used a bug in the rules of the game to win. Know everything and then during the presentation, we were presented with a survey question and poll participants had a chance to win such a prize for each question. I downloaded the PDF and read the rules. It seems that the first person to answer a question would win. You can guess what happened then. I started by clicking on the radio buttons before reading the content. I replied that I have never heard before NX - OS. At this point, I think I heard one of the people to say Cisco "we already have one"never heard "! I don't remember the last time I laughed so much. I hope that my hotel room was really soundproof. In the next question, I think that I said that there are more than 60 Nexus in my environment! Now it makes sense!

  I think I've won more than once, but the rules did not have so many bugs and there is a limit of (1) price per participant. Cisco is likely to change the rules (randomizes) next time if they want honest answers. However, it has been a great experience and don't miss any future events. You never know what the father Christmas of Cisco is there for you!

• Perform an Action only on the files in a folder with file names that start with "PDF".

  I want to run an Adobe Action on a network folder where to save the scanned, copiers to remove PDF/A files from files that aura. I know that the files will all begin with 'PDF' because of the naming convention of the scanner HP software. I don't want to operate on all the files because there are files scanned several machines and the CV gives us PDF/A. It would not be a big deal to work on everything, but behavior varies the date file has been modified, then it makes all the files seem to be scanned at the same time, which is confusing when people are familiar looking for a file with the time wherever it has been analyzed. I think javascript is the way to go for this, but I could be. I'm new.

• switching on .portals with a specific page on a portlet

  If a user clicks a button in a portlet right in test1.portal (this test1.portal has 2 portlets, the left one and another is right portlet and portlet left has all the links during the click on each corresponding page link will appear right portlet through CPI), after clicking on a submit button in a portlet right in test1.portal request goes to a servelt and retrieves the required data from the DB and needs to display these data in another. testB.portal Portal say with a specific page on a right portlet (portlets testB.portal 3, a left and another is right portlet, left portlet has all the links and then click on each link of page corresponding is displayed in a portlet right by CPI, another portlet down right) with a page spicific in a portlet right in testB.portal. We use the IPC JSR 168 portlets.
  
  My question is, after obtaining the necessary data from db in the servlet, how to send the request to testB.portal with a specific page filled in a portlet right from testB.portal.

  Hello

  It really is not much integrated in the framework, WLP to support the passage of information between .portal files. By design, they are the 'level' of a portal which is the highest level information is shared between portlets.

  So my first suggestion would be to put all the portlets you want to interact together as part of a 'portal', in one .portlet file, and then you have many options for the transmission of data between portlets:

  Looks like you may have a virus or other malware. Get your updated antivirus program and boot into Safe Mode. Note that some viruses can hide from your normal antivirus program, so you really need to scan in Safe Mode. To enter in Safe Mode when you turn on first, press F8 on every seconds until you get the menu, and then select Safe Mode. Then run a complete system scan.

  If that suits him fine. If this is not the case, use system restore to go back to an earlier date at the beginning of the problem. To run system restore, click Start-> programs-> Accessories-> System Tools-> system restore. Click on the box that says show more restore points.

  Oracle Database 11 g R2 (11.2.0.4) EE 64 bit running on Windows 2008 Server R2.

  When I create an index of context on a column varchar2 (surname), it works fine when the surname begins with a consonant or a vowel. But when the family name starts with two vowels, that it fails to return the file?

  Please see example below:
