  This problem has been reported after that install some recently released update of windows... Currently the ability to perform a restore of the system to an earlier date. You can also try to uninsatlling updates of windows manually from Control Panel > windows update.

  Start > all programs > Accessories > accessibility

  Select the on screen keyboard

  Use this option if needed

  If make sure that keys filters is not checked

  Click

  Start > right click on my computer

  Select manage

  Click on Device Manager

  Click + next to keyboard

  Right-click on the driver and then select uninstall

  Restart the computer

  Go to the manufacturer's website and search for updated driver

  Press Fn + NumLock

  Keyboard works now?

  If not works, you are able to remove the keyboard and try another to determine the keyboard is defective?  Can you reconnect the ribbon cable that holds up?

• 8.1 bricked keyboard, p3-171

  Hi guys,.

  Upgrade to 8.1 windows almost immediately (as was required by the facebook app), but this caused the keyboard to stop working.

  On the site it says "lull pilots" must be installed before moving on to 8.1, but obviously we did not.

  A phone Acer support and they said that the only option is to return to windows 8 using the recovery partition.

  There must be a simpler solution for what is essentially a driver problem! I have applied updates to retrospectively, but has no effect.

  Problem solved!

  She comes to install Office 2007, a few days after the installation of 8.1, then the Office received an update the next day. The office update fixed somehow the keyboard problem!

  Do not despair, here is the solution that has worked for me so far and didn't make me replace my keyboard like this man here says - what a waste of money.

  (1) type in your search for windows: regedit.
  2) go to computer > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SYSTEM > setting > Services

  (3) scroll i8042prt (it's the name of my PS/2 keyboard in the system).

  4) go to Enum > make sure your files NextInstance and Count are on hexadecimal number "1".

  That's all.

  Since I posted this, I've not had problems with the keyboard at all.

  I recommend installing Acer Philips (drawn from the acer site) so you are able to see what available drivers, you can install and keep your laptop up-to-date. And no, Acer did not a driver update for the keyboard.

  I recently had to 'reset' my Aspire switch SW5-171 to the base os install as the visual studios had currupted files that don't would not delete the OS. I upgraded to windows 10 before resetting. Everything works as it should, but now my screen resolution appears to be "zoomed" I tried to update the graphics driver several times. Programs such as chrome, firefox, Skype, File Explorer look good. However, in the windows menu, icons are pixalated and blurred. Computer management is blurry, the office itself feels like he has "zoomed" like everything is much larger that they used to be.

  No, because they are two very different types of keyboard and are not interchangeable. You wouldn't be able to mount the v5-531 keyboard on your 5750g properly.
