• My Aspire V7 582PG cannot detect external monitors

  I recently bought an Aspire V7 582PG, put in a new SSD and then installed Windows 8. The laptop works well, except that it cannot detect external monitors (in Control Panel, I get "Has not detected a different view".) I tried with 2 monitors (different models) that are known to work, via HDMI and VGA.

  I thought it might be a driver problem. Device Manager > 'Graphics cards' show 'Display card base Microsoft' and 'NVidia GEForce GT 750 M. The two drivers are up-to-date. 'Monitors' shows 'generic PnP monitor", which is also updated.

  Then I went to http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers to download the driver for my model. The only one who had the relevant air was:

  The HID monitor drivers

  But when I unzip and run the Setup window closes a few seconds; I think it hangs, rather than installing correctly.

  Any suggestions?

  My Acer tabs they need additional drivers to recognize the HDMI port.

  I think having unzipped in a directory and open a DOS window with admin rights and run the application inside that. At least if an error occurs, you should be able to see. Sometimes just doubleclicking opens and closes a window so fast that you do not see the error.

  Also in looking at support for a 'ultra' V7, I see several drivers for the chipset VGA and monitor. All may be required for the video display to work.

  I would stay away from Windows 10 right now, especially if the drivers are not available for your laptop.

  If you agree, give your Windows Update download and install updates, or you can turn on your laptop and find 10 Windows installed.

  I'm new to the Forum of Acer.

  My friend has an Acer Aspire M1640 running Vista Home Edition. In the Manager of devices under network adapters, there are four errors "all starting with Microsoft 6to4 adapt." The NVIDIA card works very well and can get internet. I followed the instructions elsewhere on the internet and uninstalled the Microsoft 6to4 (error code 31) card and then re-installed the component inheritance. The alert has disappeared. I tried to update the drivers for all, but I was told that they were already up to date.   I uninstalled the network cards and I ran the utility of the seller and found nothing on the manufacturer of the wireless adapter. Then...   I have red 10 Windows and returned to Win 7. This was based on several legacy programs I need to run and win 10 did not.

  The best news! Well for this laptop which is...

  I spent the day looking for drivers and located all drivers I need. Has taken some time and some trial and error and ended them. Those available on the Acer download section all failed for my model.

  I had to change the BIOS to Legacy to prevent the Windows 7 hang during installation. I bought a copy of Win 7 and finally had the chance to use it.

  The BIOS has been locked - should understand this and managed to unlock and turn off the TMP. Then I was good to go.

  Rinse the operating system (goodbye to Windows 10 / / I spent the weekend with Win 10 for the 1st time and I doubt I'll ever go back) and managed to make the appearance and the way that I need for my development environment. Work more QUICKLY and efficiently.

  I bought 4 of these laptops and will now serve Win 10 and install a copy of Windows 7. Win 7 what now for a great price...

  I have read some of the messages in the form and figured out how to locate all the drivers and did!

  This one is SOLVED! If you are looking to switch back to WIn 7 - it is not difficult!

  A few minutes after installing the upgrade of Windows 8 offer that I got with my Aspire 5560 on my touchpad scroll function no longer works.  When I checked the support for drivers downloading Web site, I found two ads for the 5560.  A list was 5560 15 "and there is no drivers for Windows 8 and the other was 5560G that does not have Windows 8 drivers for the touchpad.  My machine is 15 or 15.6 so I think I should use the 5560 15 "site.  This site has no drivers for Windows 8, when I'll be able to get a driver that allows my touchpad scroll?

  The drivers for the Aspire 5560 and 5560G are the same, except for the graphics drivers.

  So a quick presentation on what happened:

  I ordered an Aspire V7 - 582PG - 6854 Ultrabook on the week of the 2-3 day Flash sale on 12-13 August. I made the purchase on the 13th before the flash ending sale and received an e-mail the next day by saying that my order has been cancelled. Of course, I was curious and sent saying why, and they said that they have made some changes audit and systems for information that I put in the order. It was a wave explanation for a cancelled order, so I asked if there was anyway I could re - order the product with the delivery of the Flash sale because the sale was already over.

  I me am redirected to the 1-800-910-2237 number and got a hold of a customer who has been useful and understood my problem and tried to fix the price of the V7 for me. He could not do it for me, so he referred me to the Temple, Texas HQ for the investigation. I explained my situation, went on hold for a few seconds and said they could do absolutely nothing about it because the sale was already over. I'm frustrated and upset. I had legitimately bought it during the flash sale, but was notified after that sale was over that I cancelled my order and now they could not give me a detailed explanation why they could not respond to my request because I was "too late to call. I had to work 6 days immediately after that I had ordered the laptop and went back to 19:00 every night, so I don't know if it there was no possible way to contact me in this time and had to remedy my situation during the contact hours.

  If someone from the Acer could my situation, I would appreciate it a lot. This is my first purchase of laptop and I don't want things to go sour.

  I hope someone here can help me shed some light on my problem!

  I bought an Acer Aspire V/582PG 15.6 "HD touch about a month ago. Today, I was playing games with a couple of friends when suddenly the screen went white. I could still hear the music from the game and could talk to my friends on mumble. I tried to put the computer to sleep and then turn, but the screen is still White gloss. I tried to stop it and start over; the screen is always white.

  I then plugged on my TV using hdmi. This allowed me to see the Windows login screen. Shortly after that I logged in Windows, the computer turns off. Now I can't start and none of the lights on the computer are on.

  Does anyone have an idea what could have happened? Do you think that this is covered by the warranty? Never had a problem like this before...

  I have a month old acer aspire v7-582pg, and I've never been able to link my Microsoft account. Whenever I add my Microsoft account, I get a message saying: Please wait that doesn't go away after putting my password in. I end up having to delete my account and create a new one without an attached e-mail. I tried to link several times, but continues to be the same thing. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

  It seems a problem with skydrive aka onedrive:

  1. connect to the affected account
  2. Press the Windows key + L to lock the computer
  3. Switch to a user who has administrator privileges account
  4. Open the Task Manager and switch to the 'Processes' tab (press 'More details' If a process tab does not appear)
  5. find restoreoptin.exe & end task this process
  6. return to the affected account (Start Page, click on your account/image name, click the account that you want to pass to)
  7. Open the menu of charm (windows key + C), select 'Settings', and then change the settings of PC
  8. Select Skydrive
  9. Change the storage file, Camera Roll, and synchronization parameters (not sure which one that does the trick)
  10. logout and log back in
  11. you will be asked is no longer with the blank screen 'Please wait '.

  Hey guys,.

  So, it's a few months since the last response and a little more than 4 months since I created the thread, but I am happy to say that I could solve the problem on my own. As I suspected, it was related to the hard drive, but not because the hard drive was defective. I opened my laptop and realized that the SATA connector was only at half way pushed. It seems that one of the pins to keep the SATA cable was loose and would not stay, so I just put a little bit of Chatterton to prevent it from slipping again. Now, it has been 3 weeks and I have been without incident. I can't believe it took me so long to figure it out, but better late than never.

  I hope that someone else with the same problem falls on this thread and is able to take advantage of my solution. It is unlikely that this a problem with all models of this laptop, but only in this case, it is for an Acer Aspire V7 582PG. Image of the source of the problem is below.

  I have a laptop Aspire V5-431-4648, installed the HARD drive of the Aspire 775 G in V5, I need an installation CD for the motherboard drivers.

  Windows 7 Professional x 64 is on the HARD drive.
