  I'm learning to APEX.  I use version 4.2.6.

  My question is, I set a text field called 'FINANCIAL_YEAR' in the login page.  I wanted to know how to assign this value to a text element of Application level (on page sent), so that I can get this value through at my request.

• can we write the value of a data element that is not displayed in a form?

  I work with Oracle 9i forms developer. While the practice sessions, I'm for any writing a value to a data element that is not displayed in the forms. can I do it or not? for example: to insert the value into the field the orders of the form module (orders.fmb) order_information table order_total. This table can be found in the oe schema.

  Yes. It is because the article in this form is always calculated and not extracted from the base. To write to the database, put an extra point for the total in your block and CONTROL integration prior and PRE-UPDATE-trigger, assign the value of the element automatically calculated in the control block for the item in the CONTROL unit, as

• ADF: Assigning the value of column VO to OutputText.

  I have a VO who im showing as ADF read Table only. And one column that VO should be included outside of this table, I mean, I don't want to include this column in the table that I want to assign the value of the column to Text output component (Active).

  Here, I had to employee vo drag and drop as readonly af:table employee.
  in this readonly af:table no need to show their id of employee, but you don't want to show this id used as some text output at the top / bottom of the table.
  I think reason?. as it comes to your condition.

  If am so right, moving later.
  Drag and drop the af: table without employee id. and then drag and drop the employee as af text id: output
  important: employee select id in the user interface that came out text go to partial property inspector trigger are at table.

  You may wonder why I like this mean?
  If you like this then means that move through the records of documents / select in af:table means revalent employee id get you. This way you get the desired results. :)

  My requirement is to call the Web service with the participation of the ADF page.
  
  The steps I did:
  
  1. I created a data control to the WSDL-based Web service.
  
  2. simply drag and drop the process, it is automatically created the form with the fields of entry, press the Process button
  
  3. when I entered the values and then process button, it'il pass web service values corretly.the is called with the values entered correctly.
  
  4 but when I try to assign the value of some other material that does not work.
  
  I am assigning value to the value field navigate to the properties of the particular field = "CRΘER."
  
  When I like what the value is displayed on the screen. But it will not pass the value to the web service.
  
  I think that the value is only the display on the screen. Stored not at the level of links. Kindly guide me in this.

  In Javascript I have value assigned to an element on the page P2_NAMES

  The problem is that the console shows correct but to my surprise, the page output has passed an empty value on the next page during validation.
  
  When I click on the button 'Session' (Apex bar at the bottom of the screen) after I run the page - I don't see the values reported in the table of elements of page apex. Which means that the assignment of the value was not held, but the console displays the output.
  
  I also made sure that the Source "used" to the page apex element "Always, replace the value that exists in the session state»

  There is also a feature in the APEX_UTIL package that will help you to define the session state of
  an Element of Page or an element of the application :

  But you must write a PL/SQL process to define the session state:

  BEGIN
      APEX_UTIL.SET_SESSION_STATE('my_item','myvalue');

  If through JavaScript, you can get through: AJAX.

  If default page layout then: dynamic Action advanced type run the PL/SQL Code runs above code block

  I created a form that accepts input from the front desk.  As soon as I select ACCOUNT_CODE using LOV, I would like to define a DISPLAY only field INSTALMENT_AMOUNT with values that is available in another table based on the value of the ACCOUNT_CODE field.

  I already have the query to retrieve the details.  However, I wanted to know how to proceed.

  I created 'point page' INSTALMENT_AMOUNT in the form.  On this point in relation to a created "computation".  But the value is been showed that when I open an existing record for editing.  Not during new save when I try to create.  I would like to fill the value, when I create a new record and after selection of the ACCOUNT_CODE value.

  In this case, use a dynamic action change in the P270_ACCOUNT_CODE article, with action set the value by specifying P270_ACCOUNT_CODE in the elements of the Page to send and your source of SQL as the SQL statement.

  When I saw the dynamic textbox file showed "line of Test." If I did the < projinfo > element reads like this:

  The dynamic TextBox was 'Test line more text here. It is completely ignoring the number "1". How can I fix it? When our company actually uses it, it is possible that we will have (a) number (s) in the values of the organization unit.

  The code is very well. Probably you embed the police, and if you did you do have figures included.

• APEX 4.2 limiting size of the value dynamic Action

  Hi all, I'm using ApEx 4.2.5 with 11 g BD and stumbled on this problem.

  I'm trying to set the value of a div within an HTML region. To do this, I use one set dynamic Action launched by a custom event "search" when user press enter or click OK to a search bar. I also use the PL/SQL function as set type body.

  I tested it and it works fine except if the content of the value is large enough (about 30,000 characters or more). I can't find any information about a size limitation for the return value of this type of package. I get this error code: ORA-06502 when I'm looking for a big content, and it seems that this error may occur when "you attempted to assign a value to a numeric variable, but the value is greater than the variable can handle", but I'll be back a PL/SQL CLOB variable in a div, so I don't see any kind of limitation. I think the limitation can be in the call made by apex in the background AJAX...

  I need help on this, thanks in advance.

  I have an interactive report that has the text box 'Research report' usual. I have a text separate element called: P1_VPN on the report which is filled in when the user connects.
  
  What I would do is to have the text box 'Research report' must be assigned to the: P1_VPN as a default and the dataset returned to rely on this value.

  could someone help me before I get out of my hair. Here's my problem.

  I read 3 values of an array of 3 elements i.e. 1,2,3. These values are then compared to a constant value, example if the first element of the array is 1 and it meets the comparison condition can send a digital camera of output for that channel on data acquisition

  I want to be able to send a value from a table to its corresponding comparison and then on its designated channel on the acquisition of data, the whole point of this is due to the fact the table element will not always read the value 1,2,3 for example could be 2,3,1
