  This is a complete scam.  You can report it to your local police.

  For your own protection, you should:
  • Change your passwords on email accounts, accounts financial and sensitive to which accounts you access online from this PC.  RIGHT NOW!
  • Run a full scan of your PC using your antivirus application...    Also download and run a full scan with Malwarebytes Anti-malware (free edition).  MBAM is a very good solution in addition to your primary backup antivirus/antimalware application.
  • I would also go here: https://www.microsoft.com/security/portal/Shared/Help.aspx and follow the advice of "I think that my PC is infected", including potentially calls MS help.
  • Above all, do not delay!  If you have any concerns about the handling of it, then disconnect your computer from the internet and call MS before anything else.

Strange thing I noticed, when I go to network status and share and view Gateway desktop computer shows the "Yukon Ethernet controller" as the connection while the e-machine device says Im using "Intel (R) PRO/100VE Network Connection" Im using the same cable (Yukon) and put in place for both computers, so I was wondering what that was all too.   Follow the step by steps in the process.

  Step 1:

  1. Go into settings.
  2. Click on change PC settings.
  3. Click to select the category of accounts.
  4. Select your account and click on the logout under the e-mail account option.
  5. In the local account selector window, in the current password field, type the password that you use to connect (if it prompts)
  6. Click Next, in the next window, type and retype the new password and an indication of password and click Next.
  7. On the next window, click on the logout button and Finish to continue.

  Step 2:

  1. Go into settings.
  2. Click on change PC settings.
  3. Click to select the category of accounts.
  4. Click to connect to a Microsoft account.
  5. Configure the account with the new credentials.

  Your Windows 8.1 must have your new account as the default account.
