AT110 F2 Acer Bios recovery server

Recently, after that a few reboot the server when the update of windows, the BIOS has been reset for manufacturing date, which remind me of the battery was missing, so turning off and replace the battery. After battery replace turn on the server, a silence of blank screen on the hard drive and no response. Not even the logo appear, read the e-manual there is a recovery pin, place the PIN in the recovery for the BIOS mode, turn on hear 2 beeps, then almost 5 minutes, 4 beeps and then turn off/on power even once, does not work.

Claire tried pin CMOS 5 + minutes with a new battery in and battery for powering down, does not.

Tried to copy the BIOS on usb and restart it, does not as well.

Any thoughts will help, thanks in advance.

After many attempts and finally get this working, I hope that it helps others while ACER itself usually and cannot help you.

0 turn off your server.

1. remember the latest version of the BIOS, then upload at least 1 more recent than the current version.

2 copy the same BIOS file 3 times and name (AMIBOOT. ROM, SUPER. ROM, FLASHABL. ROM) I do not know which he read.

3. copy these 3 files in a stick FAT16 or FAT32 USB (no need to be bootable)

4 plug the Jumer s on "Recovery pin" to activate (2-3)

5. plug in the USB

6. turn the server and you will hear 2 beeps

7 and usb should blink (if usb led in it) and 3 ~ 5 minutes later heard a fast beeps

8. your monitor should see a screen in the BIOS recovery mode.

9 follow the instructions and the server turn off,

10 recovery in 1-2 rider card, unplug the USB, and then turn on.

11 server will make a quick run on then go to off, wait 2 ~ 3 minutes then it works again

10. the BIOS fixed with a newer version.

Thanks to Acer DO providing any help on this issue, as well as NO documented anywhere

in their manual on this problem. I will definitely stay away from this brand in the future.

  • G62 bios recovery failed

I have a big problem with my laptop:

    HP g62-b04SL

    Series {removed privacy}

I deleted all partitions and I installed ubuntu. Due to a problem with the brightness keys, I read on the web that someone tried to upgrade the bios. But without windows (not), I'm updating the bios with the rescue procedure: WIN + B key to start and a new fat32 bios USB.

So now my pc is dead

I read this website of hp recovery method:

    (1) HP_TOOLS partition is erased.

    (2) I did not understand if the USB SHOULD be bootable.

  • HP pavilion 17 e040us: hp pavilion 17 MSC legacy bios recovery

I changed my HP to start with legacy CSM, but I couldn't boot from the Windows 7 boot disk.  The laptop came with Windows 8, configured for the UEFI boot before my change.   The screen after startup is empty and now I can not even access the bios menu.

I tried a Windows 8 USB recovery disk, but the computer does not seem to try to boot from flash, even with the drive disconnected and the drawer open.

I watched a video of a man to disassemble a HP Pavilion completely down to the base plate, but I have not seen a backup or RTC battery anywhere in the computer.  If I could find the battery backup of the bios to remove or reset the bios somehow with the material, I would.  I waited 4 hours without main battery attached without change.  At this point I don't know if this Pavilion model has same battery backup.  Anyone know how to reset the bios to UEFI preset without the bios menu?  Please note that push F2/F8/F9/F10/F11 and a whole bunch of other buttons does not bring the bios menu at startup (as he did when he was in UEFI mode).

My next steps are to use the HP Recovery Media application on a 2nd computer create 6 window 8 DVDs and see if it boots from the CD.  If this does not work, I'll call HP support and see if they can send me a custom recovery disk.

It seems odd that I can't even a menu of bios in legacy mode.  Is this normal?  I suspect that my change of something corrupt configuration and no boot will no longer work.  If the start of the disc does not work, I think I'm stuck with trying to sell some source of backup power keeps the bios State, however long it is.

Hmm, I got the same answer. I found the document at the following ADDRESS.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-17-notebook-PC-series/5375409/model/5447381/document/c01684768/

A hard reset can be solved that. If this isn't the case, you can try to recover the BIOS.

For BIOS recovery information, see the document at the following ADDRESS.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-17-notebook-PC-series/5375409/model/5447381/document/c02693833

BTW, now you know why the warning of changing mode in the BIOS to the CSM has been posted.

"Are there ways to do it without software or firmware?  The short answer is the above procedure.

  • Envy 17-j130ea: HP Envy 17-j130ea do not have access to the BIOS recovery and black screen

    Hi people,

The laptop was waking up alone, so I decided to try to update the BIOS. Bis error. The tool has been run on 64 Win10

The HP tool left me with a black screen and after that I tried to hold the low win + B and the power to access the Bios recovery, but there is no nothing. Tone flashing, nothing.

I don't know if creating a flash drive with the bios will help as I don't have admin rights in another machine to create the flash drive using HP tool.

Any ideas? Flash player won't work if BIOS recovery is not pulled up?

    All ideas are welcome.

    See you soon

Well, I managed to solve the problem overnight without having to wait three days for anyone to answer that after the end of the week, with the following steps:

    1. I had to create a USB key with the bios by using the executable auto HP. It did not help that for some reason any that you have to have the administrator rights on a windows machine. Why aren't files available as well in a simple zip file? It would have helped a lot! Please stop HP right now provide only Autorun... it only compliates things. It took me an extra day just because I couldn't access a machine windows with administrator rights to install the executable file.

2 - Insert the memory stick with the bios in the dead computer.

3 - Press the Win + B and press the power button. The machine didn't do any beep or noise that all the guides say. I just kept pressing the key B + Win until I saw a recovery of the Bios screen, finally. Without the memory following stick this same step has not shown, nor does the computer make a noise or show any display, just died.

4 - wait for the update at the end.

My Advisor. Do not update windows, it all messed up. It is very reliable to get the memory stick. Too many windows things can interfere in the process, just don't do it from Windows, or at least create the memory stick first while you still can.

  • How can I create on my Acer system recovery discs?

I compurt any new branch (ACER expires), already having Windows 7 installed. They advised me 1st step is to have a back-up for window 7.

I want to do it myself, I began to use the computer again.

    • Can you send me guide/steps to store my window7 on DVD?
    • How many DVDs I need, I have a box of 4.7 GB dvd, so 4-5 enogh?

    Thank you

When you use the Acer software to make records of recovery, 4-5 should be enough.

    Acer - create recovery discs:

    http://Acer.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/A_ID/12866/kW/recovery%20disk

Your Acer computer includes an eRecovery Management software that allows you to perform operations of restore directly from your disk hard drive , which allows a faster recovery process and no need for discs. eRecovery Management does, however, allow to create recovery discs. The recovery disks will allow you to restore your computer something happened to your hard hard disk .

Note: According to Acer computer you have your eRecovery Management version may be slightly different, but the ability to create your discs will be available.

To create your recovery discs backup follow these steps:

    1. Click on the Start menu, and then click all programs.
    2. In the list of programs, click the Acer file, and then click the Acer eRecovery Management .
    3. User account control Windows may request your permission to run this program, click Yes.
    4. In the Acer eRecovery Management window left click backup, and then click create a default disk factory.

Note: If you use a laptop or netbook, you will be asked to connect your power adapter, make sure that the power adapter is plugged in before continuing, and then click OK.

    5. In the page to create a default disc factory select the drive you want to use for burning the recovery media, and then click Start.
    6. The disc is ejected whenever he has completed burning, if several drives are required insert a new disc when you are prompted, and then click OK.

What makes a system image is another option, but it will usually more then 4-5 DVD.

Create a System Image in Windows 7 before installing

You can make an image of your installation of Windows 7 system and it allows to restore Windows 7 to its state when the image was made.
    1. click on the Start Menu and type "Save" then click on back up your files.
    2. then click on create a system image.
3 select the location where to save the image of your system, and then click Next.
    4. check your discs to back up, and then click Next.
    5. verify the settings, and then click Start backup to start.
    6. once the backup is complete, it asks to create a system repair disc, click Yes.
    7. Insert a CD or a blank DVD on the hard drive, then click on create disc.

  • The Acer Aspire BIOS recovery procedure

I ran BIOS update program accidentally in my Acer Aspire desktop on windows 10 PC, the program began suddenly and run in the DOS window, then it crashes before finishing, don't know what stage was when crashed on the BSOD, which needed PC to restart to the no reboot No Acer logo, black screen and PC beeps a long short beeps, tried to boot from USB but as long as the screen is black, I can't do anything, only to become recurring beeps.

You don't know how to recover the BIOS, if someone had this problem with the BIOS and manage to recover the BIOS, I very much appreciate their help on what to do.

    Thank you

Hi, thanks for the information and the link that I found very useful and informative, to find the good BIOS I couldn't find the option to select the operating system, the operating system is required to download the drivers only. I don't know how to deal with that and if the OS is or is not required when BIOS downloding.

I also found some information in the user manual on the version of the BIOS and how to recover the BIOS on page 25 failure, but it is unclear what BIOS to use the original during the expedition or the latest version or the other between two release dates?

What is meant by the wrong BIOS is specific, bad model, or an incorrect date?

    Thank you.

I look forward to hear from you.

  • Crisis of the BIOS Recovery on Satellite P100

    Hello

Usual story. Windows (WinPhlash) BIOS updated was wrong and my P100 is dead.
I fell on the collection procedure of the crisis that should work on any laptop Phoenix BIOS based.

However, I either do something wrong or the motherboard is blown more than I expected.
In my case, I follow the procedure carefully, but my P100 won't enter in crisis recovery mode at all.
He's not even trying to access/boot USB floppy drive.

I just tested with A100 my wife and all the readers (HD, DVD and floppy drive) light their LEDs right after turning on the laptop, if the floppy drive works fine. When I press the power button on my P100, fans begin to turn, turn hard drive (and heater for chipset gets hot after awhile), but by pressing Fn + B or Win + B as described in procedure of CR does not any change in the behavior of the laptop. Floppy drive is Toshiba, marked, so there should be no compatibility issues. Voltage all the USB ports, but somehow my P100 refuses to access the floppy drive at startup.

    Any help?

I found your previous thread on this topic:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=74272

    > 1. How to create a DVD repair or start for windows 8.1 pro with UEFI Bios and boot secured.
To be able to boot from sources other than the drive HARD internal, the boot mode must be set to the CSM and secure boot must be disabled!

    > 2. I created a USB recovery using the control panel in Windows Pro 8.1. It starts OK. It will be the same as that I've created using the Toshiba Media recovery creator or will it drivers Windows Pro 8.1?

Your laptop has been preloaded with Win 8. Right? For example, the USB flash stick memory you just use the Toshiba Recovery media creator contains the Image of Toshiba with Windows 8. Don t mix this Toshiba image with the image that can be created using Microsoft's own backup and restore function. Both are different pictures!

    > 3. Check it with disk management, then 3 (450MO, 350 MB and GB 10.90) recovery partitions, 1 EFI system partition and 2 partitions primary (C: programs) and D: for data. I created the recovery DVD and USB 2 disks. Can I remove the 3 recovery partitions?

The last partition contains the files on HARD drive recovery. Usually this partition will be created again when you use the Toshiba Recovery disk to put the laptop back to factory settings. So in the case where you n t need this files or the partition, you can delete
