Thank you very much and excuse my English again.

  • ZV5000 - want to get the BIOS update but do not have Windows

    Hello

just got my trusty zv5000 AMD out of the closet and intend to play with Linux on it.  At the moment there no bone because the HD has not, although I noticed that the BIOS is a former F.21 and would get to you last F.35.    Unfortunately, it seems that I can only do the update of the BIOS if I am running Windows.

Wondering if there is a bootable ISO or floppy image available that I can use to do the update.  I prefer not to have to locate a copy of Windows, install on a new HD just to update the BIOS.

Thanks for any help on this

Thank you, I finally understood how to do the BIOS update without installing Windows:

    • Copy the executable update BIOS for USB
    • Connect a portable flash drive
    • Power laptop and Windows 7 install cd boot
    • go into the Windows Recovery Tools command prompt
    • change directory to the USB player
    • Run the executable file
    • Utility to update the BIOS works well
    Thanks again for your response.

  • I also need the BIOS A8M2N - THE (Naos GL-6) 3.0

    Hello

I have a SR2030NX.  After all of my USB ports and card readers slots failed, I also wrong improved BIOS (A8M2N - Naos GL - 6 mb) version 3.10 in an effort to try to repair ports - and then try to fix the video by uninstalling and installing the Nvidia chipset and video drivers. Now, my screen remains black, until XP starts.  I would like to bring back the BIOS to the original version, if someone could send me please the instructions and the file/s.

I'd appreciate also all the advice on getting the key USB ports working again.  I tried to update the drivers and hub controller, but I see only an "unknown" device in Device Manager and all USB and card reader ports are dead. I put two USB PCI cards in based on and can live without the built-in USB ports and card readers, but I want to be able to get the BIOS mode without fail if/when necessary.

    Thank you in advance.

Thank you for your help. I already tried all the latest video drivers and chipset from Nvidia, but I think that the problem is related to my flashing a bad BIOS update, which made me lose my monitor in the startup of the computer.

I downloaded the BIOS version original 3.0 since a link provided on this forum (thanks again) and hope for the flash back of 3.1 this weekend.  I learned this correction in the Hardware forum, where people have problems because they have wrong improved their A8M2N - LA, Naos GL-6 BIOS to version 3.1 hardly similar with monitor lost when starting out upward. This MB only works with version 3.0 of the BIOS.

    Hello

Unfortunately, you can only create 1 set of recovery media.

Copy and burn recovery USB DVD and then using DVD to make the system recovery will not work.

What you can do is to backup all your data on an external drive. Do a factory reset with the USB of recovery to recover all partitions including the recovery on the HARD drive partition.

It seems that you want to perform a clean installation. According to this mode of

    http://support.Dell.com/support/eDOCS/systems/ins8200/en/1H018bk3.PDF

... it is assumed that you have a Dell brand XP reinstallation CD. If so, simply follow the instructions in the maual (count p. 99). If you want something more detailed, try one of these links:

    http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/cleanxpinstall.html

    http://www.WindowsXPHome.WindowsReinstall.com/indexreinstallguides.htm

The second is for XP home. If you have SP2 or SP3, this is for you:

    No service pack or SP1:

Advice: Ignore the ads and scroll down to part 1.

Also, some Dells (not sure of your) contain a hidden recovery which are accessible by pressing Ctrl + F11 partition before Windows has the ability to load. If you do not have the correct CD, after return.

  • Do I need the disk to completely restore my laptop?

    Hey there,

I am wanting to restore fully my laptop so it's like using it for the first time again.

Do I need a disk to do this because I don't have a drive with him and my product key is on a sticker on the bottom of the laptop.

Please answer if you know it.

    Thank you

    Kim.

    PS; My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite A100 - 02 k.

Contact the Technical Support of Toshiba http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/home.jsp or http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/navShell.jsp?cf=su_contact and see if you have a recovery Partition.  If so, it would be possible to do the restore from there (using a special keyboard command) or can be used to create a set of recovery disks.  He shouldn't tallk to them though, as it's their recovery process and non-Microsoft.  If you have no recovery or disk partition, ask Toshiba to buy a set of recovery disc (usually for a small fee).  I looked but could not find them, but they are probably still available, but just not listed on the site.  Don't forget to backup your data this process erases the hard drive clean at ALL.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!
