ATG Logging advice-isLoggingdebug or vlogDebug?

Hi all

Purposes of registration I see following two methods-isLoggingDebug and vlogDebug.

Is there a difference between above two in terms of everything?

Which method is the standard approach to use?

Kind regards

Prateek Gupta

Hi David,

I advise to only use vlogDebug if you need add variables to the output. It should give you the best performance to the concatenation of strings. You could also build your own StringBuilder and use logDebug.

So basically, use logDebug if the standard string, vlogDebug if you need variables used in the string.

Thank you

Joe

  • How to store user session?

    Hi all

I'm integrating the functionality of Facebook login in my ATG application.

I am able to see the fb login button in my login page and when I click on this button user is prompted to log in with credentials of fb.

After successfully connecting the user is able to see my app page and then redirect to index my application page.

But the problem is that the user is not connected until the session (as add to cart, cash...).

How can I get this feature?

    Please suggest me!

    Kind regards

    Prateek

If I understand many Prateek, his requirement is as Flipkart in which when a user click on the "Connect with Facebook" button, it will open a popup, and who is responsible for Facebook no request by Prateek. In this case Prateek have no control on this form to invoke its Formhandler.

What I'm suggesting here, is that, once Facebook makes a user authenticated (for example using Facebook "Login for Web" method), it will create a cookie to keep the active facebook session. If it does not create and Prateek uses the login Javascript method, it can create a cookie or set a session variable (call it as facebookLogin) to true.

Create a ServletPipeline component and which occur in steps,

    1. check if the user is authenticated (using Profile.securityStatus)

    2. If the user is authenticated through the next servlet

    3. If the user is not authenticated, find the cookie or session variable. If you find appropriate as facebook etc user id information, put your logic to check if this user already exists or continues a profile and make the authenticated user by calling ProfileService.loginUser and triggers a connection event.

This will keep an ATG logged in logged in as normal ATG connection scenario until the user explicitly disconnecting the ATG app.

    See you soon

  • Advice on best practices for managing analysis listener logs and logs of the list

    Hi friends,

I just started a job as a dba CARS for some big 24 * 7 systems administrator, I've never worked with RAC and clusterware.

    2 space issues

    (1) very large listener_scan2.log in the folder /u01/11.2.0/grid/log/diag/tnslsnr/ < servername >/listener_scan2/trace
    (2) bunch of files log_nnn.xml /u01/11.2.0/grid/log/diag/tnslsnr/ < servername >/listener_scan2/alert folder (4 GB out of stock)

Welcome advice on how best to manage these short-term (i.e. remove manually) and recommended practice and the safest way (adri maybe not sure how it works with listeners to scan)

Welcome advice and commands that could be used in these cleaning and a robust mechanism in place for the management of the log file in RAC and CLusterware systems safely.

Finally should I check the log files in /u01/11.2.0/grid/log/diag/tnslsnr/ < servername >/listener_scan2/alert regulalrly?
My experience with newspapers in the listener, is that they are only considered when there are major problems of connectivity and overall are ignored.

    Thanks for your help,
    Cheers, Rob

Have you had problems in need for the purpose of investigation? If this is not the case, just remove them. Are the logs required for some sort of verification process? If so, gzip to a place where you can use your operating system from tape backup strategies to preserve their n-days. Once you delete a file active, he must recreate the file and continue without interruption.

Try to rebuild your Spotlight database

Rebuild the index on your Mac - Apple Support Spotlight

Then download and run EtreCheck, created by one of his own assistants here in CSA. It is a diagnostic tool that is very useful for us to find problems. It will also give us additional specifications on your Mac. After his execution after the logfile here. It will never contain any personal information.

  • Of a complete log of Information can I find myself with several graphs of selected information

I received a great response here before, here's something that I'm not sure is possible... but maybe you know.

    Current version of numbers (3.6.1)

So, I create a log of the different courses.  Here is a simplified version of what I do:

The idea is so that I will have separate sheets for each of the classes, where I will have the analysis of numbers.  For example:

What I would like to have on this page is a graph being each class, day by day, showing the presence so that I can follow increases or decreases trends, from the newspaper on the first sheet.

I thought I'd try to find a way to have a referenced version (Alias) of the main newspaper on this sheet, which I can then do a filter before you apply a graphic, or perhaps a function which will only list info in a new table which matches certain information (such as the title of "Workshop").

I can be looking for a function that does not exist, but if there is anywhere I could get a clear answer on this subject, I figure that it would be here.  Thanks for any advice you can give.

Numbers (and other spreadsheets) are good to extract summaries of data and plot summary.  Here's a way, using SUMIFS.

The formula in B2, filled to the bottom of the column:

    = SUMIFS(log::E,log::$B,$a2,log::$C,$A$1)

The formula in C2, filled to the bottom of the column:

    = IFERROR (SUMIFS(log::F,log::$B,$a2,log::$C,$A$1) "/ B2," "")

The SIERREUR function tells number of leave the empty cell if there is an error because attendance is 0.

The graph is 2D 2 axes in the case where you want to do something similar.

Once you have the summary table and table of work, then you can 'clone' them by copy - paste other sheets and put another name of the workshop in cell A1.

  • I need help with an installation failure to interpret and troubleshoot a Setup log.

Background: A few years ago, many editors of cinema used Final Cut Pro 6 (also contained in Final Cut Studio 2) for their editing projects.  Shared Apple Final Cut X uses a different format that is not compatible with FCP6.  Sometimes, these editors are called to work on a few historical projects that have been published in FCP6 and need this version to run now.

Starting with OS X Lion, FCP6 would install not in Lion and thereafter.

According research by Jeremy Johnston as noted on his blog, he discovered that Apple has inserted a file in the folder CoreServices in the Library folder of the system folder that causes versions the version Final Cut Pro X (and other older Apple programs in the same situation) do not settle.  He suggested changes to this file that would seek to prevent interfering with the installation of FCP6 in Lion, many users of final cut PRO 6 were successful in their efforts to install in Lion and work with it.

Later in a discussion update on installing FCP6 in Mavericks, HawaiianHippie determined that the simplest way to perform the installation of FCP6 was simply copy this file and remove it from the system folder, install FCP6 and then restore the copied file:

    https://discussions.Apple.com/message/26309669#26309669

I used this method with success to install FCS2 in Yosemite:

However, in my attempts to install FCS2 in El Capitan, it fails in the last 5% to install the first DVD:

First of all, I need advice on how to display an extremely large Setup log in this thread (on MacRumors, it is a method to insert a 'code' in a small box that can be the object of a scrollbar if necessary to read all along).  I am unable to find such a method to post here.

Then once approved, I need help to determine which component is causing the installation to fail and perhaps this element can be omitted from the installation:

If this element is not required, then maybe FCP6 can be installed successfully without it.  And if that omitted element is necessary, perhaps a manual method to install it can be determined by pacifists.

It is my goal to help those who need to install and use FCP6 on their new Macs running El Capitan.

Here is the post on MacRumors with pre-installed Setup log:

The thing is that I have no problem running any software I can load plugins (component) I get warnings from the console on. Do I need to worry about this.

I have a journal to be I can post if necessary. Thanks a lot for any advice.

It's probably a third incompatible plug-ins. try to remove it. Please DO NOT publish a newspaper EtreCheck unless someone asks. You may be able to load plug-ins, but they can still be incompatible, therefore, errors of the Console. Some hardware/software you use, you should quit and detach. Then, uninstall the software responsible for plug-ins. If you do not have a program to uninstall for them:

Software to uninstall the program: the basics

Most OS X applications are completely independent "packages" that can be uninstalled by simply dragging the application to the trash.  Applications can create preferences files that are stored in the folder/Home/Library/Preferences /.  Although they do nothing once you remove the associated application, they take up little space.  If you want you can find them in the location above and delete them, too.

Some applications may install an uninstall program that can be used to remove the application.  In some cases, the uninstall program may be part of the installation of the application program and is called by clicking on a custom button that will appear during the installation process.

Some applications can install components in the Home/Library/Application Support / folder.  You can also check here to check if the application has created a folder.  You can also delete the folder that is located in the application Support folder.  Once again, they do nothing but take up disk space, once the application is trashed.

Some applications may install a startupitem, or Item Log In.  StartupItems are usually installed in the folder/Library/StartupItems/and less often in the folder/Home/Library/StartupItems /.  Journal items are defined in the preferences accounts.  Open system preferences, click accounts, and then click the login items tab.  Locate the item in the list for the application you want to remove and click on the "-" button to remove from the list.

Some software uses demons start or agents which are a new feature of the operating system.  Look for them in/library/LaunchAgents/Library/LaunchDaemons/or in/Home/Library/LaunchAgents /.

If an application installs all the other files that the best way to find them is to search for Finder using the name of the application or the name of developer as a search term.  Unfortunately, Spotlight look in certain default folders.  You can change the behavior of Spotlight or use a third-party, EasyFindsearch utility, instead.

Some applications install a reception in the folder/library/receipts /.  Usually with the same name as the program or the developer.  The element typically has an extension ".pkg".  Do not forget that you also remove this element because some programs use to determine if it is already installed.

There are a lot of utilities that can uninstall applications.  Here is a selection:

    1. AppZapper

    2. AppDelete

    3. PLC

    4. Hazel

    5. AppCleaner

    6. CleanApp

    7. iTrash

    > User name and password have been set when the laptop was first pulled up and it was closed and restarted several times in a satisfactory manner
    It's strange.
As far as I know that Windows Vista was preinstalled on a new laptop but the user account and a password shouldn't be standing!

Have you tried Notepad recovery using the HDD recovery procedure?
    Check it;
Turn on the laptop and immediately press the F8 key.
A start menu should appear, then you should choose the first option called fix my computer.
Finally a new window should open, and you should choose Toshiba recovery.

    Please check this box.

  • How can I check if someone has logged on to my computer in the apartment that I share with other 4...

.. .is a preserved journal of last time computer was turned on and connected?

    Hi Tyrone,

While you should follow the advice of ahaap, maybe this could help in the meantime:

Go to Control Panel / administrative tools / observer of events and double click to open it.

On the left, expand Event Viewer Local (if not already done), and then expand Windows logs and then click Security to view the security event.  They should be sorted by date.  When the computer starts, there are usually plenty of events that occur.  Search Login task category (there may be also a large number of them, some who have succeeded and some failed and some for the users of the system and others for regular users) and you should be able to see then not only the last time that a connection has occurred, but exactly what the user connected (although you may need to go through a few entries to find the information you want).

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • The registry cannot load the hive (file): \systemroot\system32\conig\software or its log or replacing. It is damaged, missing, or not accessible in writing.

My laptop does not start all of a sudden upward - it crosses the safe mode screen, acts as if it is loading windows (display the windows screen) then becomes to empty, followed by a very quick flash of the message on a blue screen: "the registry cannot load the hive (file): \systemroot\system32\config\software or its log or replacing."  It is damaged, missing, or not accessible in writing. "Then, he repeats the cycle.

I looked towards the top of the error on the Microsoft Knowledge base, and the hotfix request using the recovery disk, I.  I wonder how I can get the interactive help on laptop computer file so that I can run so that it fixes the problem... (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307545).

Advice, that someone could give me so that I can at least get started again windows go down all the important data before reinstalling Windows would be much appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hey Chris,

Thank you for visiting the Windows Xp forum

I was wondering if you run a retail or OEM of Windows version. If you are using an OEM version of windows, you will need to use the recovery options you have from the manufacturer of your computer. If you run a commercial version, feel free to follow the article in the knowledge base you have found.

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/307545 how to recover a corrupted registry

I was also wondering if you have another computer to work? If so and you feel comfortable or know someone who can remove the hard drive from the computer and connect it to another computer. You can view the disk hard kit to join. Once the hard drive is connected, you can go in my computer and copy all the files to another hard disk.

  • How to log in as user Admin original?

    Hello.

I have a PC in my office gave me running Windows XP Professional.  I gave it to my children, but they tired to hit CTRL-ALT-DEL and typing a password just to get on the desktop.  Then I started to tinker with it.

I looked at USERS under control PANEL and found some users - all associated with the office network.  So I deleted everything except the Admin a (let's call it ADMIN) and created a new user (let's call it the NEW ADMIN), complete with admin rights.  I noticed, however, that adjustment under USERS Windows were very NT-like Digg - no frills.

I also checked the ability not to do the CTRL-ALT-DELETE thing.  After booting, I got the window to type a password.  The default user name is always ADMIN and I could only connect using ADMIN and the corresponding password - typing in NEW ADMIN has failed.

After having loaded up, I noticed that the Office was different, so I was not really connected with the old office/parameters associated with the original account.  I looked back to the control PANEL and USERS, and now he's got a XP-feel to it--a different, bright interface.

I now turn to the USERS, and it lists only the NEW ADMIN and GUEST.  It says NEW ADMIN is an administrator on the computer, but again, I didn't connect until ADMINISTRATOR NEW - I logged in as an ADMINISTRATOR before the desktop loaded up.

    So my questions are:

    1. can I start this machine up without asking for a password?  This is used by my children, so I'm not worried about security.

    2. How can I get my old office back?  I see the folders associated with ADMIN when I look in C:\Documents and Settings\ADMIN, but some programs do not (like Google Chrome, which is unique when I assume that it has been installed by ADMIN).

    3. I just need a main administrator account.  How can I get rid of NEW ADMIN or ADMIN, and whatever that is?

Thank you.  I really appreciate any help you can provide.

    3. I just need a main administrator account.  How can I get rid of NEW ADMIN or ADMIN, and whatever that is?

The computer must have at least one administrator. The original admin account, to which you refer is the default Administrator account. The accounts of users that you deleted had restricted accounts, which means that the default Administrator account has remained visible. Once you have created a new account with administrative privileges by default admin account then become hidden and accessible only via the mode without failure or by pressing CTRL + Alt + Delete twice to start (this method applies only to the Xp Pro).

    1. You will need access accounts of users again and click on "Change the way users log on and out". Place a check mark in the check box use the Welcome screen. Then click on the "new Admin account and choose to remove passwords you may have created by clicking on 'remove my password'.» It is however not advised.
    2. You cannot return to office by default admin account except as prescribed above. It is strongly recommended that you leave only default admin account. Simply reinstall Google Chrome and any other software that you want or need on the account Admin new and all the other accounts that you create. It won't be necessary for all of the software to install. Some software installs specific user and installation as being available to all user accounts.
    3. You cannot delete the default Administrator account. My advice to you is to let the Admin account back up and create new accounts for your children. Preferably, an account each with limited privileges. I also recommend that you let the new Admin password protected to prevent unwanted or even dangerous changes to the computer.
    4. If you did not create a password for the new Admin then just click ok at the prompt without entering any data in the password field.

  • Can someone tell me what I should type in the screen command prompt to access the setupapi log so I can delete the files that stops me reinstall windows xp?

My dell PC crashed then I followed the news online & tried to reinstall windows XP from my original CD. However, the keyboard & mouse stop working when the installation gets to the 33 minute section which requires me to a box on the screen. I saw tips online who says lets you check the setupapi log & delete the file question (s) that prevents the installation but it required that use you SHIFT & F10 to enter the command prompt screen, but my keyboard is isolated at this time. So I went in the recovery console (I think it's the command prompt)?  but I don't know which of the listed commands to use to perform the advice. I would be very grateful for help.

    Thank you

Repair installs being problematic, I would not waste any more time at this stage. You are ready to perform a clean installation?

  • services.msc logs under "Local System account" instead of "This account" (previous setting for all) on WinXP SP3

Just recently had problems to Windows Update and Windows Installer that were solved by Maurice N.  When you restart the Windows Installer service (again), I noticed that all the services loading of ' run: services.msc' happen under the Local System account. "  Is this a problem?  Found the remarks after a search online, which implies that it is not a good idea.  Previous setting was 'This account' suggestions on the evolution of this return?  I tried to change, but nothing happened.

The Windows Installer Service must be on the Local System account.  I would fix the manual start, since he does not need to be put forward at every reboot and it works day and night to do nothing.  If you set it to manual, it will start when it needs start.

This is true for many Services - as in Help and Support for example.  The 'experts' Support committed by Microsoft engineer will tell you always for this set to automatic, but it the Manual value and you will have more memory and CPU to the things that really matter.

Please provide a link to the Web pages where read you otherwise.

If you want to learn more about the Services of XP, I was looking at the site WWW Viper Black here.  Chances are that you have many Services running, you can do without.

Depending on how much Service tweaking you did on your system and which components you have installed, you should define most of all THE Services to the Local System account.

On my system, sort the list of services by the "Log on As" column, the exceptions referred to in this PROVISION of account/NT would be:

    Customer DNS (automatic)
    Performance logs and alerts (disabled)
    Remote procedure call (RPC) (automatic)
Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Locator (manual)
Windows Media Network Sharing Service (disabled)

You can have more or less depending on what you have installed.  If you are not sure, ask.

P.S. The technician 'expert' advice of technical support to run sfc/scannow has absolutely nothing to do with it.  It's just another one of their wild goose hunting support technician to receive credit for responses with links to KB articles that have nothing to do with your problem and will only waste your time.  You describe not as symptoms suggestive of a corrupt user profile.  It's a real shame.
