Attachments Outlook opens in Excel ThinApp'ed

Hello

I have Office 2010, including Outlook, Word, and Excel is installed on the Base Image. I also have a ThinApp version'ed to Excel 2010, which has specific application configuration settings.

When opening upward of attachment Excel in Outlook, it opens in the ThinApp version'ed to Excel, but I need to open it in the version of the Excel Base Image. What should I do?

Thank you

This is due to the fact that the Excel 2010 ThinApp replaces the native Excel file association. Please, try the following steps:

1 cancel the registration/uninstall Excel 2010 ThinApp

2 disable the "FileTypes =" in the package.ini under item line entry of Excel 2010 by adding the semicolon (;) to the beginning

3. rebuild the package by running the build.bat file

4. remove any tray in existing sand before testing the new package

  • How to edit a PDF file as attachments Outlook 2013 without having to ' Save as ' and reattach it?

My company has recently upgraded to Acrobat Reader DC. Before, users could not open attachments Outlook 2013 and add stamps to PDFs, and when they record the document, it would automatically replace the current attachment. Now, the 'Save' option is greyed out and they are forced to "save under" and deliver the edited document. Is this a setting, or if this feature has been removed?

    Hi tamil47296022,

In order to make changes in attachments, you will first need to download the attachment, open it in the corresponding application to the changes & then attach it again to the email.

  • Opening Word, Excel and PowerPoint files in LabVIEW with digital signature of files

    Hello

I try to open Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents in LabVIEW (or were then converted into a format that can be opened). After the opening, to fill out checklists can insert a digital signature preset (possibly through an authorisation of user name and password) and save the file while preventing further edit or print a pdf of this report.

I have a good experience with LabVIEW, but not in this kind of a system.

I appreciate if someone can point me in the direction to start.

    Thank you very much

    Al

Regarding (1): there is no ActiveX control to view the Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint files. If you want to display these on a front of LabVIEW, so the simplest solution is to use a web browser on the front panel control. This will allow you to provide the path to the file in the URL of the web browser control navigation and the file will be embedded in the browser control. It would be no different than the consultation within Internet Explorer.

Regarding (2): assuming that you view the document on the front panel, this looks like the basis of LabVIEW programming, so I don't know what you're asking for here, or that you are having problems with.

With regard to the (3): I must admit that I'm not quite clear on what will be signed. It also seems that the signing and printing of PDF are two distinct objectives here.

  • Creating a batch file. How to open an Excel doc that is located on a network share?

batch file that can access a file on a network share

I'm making a batch file that starts several EXE as an excel spreadsheet that is located on a network share.

exe start perfectly, however when I try to open the excel document, because it is on a network share, windows tells me that the CMD does not support UNC paths use... y at - there a way around this?

    the command I used was:

    CD "\\server\folder.
    Start "excel document.

The way around this is to map the network folder to a disc and use the drive letter.
In your case, it would look like this:

    NET use M: \\server\folder / persistent: no
    M:
    Start "excel document.

When you are finished, you can unmount the drive:

    C:
    NET use M:/delete

  • Cannot open an Excel macros.

    Original title: opening Excel Doc.

I try to open an Excel doc. I offer myself to enable or disable macros. I tried both and for each, I have been informed that there are errors in some modules, and when you ask the system to continue opening the document, it finally very briefly (1 second) opens and then closes. Others seem to be able to open the doc. I use AVG Internet Security.

Ask in the forum Excel for your version of Excel (select the drop-down 'Version of Office' version).

Include your version of Office in the body of your question, but also the full text of the error messages without paraphrase.

Probably, you should also include the version of Windows you have, including the service pack (right click on desktop and select properties for info).

Windows Installer tries to configure excel on your system.

    Click Start-> settings-> Control Panel-> Add/Remove Programs-> Microsoft office-> change-> add/remove component-> select excel, then click on run from my computer.

Once its finished installation-> start excel from start-> programs-> excel (or in Microsoft office-> Excel).

  • Windows Mail wants to open all attachments with Word rather than Word, Adobe, pad etc. How can I get the attachments to open properly?

Windows Mail wants to open all attachments with Word rather than Word, Adobe, pad etc. How can I get the attachments to open properly?

    Hello

    1. Click the "Start" menu in the bottom left of Windows. Then select "Default programs".
    2. Click on the option "Associate any type of file or Protocol with a program."
    3. Select the file type you want to change the types of files listed. For example, if you want the text (.txt) file to open it in Microsoft Word instead of WordPad, choose '.txt '.
    4. Click on the "Change Program" button in the upper right window.
    5. In the list of programs, select "Microsoft Word". If Microsoft Word does not appear in the list, click on the button 'Browse' in the bottom right and choose Microsoft Word on your computer.
    6. Click on the button 'OK' and then 'close '. The next time you open this type of file, it will open it in Microsoft Word. Repeat this procedure for any other type of file you want to open in Word.

  • Attachments not opening in the appropriate program

I can't get my Yahoo email attachments to open properly with Windows Vista. I received an attachment that I downloaded on my computer and I had to hit 'Open with' and open it with Notepad for me to see. After that, all my eamil accessories open with laptop no matter if they wee images or text. I right click on some other attachments downloaded to try to open them with their corresponding program and now nothing opens at all. Even the files that need to open up in the laptop just came as symbols, not the words. Any ideas on how to reset these default values?

    Thank you

    Hello rsdan84,

Go to start, programs by default.
You can then go to set the default program and access.
Along the top of the page, you will see the name, the Description and current by default.
If you click Default Current, there will be applications in alphabetical order.
Highlight Notepad and you will see what programs the notebook opens by default.
. CSS, .dic, .exc, .inf, .ini, .log and .txt to name a few.

If you want to change the program that opens this particular extension, click on change program button and you can browse to select the program you choose.
