Audio connection Quandry

I have the following equipment:

Sony KDL-60R550A 3D TV

Sony STR-DG510 receiver

Reader of DVD Blu-Ray/3D Panasonic DMP-BDT220

Dish Network VIP722K DVR

I was told by the Dish Network Installer (a plus gent who seemed to know)

his stuff) that I should drive the DVR and DVD audio directly to output

the receiver via an optical digital cable. Now that I can stream movies on the Internet

It makes sense to route the Audio of TV as to the receiver. BUT, I only have two

Digital optical inputs.

Now, another classmate, who owns a Home Theater Installation company tells me I

should route all Audio to the TV through HDMI cables and use the digital optical

Output of the TV to power the receiver.

Since these two suggestions are in conflict with each other, I thought I'd ask in the

Forum for advice.

Thanks for your help.

  • the fall of facetime iPhone audio connections

    I use FaceTime audio every day when I go out on a walk. I have a plan of reliable data and at home, I have good WiFi. With a particular friend, our audio FaceTime calls are constantly being disconnected. Sometimes if you wait a minute, we get this back, and other times it takes remember. We have both an iPhone 6s more though, when I was at home WiFi, I went to my old iPhone 5 s to see if that makes a difference, and it didn't. I can be walking home with WiFi or with data and we dropped calls constantly lately. For the most part, it is usually at home with WiFi but I think it happened with his data being also. When I talk to other people using audio FaceTime, it usually works very well even if I knew some dropped with other calls, but not as often as with the only friend. I don't understand.

    Hi Linda,

    Thanks for stopping by the communities Support from Apple! Looks like you have some connection problems with a friend more precisely using the function of audio calls from FaceTime on your 6s iPhone more. I'll be happy to provide additional troubleshooting options.

    First, we're going to have, you and your friend (s) confirm that you have given cell phones enabled for the FaceTime app. To do this, go to settings > phone. Scroll down and find the FaceTime app in the section "use Cellular Data For". Make sure that the toggle switch is green.

    From there, it would be beneficial reset the network settings on your device. This will not affect your personal data, but you have to reenter your passwords and Wi - Fi networks. To achieve this step, go to settings > general > reset > reset network settings. Once your device restarts, test FaceTime audio over Wi - Fi and cell to see if the problem persists.

    As a last resort, you can create a backup of your iPhone and restore it back to factory settings. Who should install a new copy of iOS on your phone and help isolate potential software problems that could interfere with the audio FaceTime calls. Once you have tested your phone, you can restore the backup that you created. The following article contains information on how to accomplish the restoration:

    Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod to factory settings

    Have a fantastic day!

  • External audio connects not (stroke of lightning/airplay/bluetooth)

    Hello

    I'm on OS / X El Capitan 10.11.4 on MacBook Pro (retina, 15 inch, mid-2014).

    For some time - I can not connect my audio outputs / interfaces audio external

    -When I change my sound output using alt + volume icon on the top menu, nothing happens (when I return to this menu remains in 'internal speakers' output)

    -When I select in 'sound' in system preferences, it is selected, but the sound is still coming from internal speakers.

    These devices include

    -Airplay to ATV2 - it is worth noting this is see "airplay: off" in the menu airplay

    -Audio Bluetooth - pairs and connects fine, but the same thing happens for audio

    -Focusrite clarett 4pre audio interface of love at first sight. I have installed the required software & drivers before you connect the appliance. When I turn on the camera - I don't like sound output in the sound menu, even if it is listed under the section 'Information system' love at first sight.

    -I don't have an interface audio firewire (steinberg MR816), that was installed before the problem occurs, and this device connects very well.

    I have already tried:

    -Removing audio and bluetooth & associated airplay .perf files in / library and ~ / library, then by restarting

    -Remove all applications from the login items "Users & groups" to improve the connectivity of the airplay.

    -Reset the PRAM

    -Creating a new user with the ' parameters '.

    -I could have messed up with other parameters I remember currently.

    I couldn't find anywhere to tell me how to reset the audio settings of the mac completely, and I really want to avoid the formatting and reinstallation of mac.

    I would be extremely useful for any help.

    Thank you

    Later to perform a system recovery to solve the above problems

  • Support: You are looking for an audio connection PC (TV: 32W2333)

    Hello

    I just bought a 32W2333 LED TV and I tried to connect my computer.

    I need to do with a monitor cable PC and I bougth the TV because I saw there a slot of PC connection (RGB/PC connector at the rear of the TV).

    But I was unable to find the sound input for this connection slot. The TV can receive the signal from the PC and view the screen of the PC at the same time?

    Thank you.

    Javier.

    I also recommend the HDMI connection since the port/cable HDMI provides audio and video signals, allowing you to enjoy audio and music through the TV speakers.

  • No audio connection Qosmio F30 to LCD TV

    Hi all - of course, it's a very basic question, but I am a novice. I'm trying to connect a F30 to a LCD TV. I can connect and get no video but I have no chance with audio. What is the best option to connect the F30 to a LCD TV to the audio and video? It is a HDMI cable? F30 does it take?

    Sorry, stupid questions, but I have no idea.

    Thank you.

    Hello

    You can connect to the laptop to the TV using the cable HDMI ONLY if both devices would be supported by the HDMI port.

    Can I ask you how you connect the Qosmio F30 TV? What cable did you use?

  • I need a part number for a dv9000 series audio connection motherboard Intel... Please.

    I have a HP dv9723cl that I finally gave up on due to some problems with the motherboard that no one seemed to have ideas for. Well, I bought a replacement motherboard, but accidentally bought a motherboard Intel instead of card mother AMD that was originally there. Now I'm trying to put it in, and all connects together fine (after buying another CPU and CPU sinks) with the exception of the little girl that the ir receiver and the audio jacks are mounted on. The end of the cable that connects to the motherboard is too broad for this replacement motherboard.

    Someone at - it a part number for the correct audio Panel? I bought 2 different audio cards with 2 different numbers just in the hope that one of them has had reason, but none were correct. Both had the same wide end to the connection on the motherboard.

    Please, someone, anyone, tell me if you know the right part number, or where to find it. Or maybe even a link eBay at good advice if you feel generous.

    The following were found from the parts for a DV9650US page .

    It seems that the audio Platinum for this device, which uses the same motherboard you purchased based on the number of the piece, is 449763-001.

    I can't guarantee that the audio card, that this unit has will align with your current deal.

    What I would recommend enter the part number of motherboard on the HP PartSurfer link above and re-cutting references printed circuit card (Interface) until you find the one that matches.

    A quick comparison returned this page for your laptop current.  However, there were more different hardware configurations a dozen for the model you listed.

    To get anything specific, I'll need the product number of the unit.  The product of the listed number is gp348av.

    NOTE: Provide NOT the serial number.

  • Reference Dell 2720 and 5.1 audio connections

    It seems that 5.1 audio can be connected via the HDMI port. I have a 5.1 system that can take the (optical) input SPDIF or 3 RCA connectors. Is there a form any card I can buy to connect the speakers? I am in Ireland and the only ones I can find are on OUR part or UK sellers provided here. I was wondering if there is a more standard option to connect HDMI SPDIF or RCS. Thank you.

    Well I found an answer. I bought a Cablesson HDelity HDMI Audio Extractor (CRA) who takes an HDMI output and it divides. So I plugged the HDMI from PC output to the input of the audio extractor. And then took the optical output toslink SPDIF audio and trendy extractor in my former speaker system and it works a treat. So I didn't need new speakers, just the junction box.

    It has also a SPDIF non-optiques a normal and a stereo output. All in all a little gadget very convenient, although there are some reviews on Amazon, saying it stopped working after a year or two. Others seemed perfectly happy with it. Does the job for me at the moment in any case.

  • Static severe Audio connection endpoint Polycom HDX series

    Greetings,

    I'm looking for ideas on the question.

    We experience severe (and immedate, connecting) levels of static audio when Cisco (SX20 or C40) endpoint connects to a Polycom HDX endpoint.  Cisco endpoints are running TC7.2.1.  This doesn't happen when you connect between Cisco endpoint to an endpoint of Polycom VSX.

    If HDX endpoint connects to a Cisco endpoint, in addition, there is no problem.  This only happens during a call from Cisco to HDX endpoint.  All connections are made via H.323 SIP not.

    All units are stored on the same device of control VCS.  VCS rolls X8.5.1 and shows no errors or questions.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Use TC7.2.1 and Polycom with software version 3.0.5 and call using H323 with active encryption.

    Workaround
    Disable encryption, call using SIP, downgrade from TC7.1 or earlier version of Polycom or wait for TC7.3.0 and xConfiguration H323 1 encryption KeySize value profile: Max1024bit

    We have disabled encryption until TC7.3.3 is released.

  • Adobe Captivate Advanced - 8 Actions trigger an event after that audio connected to a button has finished playing

    Hi all.  I use Adobe Captivate 8 on Windows.  I have a slide that has 2 buttons.  The buttons are placed in advanced actions, when you click on it to play an audio file and display the text, and then set the variable key 1, clicked.  The button are similar functions and can be clicked in any order.  When you click on the two buttons, I need to read an audio of conclusion.

    My problem is that once the second button is clicked, select what action starts immediately, as the two buttons were clicked and the condition is now filled.  I need to finish reading the audio second-clicked the button before she turns to the next action, and no matter what I try it doesn't work!  Major frustration!  If you need me to post any screen shots, please let me know.  Thanks in advance,

    Mike

    You must use conditional Actions, not simple actions.  With a Standard action or conditional button does not automatically frees the timeline AFTER it has been clicked.

    You must also configure the tracking variables so that your conditional Action will be able to determine whether or not the two buttons were clicked and that's why the audio file should be placed accordingly.

    Take a look at this tutorial on creating dynamic menu slides:

    Create a dynamic Menu slide in Adobe Captivate. Infosemantics Pty Ltd

    The basics are really quite the same.

  • .Swf using external Audio connection

    Because flash loop external mps file correctly, there is always a pause in the loop. The work around is to load the AIFF or WAV file in the .fla and let the Flash to compress the audio file, then the loop works without a break. The problem is that when I have many loops of music, that it takes a long time to publish and test, if in AS 2 I would publish .swfs compressed the raw audio file, which gave the audio file, a link. Then I would load the .swf in the main .swf and access the binding file responsible for .swfs. The code looked like this:

    _root.createEmptyMovieClip ("soundsMC", _root.soundsMC.getNextHighestDepth ());
    instructionsContainer = _root.soundsMC.createEmptyMovieClip ("instructionsContainer", _root.soundsMC.getNextHighestDepth ());
    instructions = new Sound (instructionsContainer);
    instructions.attachSound ('theme instructions');

    It worked perfectly. But this method does not work in AS3.

    That's what I tried AS3:

    by moving just code I got it to work. I changed this line:
    var FishHoleOldMusicMCClass: Class = libMedia.loaderInfo.applicationDomain.getDefinition ("FishHoleOldMusicMC") in the classroom;

    To do this:
    var FishHoleOldMusicMCClass: Class = loader.contentLoaderInfo.applicationDomain.getDefinition ("FishHoleOldMusicMC") in the classroom;

    This is the code:

    public function initView (): void {}
    loader = new Loader ();
    targetStage.addChild (loader);
    loader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener (Event.INIT, loarderLoaded);
    Loader.Load (new URLRequest("sound/fishhole_old.swf"));
    }
    //
    private function loarderLoaded (event: Event): void {}
    trace ("loarderLoaded");
    loader.contentLoaderInfo.removeEventListener (Event.INIT, loarderLoaded);
    var FishHoleOldMusicMCClass: Class = loader.contentLoaderInfo.applicationDomain.getDefinition ("FishHoleOldMusicMC") in the classroom;
    music of var = new FishHoleOldMusicMCClass();
    Music.Play (0, 1000);
    }

    Hello:

    If you normally can get her off the monitors with a HDMI cable, on your PC, you must go to control panel > hardware and sound > Sound (click on manage Audio devices) and select the exit HDMI AMD.

    Sound comes from the AMD graphics card that has your PC via the HDMI cable.

    The Realtek HD audio feeds a separate set of speakers, or you can plug the clear green audio cable to both the port on the back of the PC audio output and audio in port on your monitor (if it exists), stage monitors that would work a lot too.
