  Try this:

  Control Panel - device - sounds Manager - note manufacturer device name and info on the graduating model.
  Double click and get the date and version of the driver (if 06 are dates, you use the default windows driver). Now
  Click the DRIVER UPDATE (this can not find anything because MS is far behind the certification of drivers). Now LAW
  CLICK above and UNINSTALL - REBOOT - it will refresh the driver stack.

  Practically, we bought 2 years ago CS6 and we used Adobe Application Manager Enterprise to create a package that includes the key and sign-in and unfolds in silence. I even purge the SYNCHRONIZED data and who has done nothing to solve this problem. I deleted the old bookmarks for Netscape 6/7 and the problem persists. Removal of duplicates is worse. Maintenance of places add worked only 2 consecutive days; Therefore, it is more effective. I have to restore the backup that I did whenever I use Fire Fox after a cold start.

  Have you checked all the backups JSON (10) in the folder bookmarkbackups to see if there are still no corrupted bookmarks?

  If corruption always occurs after the computer starts and some security software is the most likely cause for this.

  You have not answered what firewall and antivirus that you use.

  Windows Vista Home Edition on a HP desktop computer. I try to stop, and the rest of the computer with logging off the screen with the little circle thingy goes round and round. It doesn't go away until I have press and hold the power button for a while then turns off the computer. It will not stop by itself. When I restart it once I get it shut down with the power button, it gives me a screen saying windows was not shut down properly and gives me different choices on how to restart it. I choose start windows normally and windows starts fine, but will not be closed. It gets stuck at logging off the screen. What the heck is wrong?

  I did the boot, but that did not help either. I scanned with Adaware SE, but he found nothing. The computer would leave answering programs as long it has been used. I tried to install the updates for Vista which took forever because he would leave just to install the updates. Finally, after many trials and lots of swearing, I got all the updates that are installed and the HP updates. I installed AVG and it had to scan the computer. He found nothing. It seems that updates could have solved the problem.
