  • Audio drivers for compaq presario V2000

    Hello

    I have format my computer laptop and installed Windows XP Pro. But I coudnt find drivers for Audio. Plese help me to find the audio drivers.

    Product ID: EC181UA #ABL

    Compaq Presario V2000

    Chanaka

    Hello:

    The ID's to confirm that your laptop is the Conexant AC-Link audio chip.

    OK... Here's what I did. A little detective work...

    I like to use the free 7-zip file utility to extract the components of the exe files.

    When I extracted the driver who is seconded by HP for your model files that I've linked you here above, is the ID of the hardware for the Conexant Audio chip driver supports.

    [Conexant]
    % * WDM_AMCAUD. DeviceDesc%=WDM_AMCAUD,PCI\VEN_8086 & DEV_266E

    As you can see, this driver supports a different audio chip Conexant as your laptop, because the hardware ID've posted you is PCI\VEN_1002 & DEV_4370

    So, I googled the ID of material and found several drivers having the main ID PCI\VEN_1002 & DEV_4370, but they had another & SUBSYS number.

    I had to download and extract the files to a few of them until I finally found one that matches the hardware ID exactly as yours which is PCI\VEN_1002 & DEV_4370 & SUBSYS_3091103C

    Please see if it works...

  • HP compaq dc7700 minitowers: Microcode error: no evolutionary device drivers/no pass

    I upgraded my HP compaq dc7700 Intel e6400 CPU (2.13 ghz, 1066 MHz front side bus) to the intel e6700 (3.2 ghz, 1066 MHz front side bus) and did a clean install of Windows 10 pro at first boot. I noticed that it gave an error, namely 1801: firmware does not support this CPU or something. I pressed f1 to continue installing Windows, my plan was to install the firmware update later. After Windows has started, I created a bootable USB to install the firmware of the HP drivers and software section. But when I tried to install the firmware update, it didn't work! I just typed in flashbin.exe, as shown in various posts on this forum. It gave this error: "error!" There is no valid drivers on media or three are no evolutionary device in this system. »
    So I tried som other options at the start of the installation, three was something like: f8 to activate the increased processor, which basically is what I needed. But when trying to install flashbin.exe, he gave the same exact error, although I didn't have any options before I could type. See all: https://www.dropbox.com/s/q4eo8qqp49gohc9/IMG_20160227_153036.jpg?dl=0 (without pressing f8)

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/xw60pryzq30ta4q/IMG_20160227_155457.jpg?DL=0 (with pressing f8, I selected Yes everywhere)

    Do I need additional drivers? GPU, mouse, headset, everything worked without having to download anything extra!

    If you were able to get to a command prompt and had copied the contents of the firmware flash folder on the drive back, so you could get to a command prompt and run flashbin.exe, then it shouldn't matter.

    I helped that another Member of the forum for 3 days to finally get her to work on his dc5700 E7200 (uses the same firmware as the 7700 update).

    Here is the discussion.  The firmware update worked after he reinstalled the original processor.

    I don't know if this procedure works on the Wolfdale E6700.

    It does for all the Wolfdale E7200-E7600.

  • HP compaq dc7700 minitowers: BIOS update exe does not work

    I have the HP compaq dc7700 with mother 0a58h HP. I currently have the installed Intel e6400 CPU, but I have the Intel core 2 quad q9550 carrying around and based on the official list of HP upgrade that must be supported. So I put it (it was on the right track) but the only thing I got was 9 beeps of equal length. So I thought it was just that the BIOS update. I went to the drivers/software section and downloaded the update of the BIOS (from 01.15 to 4.02 or something). So I followed the instructions and extract the file. Then I opende the flash.pw file but it does not open! He repeated to me that I need the 32-bit or 64-bit version. I have 64 bit. I tried both and did not work. I downgraded to Windows 7 and did not work.

    But then, I thought the q9550 CPU uses 95W but the e6400 only 65W, but there should be no problem because he has on some power just do nothing I guess.

    Maybe I need to put it on a USB key?

    Please help me. Thank you

    Hello:

    The Q9550 is not certainly supported in the dc7700.

    The dc7700 won't work any processor with a FSB of 1333 MHz.

    The best you can do in this machine is the E7600, and he needs a 3rd party program until the multiplier.

    I've heard stories that someone installed the Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 (2.66 GHz, 8 MB L2 cache, 1066 MHz FSB)

    Here's the problem with the file you are trying to install.

    This is a BIOS utility, not a BIOS update...

    The drivers have been completely erased from the HP support site.

    HP have a major problem with good number of pilots for hundreds of business PC.

    I don't know how they're going to solve this problem, but they have better.

    It's been weeks that these drivers have disappeared.

    I reported the problem 2 weeks ago and all they told me is that they are aware of the problem.

  • My solution for No Audio - drivers Conexant and Windows 7 x 64

    My son and I have the laptop L2000 comes with 32 bit XP and used the audio Conexant chipset. I had been using a SB Audigy PCMCIA card so I don't know when the Audio is really off. However, he noticed when I upgraded his PC. I went through different forums looking for 64-bit Windows 7 for Conexant audio drivers but nothing helped. Microsoft and Conexant both said that HP should provide the drivers. By the way HP, the Conexant site says that they provide no drivers, although they make the chipsets 'at the request of the OEM." Another post said that HP will not have to provide these drivers for Windows 7. The HP solution for my model and Windows 7 has been the "HP Software Advisor" who was 67 MB and totally unnecessary. It seems that it is a very common problem. In any case, here's what you do:

    First of all, you need 2 files that come quite ironically HP, they are SP35558.exe and SP35558.cva they contain drivers for Vista x 64 Conexant. (Later, I found the 32-bit drivers and the procedure should be very similar, except that the files are SP34789.exe and SP34789.cva). Type the following command in your browser address bar ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/ to half way down you will find the subdirectory with these files. Just right click on them and save it on your desktop.

    Double-click on SP35558.cva and tell Windows to use Notepad to open it. Scroll to halfway down to "[Operating Systems]" and after 'WV64UL = OEM' insert:
    W764HB = OEM
    W764HP = OEM
    W764PR = OEM
    W764UL = OEM

    (For systems 32-bit using W732HB = OEM, etc.).

    I then went up to about 10 lines "[system information]" and added

    SysId3 = 0 x 3091
    SysName3 = HP Pavilion ze2000 series
    SysId4 = 0 x 3096
    SysName4 = Compaq presario M2000 series
    SysId5 = 0 x 3097
    SysName5 = series Compaq Presario M2000
    SysId6 = 0 x 3097
    SysName6 = series HP Special Edition L2000
    SysId7 = 0 x 3093
    SysName7 = series Compaq Presario M2000
    SysId8 = 0 x 3093
    SysName8 = series HP Special Edition L2000

    I got this information from another cva file on my PC to C; / / swsetup, this is the directory where HP updates by default.

    After modding the cva file, I taped C; / swsetup/sp35558 /.

    Then, I run the SP35558.exe file. He failed the first time, I missed a line in my cva file. However, I then manually installed the Conexant drivers as follows and voila I had sound, beautiful crisp clear sound.

    "" In the Device Manager, right click "Multimedia Audio Device" under the heading 'Other' and choose 'update driver' then ' Browse your PC "and"choose from a list. Select "Audio, audio and game controllers", and then Conexant 'drive '. Navigate to C:/swsetup/sp35558/and open "cp6308Ba.inf" (don't forget 64-bit). Now click 'OK' and ignore all the warnings on the incompatibility, WHQL, etc.. Give her lots of time, you might think, you are in a loop, but you're not. Congratulations, you've completed.

    I thought that to recompile my answer and then mark this thread as resolved since it was not a post about a problem, but rather how I solved a very common problem that can be beneficial to others.

    After modding the cva file, I taped C; / swsetup/sp35558 /.

    Then I ran the SP35558.exe file and voila I had sound, beautiful crisp clear sound.

    The use of the CAL file is to streamline the installation of the driver and that's kind of cool if it works. If you can't find it, you don't succeed the first time, or you don't want to not bother with modding anything, don't worry, the installation manual will work for sure.

    Run sp35558.exe to extract all and let write off. Then go to Device Manager and update driver manually as follows:

    In Device Manager, right click "Multimedia Audio Device" under the heading "Other" and choose "update driver" and then "Browse PC" and "choose from a list. Select ' Audio, audio and game controllers', then 'Conexant', then 'drive '.

    I hope this helps.

  • Windows 7 audio driver for compaq evo

    I have a compaq evo d510 sff and I installed windows 7, but I can't install or update the audio drivers, and one on the compaq/hp website does not work on windows 7. Anyone know how to fix this so that the sound is working or where can I find the driver?

    Thanks in advance

    The answer is simple and easy. Just take the following steps:

    1. Download and unpack the Windows XP driver from HP's website (http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=12454&prodSeriesId=316517&prodNameId=97130&swEnvOID=1093&swLang=13&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=hd-17950-2).
    2. Locate Setup.exe. If you kept the default unpacking options, it should be in C:\swsetup\SP27103
    3. Right click on Setup.exe and select Properties
    4. Select the compatibility tab
    5. Check the box for "Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows XP"
    6. Check the box for "Run this program as administrator"
    7. Apply the changes and exit the Properties dialog box
    8. Run the Setup program
    9. Take advantage of your integrated sound card, as it was supposed to be enjoyed.

    Hi cecilrosa,

    I n t have Equium L40 but I'm pretty sure that the audio drivers are working properly. The point is that you need to first install Service Pack 3 before you can install the audio driver.

    So to remove the current sound driver and install Service Pack 3 for Windows XP. After that, you can try reinstalling the audio driver.
