• Kill audio placed in CS5 interactive SWF SWF video tour page

  I am facing a very frustrating problem that I can't find a solution anywhere on the forum.  It seems that similar questions went unaswered that scares me because if I can't find a solution, working hours are likely down the tubes...

  All I want is for the audio track of a video file SWF, I placed in an interactive ID CS5 SWF to stop playing when the page in which it is placed is turned.  I did everything what we would logically do for do this without success, including the fix more logic that would be to add an action to the buttons that turn the page to include: stop the video as well as all the video: Stop, however, nothing that I tried to work.

  Is this a bug with ID CS5?   Of course the final user can manually stop the video before turning the page, but I don't want to force him to do this, especially because if they simply turn the page without stopping the video, it seems that there is no way to stop the audio at all without either wait until the stop or refresh the whole swf document.

  I have to write a separate Flash script to kill the audio portion of the video swf?   I'm not have Flash skills to do this, unfortunately, but could probably figure out if need be.  If there are other simple solutions, I would be VERY grateful for the help.

  Yes, that s a bug. As far as I know only one way to avoid that is to... as you assumed it... write an excerpt of small killer audio in Flash actionscript, export it to SWF and place this SWF to the next and previous page to your SWF video. Idea is that when the user enters the next or previous page, plays and stopAllSounds SWF action is triggered.

• What's new in Premiere Pro CS5. Questions: markers, shortcuts, key frames and more!

  Hi everyone, this is my first post. I'm an editor of Argentina, with background in Avid media Composer, but I go for first pro cs5 for a new job. I was very surprised and happy with it. But there are still one or two things that I have quite right yet.

  So, a few questions from newbie... you'll save me a lot of time if you can answer some of them.

  Markers
  1. can I use markers of different colors?
  1. is there a way to select more than one marker and remove them at the same time? Of course, with all of them, delete only links I need.
  1 c. How can I configure a shortcut for go to next\previous brand of element in the timeline? In shortcuts, I go to the marker > Go go Clip marker > and select a shortcut, but in the timeline, it's going anywhere I've done this work for brands of sequence in the timeline panel and this shortcut also knit to marker on an element next\previous in the source monitor.
  1 d. How to extend a marker in the timeline? I know I can set the duration of the marker in the pop up menu... but if there is a way to do it directly in the timeline?

  2. a simple. After that I used the razor on a clip tool... How can I join the clip again?

  3. how the Selection tool track, select all the items to the LEFT, instead of all the clips right? In avid, there is a Select right command, which works like the track picker, but there is also a command select left, which does the same, but left.

  4. another single. Can I put it horizontally? It fits perfectly in the toolbar then.

  Tab sizes
  5. the size of the tabs can be changed? I have 'Media browser', 'Info', 'History', 'Effects' all platform... but the size of the Panel is such that I never see the four legs at the same time, I have to drag the small bar at the top. Can I have the tabs be smaller so that I could see the four of them... as if they said «Media...» 'inf..' 'hist'... "' eff '... instead of wasting space with names long tab?

  6. is there a shortcut to add - we? Where is it in the shortcut configuration? I know that I can put them with the pen tool, I need a shortcut to replace the "Add/Remove keyframe" button on the tracks in the timeline.
  6B. How can I align the time indicator to a shortcut in the timeline?
  6 c. can I lazo several keyframes?

  7. in preferences > Audio > Play Audio while scrubbing I choose walking and stop. How can I define a shortcut for this?

  2. no direct way to do it. Remove either the front or after editing and then extend the clip to fill this gap. Awkward, Yes.

  3. No, the track Selection tool doesn't work right.

  5. the tab size matches the title of the tab; no way to change this.

  6. no keyframe shortcut.

  6B. This does not work in the timeline panel, but in the effect controls panel, you can hold the SHIFT key to snap the CTI by dragging.

  c. 6, you can catch several keyframes in the effects with the standard selection tool Panel, or you can use the pen in the timeline panel. Just be sure to start within the graphic representation of the clip.

  7. No, this is only a preference program.

• Mixing of the audio channels in CS5

  I have some video clips in which each of the two subjects was separately mic'd the microphones were fed to the camera via a splitter, audio to put a topic on the left channel and the other on the right. both are on the same stereo track.  I want to mix the channels so that each is heard on both channels (it's boring to always hear a topic by a speaker and the other through the other speaker).  Is there a way to do this in Premiere Pro?  I hope I don't need mud autour with separate audio in Soundbooth.  Thank you.

  You duplicate tracks in order to have two same then add filling allow one and right padding to the other. Could you post a screenshot of your cs5 change audio options.

• M2ts file Audio Editing problems (CS5.5)

  I am relatively new to CS5.5 and more than puzzled at not being able to highlight the audio 5.1 m2ts files to carry out any audio correction (such as a parametric equalizer).  It is also not possible to cary of J & L cuts either, for the same reason.

  I had no problem to do with AVI files, but noted a post-dated 2009 (which I guess applied to CS4), where none realize a montage could on the m2ts files, unless they were décimalisé all first, that only the AC3 Stream will be able to be edited.

  Can anyone suggest what I forget?  Even the base of Pinnacle Studio 15 can edit audio m2ts and I can hardly believe that it is always necessary demux these files for CS5.5...

  It worked perfectly OK, as long as I dropped the audio in a track unused 5.1. If I dropped it track 1, designating everthing els, he locks up as before.

  However, this lead me to the solution: it seems that some sort of bug has occurred when I used "Automate to sequence" to fill the timeline, as 5.1 together audio track 1 in the project is corrupted.

  Reboot again with a new authorized project the problem.

  I guess that's 'Sods law' that it should happen the first time I tried editing m2ts media!

• Music to Audio in Pro CS5.5 - image

  Hey everybody,

  Never thought wait seven years to update my software would be such a learning experience... lol

  In Flash MX to add audio to a video clip, animation, all you had to was to add the file to your library and drag it on the frame in which you wanted the audio to play. However when I try this in CS5.5, nothing happens. I am sure that there is just a different implementation now, and I don't know what it is.

  If you have the audio in your movie library and select that noise, you should be able to test her sounds good in the library. This will let you know that the sound works in Flash.

  To attach a sound to the timeline, select a keyframe. In the Properties window, you should see a list for her. There should be a dropdown of all audio files in the library list. Select the sound you want to play. The sound begins to play when you play the movie for this key frame.

• PS CS5 beginner question

  In PS CS5, I've hidden a rectangular selection on my first photo.   Then I dragged a picture 2nd on the 1st picture using the move tool and it creates a new layer that I now see photo part 2 out of rectangular selection of the photo from my 1st I chose a minute ago.  So far so good.

  However, I don't see a part of the 2nd photo through the window because the window is not big enough for all the 2nd photo be seen.  Is it possible to reduce the size of only the 2nd photo, so that the entire 2nd photo is small enough to be seen with the 1st pictures of rectangular selection?

  If I understand your question, the process is quite simple.

  1. make sure that the layer with the part you want to resize is the active layer

  2. click on "cmd" + "a".

  3. go to 'Edit' drop down menu and select: "transform": "scale".

  4. drag the corner of the frame until you have the size you want, and then press ENTER. To limit the proportions hold down the SHIFT key when you drag.

  Hi, I'm under InDesign CS5.5 and want to open my old CS5 files. I don't have CS5, and thanks to plug-ins missing, CS5.5 cannot open my source files... Is there a way I can recover these files without having to buy CS5? Manually download the plug-in, perhaps?

  I scoured the forums but no luck to find this solution. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

  7.0.4 is CS5. You told us that you run CS5.5.

  CS5 cannot open files CS5.5.

  Please ask someone with CS5.5 (or CS6) export as IDML files and then you can open the IDML CS5 files.

  You can also install a trial version of CS6, and do it yourself.

• Audio import in CS5.5 error

  I saw that others have asked this question, but the solutions did not work for me.  I use a file Actionscript 3 (an out of the box model bought online) and can not get any audio to import in the .fla file.  The audio files are in .mp3 format and have been published in hearing.  I tried to rename the files and when it does not work I tried export to .wav format.  Despite this, I still get error messages that the file could not be imported.  I also tried closing out of all my Adobe apps and re-opening only Flash, but that does not work either.  All solutions?

  I used to have the same problem. Then, I read somewhere online that you must have Quicktime installed for audio to import correctly into Flash. I did, and curiously I've not had a problem since. I have no idea why it works, but it did for me.

• Still CS5.1, question burning on DVD DL 8.5 GB using WIndows 7, 64-bit

  Is anyone familiar with the inability of CS5.1 still burn disc double layer 8.5 GB using Windows 7, 64 bit.  After many unsuccessful attempts, it turns out that you must still set as Windows XP compatibility in order to get the drive to burn.  Is this just a glitch with Windows 7 + Adobe Encore CS5.1?

  The problem with compatibility on yet is that you lose the dynamic link with first Pro CS5.5 of changes.

  Any other suggestions on the ability to burn without changing the compatibility of yet?

  BTW, 4.7 GB DVD works great.

• Merge data CS5.5 questions

  Right now, I have my text block with my fields of data entered on my master page. The text block has been configured to allow master point overrides, as recommended by the merge data Adobe tutorial for CS 5 and 5.5. When I saw my data merge, it seems perfect.

  The problem is that, once I said to merge, he repeats the first entry on all pages instead of going down my .csv file records. I checked the .csv file in TextEdit, and he seems not to have errors.

  Has anyone else had this problem and managed to understand?

  We have seen reports of a number of issues when you preview before you run the fusion in CS5 and 5.5. Try a leap of faith and do not listen to excerpts and see what you get.

• Audio setup in CS5 and workflow of audio overlay

  Here's the situation: I have a file 720 p mpeg-2 to a football game which is the first tv broadcast. The file contains multiplex A / V. I also have the radio version of the same game as mp3 with different advertisers for the game. I want to overlay audio of the radio with the video of the television and keep everything in harmony.

  1. what would be a good workflow to achieve? Is this possible in first or?

  2. I would like to give the viewer the opportunity to watch the game by using the TV audio or audio of the radio similar to a DVD with English or Spanish versions. How can I set up a menu option for this in again.

  You and thank you for the clarification.

  For this type of installation, you will place your different Audio streams on the timeline. Then, in a button, you specify Link (allows better control) and simply choose the Audio track appropriate, say Audio 'audio original.'

• Audio lagging in CS5 PP

  Just built a new system I7-980 x, FX4800, 12 G of Ram.  When I capture HDV footage from my camcorder Sony Z5U, I use the preset to HDV 1080i 60.

  The line audio and video, OK, but on more audio clips out of sync and I have to re adjust it approximately every 5 minutes.  The files are MPEG.

  I see every now and then a red flashing on the screen, like a skipped frame, this could be my problem?  I don't know if it's a camera export problem or a problem of import PP or frame that needs tweeking?  Any ideas?

  Looking at the specs of your camera it has a range of format options for shooting.

  (Even some according to Jim Simon, who probably would trade what you have for what he immediately... If you threw in a NAS, some current operating systems and a Gigabyte mixer... oh... .and a Red camera)

  However... have you tried a clip from the format of your choice directly on the icon of a NEW ITEM (project cell background) to see what organism sequence suggests aligns with precision your film.

  Think about cant of an organization that solves a problem syncing drifting or why the capture method would be at fault.

  What sound card you use and what are the drivers up to date?

• AE CS5 small Question re: buttons missing Pick Whip

  Working through an exercise in this book and I hit a standstill. As you will see in this screenshot, I don't get a drop-down arrow next to my lower set of Achor, Position and Rotation properties, which in turn means I can't call buttons Pick whip that I need for the next step (to join the two composition properties).

  

  But the book tells me to bind the properties of anchor, Position and Rotation of two compositions together using their individual Pick Whip buttons. I went back on all stages of the exercise and did absoultely I've done everything asked so far. I also dug around as much as I could myself before posting here because I don't want to waste time everyone with what looks like a crazy simple problem.

  
  But I just. cannot. do these buttons appear. I don't see the whips to Pick for the layer set, not the properties.

  You cannot use an expression selector until you make an expression. opt - win mac or alt + click on the stopwatch for the property to click.
