• Save button missing in the Audio edition

  I use 6 Captivate.  I want to change the audio on a couple of slides at once.  My approach has been to select the first slide, I want to change and then press CTRL + click on the second slide.  Then I go to the top of the screen and click on Audio > slide.  The edit box appears and I can edit, but I can't save.  I can't click anything else in the program selection until I record, so I have to stop the whole program, which makes me lose the work.  Is there a better process for editing a few slides at once?  Why did the "Save" button missing?

  You rename the cursor in the same way that you rename anything, by selecting and pressing on enter.

  Regarding the pick whip, I'm sure that you need create an expression on the attribute first by ALT-click on the stopwatch.

  Then you should be able to access the selection icon.

  1. can I use markers of different colors?

• New Separator button missing?

  I realize that this question was already asked, but to reply or create an account just to reply - I had TO ask a question.

  But I know that the new Firefox interface is here, it couldn't hurt to put the separator button in the option available for me to drag the toolbar main or tab bar. The question I have is just the separators in the way I have customized Firefox, but if I take them off there is NO WAY to retrieve them. I am not advocating the universe, just a separator button...

• Timeline A and V "buttons" missing

  I am using FIRST PRO CS5. Yesterday I added a new video in a multi track file and use the toggle sync lock button (to keep the existing tracks) combined with select the empty slopes, I want to use, click also the V and a button on the left end of the timeline. Today, while trying to do the same thing, I discovered that the V and a buttons are missing?

  What should I do to get back them?

• CS5 CS6 actions - mode button broken

  Just improved CS5 to CS6 on the Mac. I imported our actions (some are not import at all), but the problem that we have with our actions, it is in button mode, the action requires that confirm us each step. If I set the "normal" display mode by turning the button off mode, while the actions are working fine. I can run an action with multiple steps and I have never asked for a confirmation, it simply works. Mode button and I need to confirm each step.

• Cost organization CS5.5 on Mac installation - missing of presets and AVCHD support

  Oh, that's crazy.  How hell isn't bug-fixed?

  I'm in the middle of the implementation of a new Assembly Hall for my second aryschool where I am a Professor of the sociology of the media.  I have a handful of Mac running install fresh that I installed the new legal site, a first Pro CS5.5 license installed on.  By default, as in many workplaces, Macs require admin for internet passwords and install settings, which I applied.  None of the machines have made versions od body CS5.5 test or previous versions of the body.

  Questions:

  1. No of install it fresh contains presets for AVC-Intra, AVCHD, DSLR digital, XDCAM EX, XDCAM HD422, and XDCAM HD.  That is the kind of calamity, as we have new cameras Panasonic HDC AVCHD - SD900 wait to load images for editing.
  2. As a result, none of the Mac will load or recognize the AVCHD footage when I try to add.  I get error "compression type not supported."

  Am I missing something basic here, or I am about to enter the "all delete adobe, restart, reinstall, restart" loop of hell to try and fix a whole roomful of machines?   Is it possible to check if the settings are on the Mac?  Is it possible to connect again in the body, if they are?  And finally, is it possible to get the CS5.5 to recognize AVCHD in a recognized format (it's why I bought the license of site in the first place!  Premiere Pro is supposed to have the simplest AVCHD compatibility of all editing suites!).

  GRR.  The name of God.

  Well, this turned out to be weird.  Now fixed, but WEIRD.  After the deafening silence on this forum, I went and did some reading on other threads and with other people having the same (but apparently not the same) issue.  It seems it could have been three different causes: here's what I did to fix things, I'd be fascinated if anyone with closer links to Adobe comes with the technical explanation of why this turned out as it did.

  Possible problems:

  (1) installation may need to be done as Admin, rather than as a standard user on a Mac

  (2) firewall/proxy server is not allowing maybe a few anonymous reminder first of adobe to record parameters predefined/codecs

  (3) a strange thing involving registration... some people have had problems with time zones, of all things.  See below.

  What I did:

  (0) took all the school network to offshore and put on my home wireless network: no firewall, direct internet connection.

  (1) tried the above suggestion of Ann Bens.  Could not disable the software when you are logged in as administrator on my mac.  Came up with the error code 255:255 in the notification area, even though I never had a trial installed on this box.  It's the same error I got to school, so I excluded provisionally firewall/proxy problems.

  (2) read the forums even more.  I'm in New Zealand, it is currently daylight savings time (GMT + 13) here.  In http://forums.adobe.com/message/4007876, someone in New Zealand had a different but similar problem with the first Pro software registration/deregistration in time advanced NZ and found that change in ANY other time zone fixed their deliverance.

  (3) thought ' what the hell ', changed zone in Samoa (could not bring myself to make the Australia...) and restarted as an administrator.

  (4) software properly disabled, no error message.  Interesting.

  (5) uninstalled first pro.  Restarted as an administrator.

  (6) adobe Ran cleaning tool.  Found a few bits and pieces, killed off the coast.  Rebooted as admin to be on the safe side (always at the time of Samoa)

  (7) installed first, no problem at all.  Not registered, no problem at all.  All presets are present and correct, no problem getting AVCHD files.

  (8) changed time zone at the time of light day NZ.

  (9) all still works.

  HM.  Adobe, SOMETHING is wrong with the way your software processes zones and registered the codecs/software on first Pro CS5.5.  Seriously, anyone has an idea why this is happening?

  So resolved.  I'll give myself a tick for "right answer" and "useful answer", since I have solved my own thing without help from technical support?

• AUDIO ON PP CS5 - CS5.5 QUESTIONS

  CS5.5 corrects the MADDENING CS5 EXPORT OF WAV AUDIO AND VIDEO SEPARATELY when you try to create some FILES HDV 1080i 16 x 9 29.97 for the web and have checked/rechecked / V setings?

  How about CH 1 & 2 LOCK OUT PROBLEMS to move securities to CH1 and 2? How about you, creating undesirable/unexpected new tracks when you lock out all others and try to cut and paste for CH 1 & 2? I have hit roadblocks and need some answers... Thank you!
  

  For multiplexing (combination of both video & Audio streams), there are two places to address this problem.

  First of all, on the general tab (think he's generally in most common export formats, except maybe FLV, IIRC), there will be a check box Export Audio and video export. Who gets the ball, so to speak. However and this is an important step, you go to the multiplexer tab and choose something other than 'None '. The option is generally "DVD. This is the step that is often overlooked, and that the multiplexer is a sticky, holding the previous setting, the default value is None. This is often used to feed separate audio stream files and separate video streams to files, or another program creation. As many have problems with multiplex, especially files multiplexed MPEG files, I recommend that method when creating - separate files and not multiplex. In your case, you DON'T want the multiplexing.

• CS5 SDK: fields exporter & buttons

  I implement an exporter for CS5 with the new SDK. I had a question about custom presets. I have a Workbench where only one exporter will support multiple file formats and several presets each. It will use external resources for compression, so I need as a simple user interface for the exporter I can get. Currently, there is only a single prest - "Custom". I've attached the debugger for the plugin, but when I select the drop-down menu preset in the window of the exporter, first don't even go in exporting plugin. So, I can't know how to load my values in the preset field (for example, I can start with simple strings for the predefined names - "Preset 1", "Preset 2", etc. ") Also, I have a few questions exporter interface. So:

  1. How can I load multiple presets in 'Preset' field, so it will not always say "Custom" in the window of the exporter?

  2. is it possible to add a custom with custom name field and load custom in the exporter window values?

  3. is it possible to not draw (I disabled them) 'Export video', 'Audio export' and 'Open in Device Central' check boxes? I disabled, but would prefer them not visible in the window.

  4 can I control the toggling of the 'metadata' and the 'Tail' button button in the window of the exporter?

  5. is it possible to not draw (I disabled them) boxes 'Quality to make Maximum usage', "Use realized" and "use interpolation?

  Hey Petro,

  You can create a custom drop-down list, but it should be in one of the tabs at the bottom right, as video, Audio, or a new tab.  You cannot create a custom control next to the Format and Preset drop-down lists at the top right.  So if it is feasible, it would be ideal that you can use the existing preset menu drop down at the top right, next to the Format drop-down list.

  But if your exporter has a special need, you can create a custom drop-down list.  Looks like you do already, basically.  As the exporter of made during the exSelGenerateDefaultParams SDK sample, you can call AddParamGroup() with a name like 'Preset' and then create the dropdown param similar to how the exporter SDK calls AddParam() to create the type of field parameter, which is a drop-down list to multiple selections.

• PS CS5 beginner question

  In PS CS5, I've hidden a rectangular selection on my first photo.   Then I dragged a picture 2nd on the 1st picture using the move tool and it creates a new layer that I now see photo part 2 out of rectangular selection of the photo from my 1st I chose a minute ago.  So far so good.

  However, I don't see a part of the 2nd photo through the window because the window is not big enough for all the 2nd photo be seen.  Is it possible to reduce the size of only the 2nd photo, so that the entire 2nd photo is small enough to be seen with the 1st pictures of rectangular selection?

  If I understand your question, the process is quite simple.

  1. make sure that the layer with the part you want to resize is the active layer

  2. click on "cmd" + "a".

  3. go to 'Edit' drop down menu and select: "transform": "scale".

  4. drag the corner of the frame until you have the size you want, and then press ENTER. To limit the proportions hold down the SHIFT key when you drag.

• Add to Firefox button missing

  Recently, the Add to Firefox button is missing from the menu sharing. Since I have used other methods of sharing it no longer appears in the 3 options at the top of the main menu and I understand that it contains the latest methods of sharing used. However, can't add to Firefox anywhere even in the long list of all the methods of sharing after pressing the button of the majority. I rely heavily on this feature. Where is it and how do I get it back?

  Hi, don't worry! Options to open in a tab, and the changes are saved automatically. You can close it by clicking on the 'x' close tab that you would have another tab.

  If you really don't like it, you can return to the old window Options by: Type Subject: config in the address bar, press ENTER, accept the warning, scroll to browser.preferences.inContent and double-click on it to change the "value" from true to False, taking care to not to change what anyone else. You will then need to restart Firefox.
