I have one:
HP ENVY 15 notebook PC, nuber of product: C8P47AV
8.1 pro 64-bit of Windows
Intel Core i7-4702MQ CPU @ 2.20 GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M
#1 AudioDevice: Intel(r) Audio display
#2 AudioDevice: IDT High Definition Audio CODEC
After I've upgraded to Windows 8.1 and was playback of an MP3 file, I got this Windows error mseesage, "Windows Media Player C00D11BA error" and no sound. Many required devices as their drivers updated and completed.
Please advise,
Mike
Hi Mike,.
Try the following.
Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.
http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp63501-64000/sp63555.exe
One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers. Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.
Once complete, download and reinstall the Chipset driver from the link below.
When you're done, shut down the laptop by holding down the SHIFT key when you click Shutdown to temporrily prevent a hybrid boot.
Only start the laptop and let Windows load completely - it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete. Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation. Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices. 'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - restart the computer and try to play the mp3 file.

I've recently updated to Windows Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 Ultimate - it was clean install and most things work very well. One of the most common things that I do on my PC is rip CDs and Windows Media Player 12 seems much slower to do what Windows Media Player 11 on Vista. The big problems I have are:
1 after each track has reached 100%, WMP12 freezes, said the top of the window (not responding) and after about 30 seconds, it moves to the next track.
2. This continues for each track, until it reaches the last track of the CD - when it reaches 100% on this one, it freezes again and still average forever (or at least until that my patience runs out!). Then I have to close WMP12 that triggers a dialog box saying "the program is unresponsive"-choose "Close the program" and closed WMP12. When I restart my album WMP12 was torn with success. Adding album art using the right click "paste Album Art" feature is just as slow compared to WMP11 on Vista.
Please note: I initially thought that these delays were because the destination music folder Rip is a drive network hard (although WMP11 was ok with that) so I changed the destination music Rip in a local folder - C:Users\Public\Music - and the fault still happening.
Does anyone - especially someone of Microsoft - can help with this. Using WMP12 was one of the things I was most excited by my Windows 7 upgrade and it's really disappointing.
Thank you
Brett

I suggest that you try to reset the media library. Note firstly reset the library will make you lose all play counts and ratings too. Then, follow these steps:
-Restart the PC.
-Click Start, type services.msc in the search field and press ENTER. In Services, locate the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service . If its status is started , double-click the service, and then click stop .
-Click Start, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft in the search field and press ENTER. This folder opens in Windows Explorer.
-In this folder, rename the folder Media Player as Old Media Player . If you do not see the folder, then it is probably hidden. Set Explorer to view the hidden files and folders and show protected system files.
-Launch WMP, your library will have been reset and will be rebuilt. Check if the problem persists. Tim Baets

Windows Media Player running continuously in the background
WMP will not stop running in background - using the large amount of resources slowing my computer to analyze. Open Task Manager and it does not appear on the Applications tab, but showing high on the process tab usage. I tried open Windows Media Player and it appears twice in the Task Manager process. I close the open WMP and the original continues to show that run under the process. I closed it from the process tab, but it reappears immediately. I can not even find that Windows Media Player listed when I try to uninstall it from Control Panel. Windows ran "Fix" program, but it shows no problem was found. PLEASE HELP ME!
Hello
Who fix Windows program you run?
Method 1:
To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.Try to perform the clean boot and check if it helps, here is the link:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135Note: When you're done to diagnose, follow step 7 in the article to start on normal startup.
Method 2:
It sounds like an infection by the virus. I suggest that you run a virus scan on your computer and check if you have the same problem.
Here is a link that will give you information on how to perform a full scan of the system:Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss. -

I uninstalled and reinstalled several times and sometimes it worked once after installation then once you close it never starts again. What should I do to make it work. I need my music and videos.

Window media player s gel after 5 seconds during playback of the library
Hi SCOOTER069,
(1) remember you to make changes to the computer before this problem?
(2) what version of Windows Media player do you use?
(3) is limited only to a few specific file types?
Windows Media Player interacts with many system components, including hardware drivers, audio and video codecs and DirectShow filters. It is possible that the player is facing problems due to a faulty or incompatible component from a supplier other than Microsoft software.
Method 1: You can follow the steps mentioned in the article below, which deals with a similar question

Windows Media Player is the default player for Internet Explorer. If you are using other web browsers, you can install plug-ins appropriate.

Creation of DVD Windows Media Player, Media Center, stop working
I use Windows Vista and that you cannot use Windows Media Center, Media Player, Media Player Classic or Windows DVD Maker.
When I try and play a video file for example, I immediately have an error message saying that "Windows Media Player has stopped working. A problem caused the blocking of the program works correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. Same message for attempting to use one of the other programs listed.
I tried to reboot, I checked for updates and Windows Vista Service Pack 2 installed and I used the Microsoft fix it solution to 'Windows Media Player stops responding after you install a third-party product that registers its own version of the Wmp.dll file' (using both the "fix it for me" and "Let me fix it myself" options).
Unfortunately that I do not have a restore to restore point, my only option was to restore to the point before you install Windows Vista Service Pack 2, but my problem before this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! I think that the problem may have started when I updated a program, I used without any problems in the past ("Format Factory"), because I can't think of anything that may have done so.
Thank you!
