• Portege Z30 / driver Audio Replicator + Touchpad scroll problems

  Hello.

  I bought a Z30 and I'm pretty happy with it that I worked for years with the Thinkpads (+ Dock)
  but there are a few light (more or less can be addresses as a driver) questions that I discovered.

  Notice: I use Win7 64.

  (1) with the Replicator Docking Station, I'm not able to remove the USB Audio device is currently running.
  As you play a video or music. -J' looked for a newer driver (from C-MEDIA) as the standard Microsoft Driver may not be the best choice but I have found NO Win7 drivers for this device. The pilots of C-MEDIA only I found is Win8.

It is quite difficult to click on buttons AccuPoint (those under the keyboard) and drivers of touchpard are not flexible somehow. Gestures are not actually enforced as it should... seems to be as ALPS had to work on without a lot of time. Synaptics would have been a much better choice.
  The driver cannot be adjusted to speed with scroll gestures and by default is AVERAGE... really ridiculous WAY to fast. In short, it is unusable for regular use.   I hope someone can help me with this.  I've just updated to the new CC first pro and when I drag a clip that has audio it displays correctly only audio in the audio track, BUT... when I drag a clip (or even the exact same clip) in the sequence of the audio track is not displayed and cannot be heard or published.  Just to double check, I did a new project, tried to load these two clips in reverse order and it worked the same way.  Only the first loaded track will show that it is the audio track.  When I create a new sequence by using the menus at the top specifically to test this, none of the audio tracks are displayed when the drug on the time line.

  I also tried to load the video in the window source first before I drag it down. Sometimes the source plays audio, sometimes it does not. Anyway the audio still does not appear.

  

  I hope that there is just a shoddy setting, I've turned on.  I know how to do Prime Minister rip the audio output and is it she's own track after the fact, but the whole issue is speed and convenience, and I never had this problem in the old version.  Thanks much for any help.

  I make a slide show and would like to add audio from my itunes library.  When I click to add audio and browse my itunes library, nothing shows after that I click on the album. In an older version, I would like to change the file to a WAV file and it would do very well.  The new itunes doesn't let me do it onlyl to an AAC file (don't know what it is) when I'm trying to say it is protected and cannot change it.  How can I add audio files to my slide show using itunes?

  Once, iTunes doesn't have a way to get their music in programs, as before, at least not directly.

  At the time, the workflow was to go to iTunes, create a Playlist for the necessary music from iTunes, then burn it to an Audio CD. Once this is done, we take this CD in a program like the free Audacity, RIP CDA, then Save_As WAV format, choose 16-bit 48 kHz PCM/WAV. These WAV files were imported in pre.

  At some point, they have loosened things up a bit, and many had no problem with a direct Import from iTunes.

  Now of course what they do now, but many, like using music from other sources, rather than iTunes.

  Neale has linked to a conversion request, but I've never used. OTOH, if Neale recommend it, then it should work perfectly.

  I can't select any individual audio cilps in my sequence window. I am able to select the whole piece of audio, and I choose the video clips. If I want to select an individual audio clip to edit, I can't. This is the first time I have experienced this problem with first Pro CS5, although I've only worked with her for a few weeks.   I recently started using Captivate and like many... autorecord functionality, etc. I'm having a problem however. I have a slideshow which is long about 11 slides. I used to AutoSave to capture the slides and went in and cleaned the slides. Everything worked very well and I was able to register without any problems. However, last night I recorded a few audio bits for 9 of the 11 blades, and when I tried to save my computer lodged and required a hard - reboot. I then tried to save after every audio bit I recorded, but I do not have much the app crashed as soon as I tried to save it after the first audio recording. I use this locally on my PC/Windows XP box. I have a Pentium 4 to 3.4 GHz and 1 GB of ram. Anyone have any ideas on why this is happening or how to get this working?

  I did save and save audio files in MP3 format with sound forge. I was able to import MP3s and save the Cp file successfully. Everything works fine now. I guess that I won't be able to use Captivate to record audio.

  Try the following.

  Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

  FTP://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp59001-59500/sp59291.exe

  One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

  When you're done, shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

  Only start the laptop and let Windows load completely - it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

• Audio serious buffering of problems L350 - 20G / FA-66 / Expresscard Firewire

  I'm after some advice about this frustrating; I used to have a Toshiba Equium A100 - 02L I used in conjunction with my Edirol FA - 66 firewire audio interface, that I used for about 3 years with no problems. The laptop took a battering to concerts and other things kicking so I decided to upgrade.

  I went for the Satellite L350 - 20G and have tried to get my work with it through the use of am ST LAB Express card double 6-pin firewire port with a TI FA-66 chipset. I tried to use this in XP / Windows 7/Vista with no good result. I have made sure I have all the latest drivers for all platforms and made sure I GL40 chipset driver installed and still the same result audio seems to be severely low resolution or buffers and chops the audio to the top.

  This t really shouldn't happen I don't know, but am pretty out of options. Another comment on the express card slot is the slot is wide like a PCMCIA slot and it does it not very well Express card. I feel a little cheated on this and had a lot of faith in my old Toshiba but now wonder what the hell to do what I bought this laptop for Audio / production.
