AUInstallAgent

I had a problem to update or download apps from the windows store I use windows 8. So to solve the problem, I've recreated AUInstallAgent folder in the windows folder, but the question how it get deleted because I did not remove it.

Hello

This folder is a system folder and Windows has the capacity to generate it automatically and delete according to the State. As far as I know, the record is related to the Windows store and Windows Update operations. Furthermore, is your problem related to Windows Store set after you create this folder?

Kind regards.

    Hello

Look if the 'AUInstallAgent' file is missing from the windows folder. If this is the case, you will need to create a new folder, rename it to "AUInstallAgent" and restart your pc.

I wanted just to update this option to add that I had the same problem in Windows 8.1 and the solution was to create the 'C:\Windows\AppReadiness' directory which apparently replaces the directory 'AUInstallAgent' of Windows 8.

    Hey Azad,

Faced with this problem with a particular application?

This problem may occur because some of the incorrect settings or due to some corrupt files app. I would suggest trying the following steps and check:

    Method 1:

Run the apps troubleshooting utility that can automatically detect and fix most of the incorrect settings. Here is a link to download the Troubleshooter:

    http://go.Microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?LinkId=268423

    Method 2:

If the problem persists, I suggest you to reset the Windows Store cache and check. Press the Windows key + R, type WSReset and press ENTER. When the Windows store cache has been reset the app store of Windows should open automatically.

    Method 3:

If the problem persists, try to re - create the AUInstallAgent folder:

    1. Navigate to the Windows folder. (located on the drive where Windows is installed)
    2. Looking for a folder named AUInstallAgent.
    3. If it is missing from the Windows folder, create a new folder named AUInstallAgent.

Try these steps and let us know the results.

  • Windows 8 - the Application cannot get installed, 0x80073cf9 error code

I have a question that I'm not able to find the answers that he.
The question is that it is necessary to install Windows 8.1 to install apps from the store? Cuz recently I received my laptop to format because of a problem of graphics card, and now he has Windows 8. But now I'm not able to install apps and it shows the different error codes, error code mainly 0x80073cf9. I did the AUInstallAgent and AppReadiness solution I found on the internet, but it was of no use. I have not had this type of problem when I had Windows 8.1.
Is there no problem in my laptop, or should I update to 8.1 Windows, because I did not like 8.1 that much.

    Any help is appreciated

Thank you for your message and give us the opportunity to help you.

This error code is usually related to a file which is missing and prevents the installation of the applications.

    OT: Error 0x8024600e Windows

I had already checked everything you suggest me.
This morning, after that I noticed that IE was impossible to download anything, I solved it.
The Temporary Internet Files directory was missing (I don't know why).
I wrote the good location in the registry and now everything works.

    Search
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders]
and then set the Cache key
    %UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files

  • 8 win fails to connect to the Agent to install all the Windows user

    Hello

When I start Windows 8 I get a box saying cannot connect to a windows service. Windows all users install the agent service. Event ID 7000. If I'm on online help link I get "page not found". The result from my point of view is that I don't seem to be able to install updates for all programs. Windows updates crashes and PSI download updates but hangs when it comes to installation. I don't really want to reload Windows I'll lose all my 3rd party software and it takes an age to recharge. I had to do it about eight times since I got Windows 8 (7 months). Can anyone suggest a solution please. I'm reasonably computer literate, but I do not understand about the permissions etc. Ive tried to attach a copy of the event log details.

    I've seen some say that they did not have this file, and simply adding the folder fixed their problems.   Look and see if the following folder exists, otherwise create a new folder;
