I just bought a new computer and new for WIndows 7, so sorry if this is a stupid question

I'm trying to copy files from one external hard drive to another to save them. WIndows 7 tells me that the destination folder access denied, and I need administrator permission to copy to this folder. I click on 'Continue' and then... nothing happens. I have my computer and I am the only user of it. Who is the administrator? How can I get permission? And why do I need?

    Hello

Did you change in the computer before this problem?

I suggest that you try the following method

    a. open the computer and right click on your external hard drive.
    b. go to properties > Security.
    c. click on modify under a quote "to change permissions, click on change."
    d. click Add. Type in "everyone" in the white box.
    e. then check in the box "total control". Press OK.
  • How can I me gives authorization registry administrator to access/open HKEYs needed for installation of Adobe products?

Don't know if this is the right place or not, but here goes nothing.

I tried and tried to install Adobe Reader 9 or 9.3 and Flash Player 10.0.2.45 on my desktop PC Windows Vista Home Premium (HP Pavilion on 64 bit OS) without success. At half way through I get a dialog box popping up telling me Error 1402. I don't have permission to open the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE32/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Run/OptionalComponents/IMAIL or MSFS. When I try and access this mess of roof of mix I get a reading of message ' no such entry found. Try different spellings etc."which I did and got nothing. Then I went to regedit.exe and could find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE but not such a file root with a '32' after the MACHINE nor I could find any subs under Run or components optional or MSFS IMAIL either. I already reset the registry to its default security settings, but it was not good at all. I tried, but although I can easily create restore system restore points resolutely refuses to restore anything! I went to the section default slot Windows find permissions and gave administrator privileges to each user name there. It's a desktop home PC and I am the owner and the main user. My mom and my brother use it about once every two months or so so, indeed I am the primary user. Can you please help me with this problem? The earlier the better as it is tax time and I need the PDF to DL capability and print tax forms. I can't do without Reader and Flash Player installed, nor can I access videos, audio or pix graphic either. Thanks a lot for your kindness and Kami bless you. Hey K & K,.

    Thanks for the reply.

You have to click on start-> Run-> type regedit and enter.

In the registry, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE32/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Run/OptionalComponents/IMAIL or MSFS

Then follow the steps above to give permission to IMAIL or MSFS.

Hope the helps of information. Please post back and we do know.

  • Cannot delete the folder (access denied / authorization to administrator)

Recently, after a good 6 months to give a fair chance to Windows 8, I decided to reinstall Windows 7 on my laptop. Installation went very well, no problems (it's the original operating system on this machine). When I installed 7 I didn't format my drive, and so all my files/directories have been moved to the Windows.old folder. I had already backed up everything so I tried to delete the record and was invited to give permission to the administrator. I clicked through and received the error message: you need permission from TrustedInstaller to make changes to this file.

I know that this problem is everywhere, but before dismiss you this as a pointless post, that's what I tried (unsuccessfully) solve this problem:
    > Delete manually CMD with elevated privileges (no results, "access denied" after each item has been deleted in vain)
    > Turn off UAC (no change)
    > Delete using Shift + Delete to bypass the Recycle Bin
    > Add a DWORD value in the registry (UseSystemForSystemFolders)
    > Start in safe mode with CMD prompt, could not remove with CMD or via Explorer
    > Activate the hidden administrator account and remove using the Explorer/CMD
    > Change the folder permissions, raise my account permissions and creating a new user name or the group with my account with full access
I spent the best part of 24 hours trying to solve this problem. I would like to avoid reinstalling Windows because I had already transferred 200 GB of data on my computer before I realized it was a problem. Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the reply. I totally forgot to include Unlocker on my list of failed attempts. It has disabled a lock that was in place, but has not changed and he could not remove the file. I tried to move the folder into a zip file too, so I could delete just that but while I am able to move the folder on my drive hard I can't move it to a zip archive.

Sorry, I thought that Unlocker is worth the try.

After all, you tried, I doubt that the following articles
would be useful but they both recommend the disk cleanup.

  • Prevent users without access to authorization WCP Administration Console

    Hi all
I've created a normal user A not great, but no permissions for this user. I have A WCP Adminstration Console user connection and the result I always access WCP Administration Console. And I can see the page of resources and Services page.
And I discovered big problem here with the user I can change the position of all the page in the page 'management of Pages '. This action may take effect immediately and show it on site. In detail the position of link to pages in the main menu of the portal will change.

Did you prevent a user from authenticating, without permission of the WCP Adminstration Console administration access?
Do you have any idea about this?

    Thank you very much!

Simply apply the Security Admin page directly in jazn-"Data.xml".

Remove authenticated role and only assign this page to the Administrator role.

To see the applied to the admin page security follow these steps:
    (1) go to the jazn-"Data.xml"
    (2) in resource Type, select Web Page
    (3) check "Show Web Pages imported from libraries of the ADF
    (4) select "view resources with subsidies."
    (5) see you admin page, remove authenticated and add the role of administrator.

    Kind regards.

  • Administrator: How can I give permission to allow changes to the computer?

    21/02/2012

Authorization to administrator to make changes to the Windows or XP Pro home page.   I use to find out how many years ago, but I can't seem to get it now.  When I go to the administrator (user account) or another thing, I'm lost.

In Control Panel, I went to user accounts, but I don't see a command as administrator can click to be allow changes to my computer.

    • Currently, I don't have an administrator name or pass word.  Could be my problem?   After an accident, I don't bother to put this in place.   Even if I had an admin name and pass the word, I still don't see any orders.

    ZARA3511

    Hi Zara,

    1. what command exactly are you referring to?

2 did you change on your computer before the show?

There are two ways to give all the permissions on your computer.

    Method 1:

You can give a total control on your computer, connecting via the administrator user account.

    Method 2:

Through Group Policy, you can change the permission on your computer.

Check out the links to learn more about group policy.

  • How to connect to the computer without administrator privileges?

    Original title: question administrator

I don't have the admin rights even if I'm the only one using the machine. I accidentally deleted the Administrator profiles, I created and the default admin was left disabled and I don't remember giving it a password.

I can't raise any application or change the permission of my profile.
When I try, I have the window UAC which has the "Yes" button grayed out.
When I go to computer management > users and local groups to change the properties of the profiles I get 'access denied '.

I tried running with the system in mode safe but still can't find a way to get the elevation or change my authorization to administrator.
When I get to safe mode and Admin profile appears on the list and I get to click, restart the system.
It doesn't matter if all the services.msc a services property gray buttons? Is something wrong with the services?

I accidentally deleted the Administrator profile

Delete the only and only the administrator account would be equivalent to throw one and only safe key you have. Here's how you can recover from this error:

    1. Set your BIOS so that it uses the DVD drive as its primary boot device.
    2. Start the computer with your Windows 7 repair CD.
    3. Press a key when prompted to boot from the DVD.
    4. Select 'PC Repair' in the menu.
    5. Select 'Repair' when prompted.
    6. When you are prompted, select System Restore.
    7. Configure Windows to a point before you removed your admin account.
    8. Plan ahead a little and create, test and document an alternative admin account, same as you have a spare emergency House key. This will save you a lot of trouble.
  • Windows 7 Administrator privileges

I am running windows 7 on my PC at home and sometimes I'm wondering for authorization to administrator even if I am logged on as administrator. How can I fix?

It happened because the external drive has been used on another PC. You may need to take possession of the files on the disk - see here:

  • Skype icon, absent from the toolbar

    Hello.

My Skype account did not work on our 2 PC (have not used on PCs for a while.) Had to update Skype to make it work. Update worked perfectly except the icon Skype in the toolbars of the two computers has turned into an icon of the white page. Make a right-click on the icon is not good. Entered the program/properties to change the icon, but it shows Skype has the correct icon and he said actually "authorization required administrator" or something like that to change. This isn't a huge deal, but it's quite boring... In addition, my husband is very likely remove the icon if it does not recognize. Thanks for any help.

Try to detach and then pin this icon again.

  • Photoshop CC install hangs at 48%

Using the latest update of Creative Cloud Desktop on a Windows 7 system, whenever I try to install Photoshop CC, it downloads, extracts, and crashes at 48% or gets stuck in "pending" status  I tried the chat with technical support, nothing helps.  They had me try several relocations and restarts in different modes.  Nothing has worked.

When try another and let it run all night (which no longer works), when I looked in the morning, there was an error message to the effect that it was a permissions problem.  Looking at the logs, it seems he tried to update some files C++ that requires authorization to administrator.  I tried to run CC Desktop as administrator, but that no longer works.  If admin permissions are necessary, why isn't the installer asking me permission, since I am logged as administrator?  During the installation of other software, the installation program always asks, and after the granting of the authorization, the installation continues.  This isn't the case with CC, for some reason any.

I suspect that the blow to 48% can be because it tries to install something that requires permission from the admin, and since he never invited to do so, he will ever get, and there it is.

I have installed and updated to other software (Lightroom and Illustrator) by CC without any problem, but I can't Photoshop to install at all.  For any help or suggestion would be appreciated.  I already tried to start in selective mode with services but not starting applications.  Same result.

Jenseeya and Profgreek if you try to download the installation of Photoshop using the directions to http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cc-direct-download-links.html do you face the same difficulties?  Please be sure to fill out the very important Instructions before scrolling to the bottom of the page and clicking on the download links.

  • Request for authorization from the administration...

When I use toad 8 then windows7 always ask permission of the administrator, is that we can disable this validation?

    Hi Prashant Sharma, k.

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I understand how it could be frustrating when things do not work as expected. Please, I beg you, don't worry I'll try my best to resolve the issue.

Who is the seller of the program 8 Toad?

The only way to disable this prompt for administrator authorization is to disable UAC

Enable or disable the User Account Control
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows7/turn-user-account-control-on-or-off

Note: User Account Control (UAC) can help you to prevent your computer from unauthorized changes. It works by asking permission when a task requires administrative rights, such as installing software or changing settings affecting other users. We do not recommend disable user account control. If you turn it off, you must reactivate as soon as possible.

Hope this information is helpful and let us know if you need more assistance. We will be happy to help.
