Choose Safari > Preferences, and then click AutoFill.

To change or remove the information AutoFill, click on Edit next to the information you want to edit or delete.

currently the latest version of Safari on the latest version of El Capitan.

AutoFill works fine most of the time, however, there is a specific site in which I use every day for work sheets and auto-fill on the username, but fills the password. This happens on all my devices (Mac and iOS)

I checked in the preferences and my username and password are all correct and the check box is selected to allow auto-fill work.

This problem also happens to other sites for example my work email (outlook, webmail) where the username is autofilled, but not the password.

  • AutoFill no longer works correctly.

A few days ago, I decided to try to use DashLane to help with the management of my password. Not that Firefox did a bad job or anything like that, but I just... "what the devil." After about 2 days of trying to get DashLane to quit trying to save every little thing I was working, I had enough and uninstalled.

Since that time, my Firefox passwords did not work correctly at all. They're here, but unless I seized the first letter of the user name, the password will not be displayed. Before, I didn't do anything. I tried several methods have been proposed to others on the forum, but without success. I'm at a point where I want to just uninstall Firefox altogether and start over again.

Any thoughts? I thank everyone's help in this case.

    FOUND THE SOLUTION!

Went to https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/?utm_source=firefox-com & utm_medium = referral Firefox and where it says "Refresh Firefox", just clicked on the button and it automatically does the rest.

Sure that after installing Dashlane somehow hijacked my Firefox browser, but after an uninstall, made out clearly what he needed. Sometimes I think these kinds of things are intentional by the publishers of software, just to make you feel that you have to come back.

In any case, this solves my problem entirely, and AutoFill works superbly!

  • After changing my password FB, autofill remember password, so I deleted the email to try once again, now it will not even my email autofill.

I tried to delete my e-mail again and now it won't even fill my e-mail account. I have to type every time.
    Any ideas?

  • AutoFill https overwrites the data

Safari has a bug with autofill names of user and password to access web applications over https.

The web application uses the connection of shapes, so he asks me my username and password. It is filled correctly and I can connect.

In this application the web are customer profiles, where I am able to set the user names and passwords for other profiles.

The problem is that when you edit an existing entry, the user name and password fields are being crushed with my login details. I can't undo it, and if I save the record, the data will be changed and lost.

Safari shouldn't be substitution fields with automatic filling of information that already have values. Period.

So my options are right now not to use the auto-fill on these types of web applications or use another browser that does not have this bug, like the Chrome.

Send feedback to Apple. They will not respond, but at least will know that there is a problem or a suggestion for improvement. If enough people send feedback, it can get change / suggested the problem solved as soon as possible.

  • How to remove an address former home of AutoFill?

I bought a bunch of a company called band of brothers. I entered my billing and shipping address. Somehow in the process, he used autofill to add my old address in another State, I lived 18 months ago and filled at THIS address. In the account information of the website for me, it shows my new address first, and my old address in the second place, buy autofill information apparently the old address instead. The "expert" on the site of the seller told me that the problem was not their system, but my Firefox autofil function. Is there a way for me to delete old address so that it can never autofil again? If I completely remove Firefox and reloaded, will that fix my problem?

Reinstall will not, remove unless you do a 'clean reinstall"or"cool ". Who will remove your firefox profile, which contain the information that you want to remove.

But be aware, clean reinstall or update the firefox factory reset will, you will lose all the bookmark, history, addon, passwords, etc.

Frankly, I don't think it's a problem I would like to personally distressed with a refreshing or clean install. Deleting the entry as I mentioned in the previous post is an adequate solution. Once deleted, it will not be displayed again in the same Web site.

  • iPhone 6 purchased music unsuppressed after trying to AutoFill new playlist?

When you try to automatically fill a new playlist, I had endless circles... and the playlist was never added to my phone. Then I realized that all my music (not purchased) has an exclamation by it and cannot be played. When I unplugged my phone all my music not purchased was gone.

Is there a way to recover my music?

And if yes, AutoFill still a function that works even more?

I had to put the music on another phone as well... but I'm not accidentally destroy their music too.

(For the record, everything I tried was auto fill.) I have not tried the synchronization and the error "wipe phone" thing never came).

Hello and welcome to Apple support communities, SlightlyAnnoyed.

If I understand your post right, you were unable to create a new playlist in iTunes using the incremental copy feature and your songs not purchased in iTunes had exclamation points and have also disappeared from your iPhone. My personal iTunes library is filled with a lot of music that has not been actually purchased on iTunes and I'd hate for them to disappear on me, so I can certainly understand why this would cause concern it.

When the songs show the exclamation marks in iTunes, it means that iTunes is not able to locate the music files on your computer. More than likely, if you have connected your iPhone to iTunes it began a synchronization and given that these music files could not be found when it synchronized, it their removed from the phone.

To answer your first question, Yes, it would be possible to recover your music. However, to make the music come back really depends on where this music. If your music not purchased is stored on an external hard drive, you will need to have this hard drive connected to the computer so that the music to work with iTunes. For more information about how and where iTunes stores music, take a look at this support article:

Search and organize your iTunes media files

If you are not sure where your music not bought is actually stored, it would be preferable to follow the steps in this article to find the first location:

Search the file for an item that see you in iTunes

If you don't know where iTunes stores your content, open the window read:

    1. Select a file in iTunes.
    2. Mac: In the MenuBar at the top of your computer screen, choose file > read the information.
Windows: Press control and B on your keyboard to open the iTunes menu bar, and then choose file > read the information. Learn more about the menus in iTunes for Windows.
    3. Click the file tab.
    4. At the bottom of the tab, look to the right 'location', the address or the path where your file is located.

Some of your files may be stored in iCloud. For these files, read the information presents iCloud instead of a path to a location on your computer.

Once you have found your music, if you want to, you can add these songs to your iTunes Media folder. If you use a Mac, you can locate the iTunes Media folder by selecting Go > Home > music > iTunes from the Apple menu bar. If you are using a Windows computer, open .

For your second question, Yes, Autofill still is a function that works in the latest version of iTunes. Take a look at the following article for more information about the AutoFill feature incremented, including the section that starts with "fill your device with a random selection of songs using auto-fill":

12 iTunes for Mac: iPod, iPhone, or iPad sync

  • AutoFill Safari by using fake e-mail, Contacts are correct

AutoFill in Safari for my e-mail address uses only a part of my real address: [for example "[email protected]"versus"[email protected]" ""].  This has been true for several months. All versions of MAC OS X and software are up to date.

All uses of my e-mail address in Contacts are correct.

AutoFill in APPLE MAIL, probably using the same database of Contacts, is correct.

I can't find any use of "[email protected]" in all auto-complete entries.

  • How can I disable AutoFill for a recipient name?

Inadvertently, I added an additional letter at the end of an E-mail address of the recipient. Now when I try to enter the correct name, autofill insists on adding the extra letter. How can I disable AutoFill?

AutoFill suggestions come from your address book. The misspelled address is almost certainly in a named collected addresses address book. Find, edit and move it to your default address book.

An easy way to find it would be to create a new message to the wrong address and save it as a draft. Open the message of project, click the yellow star next to the address, select Edit, and a dialog box appears, where you can change, delete, or move the Contact entry.

  • Impossible to disable the AutoFill in got

Under: Galaxy S4 GT-i9500, latest Android last 4.4.2 Firefox stable (31.0).

I'm unable to totally disable AutoFill bar when you try to enter a URL or search. Happens that once a tab, which means that the first time that I press f he writes facebook.com/f, but sometimes he leaves just the f it.
I've already looked at this topic and tried:
    browser.urlbar.autoFill = False
    Browser.urlbar.AutoComplete.Enabled = False
And, just in case he did something, bourser.urlbar.autocomplete.search_treshold = 0 (instead of 5)
NONE of them worked. In fact, none of them has anything.
I still don't understand why he would write 'facebook.comF' with F in the end or why, even though she seems to be disable it retains it's. Also, quickly writing something like "fa" ends in "facebook.com/fa.
Already tried to clean it, absolutely everything, is not working and is not not even a friendly workaround solution.

Please help, it drives me crazy. I love Firefox and totally hate Chrome, do not want to use just because of this stupid bug.

This problem is fixed on Firefox beta and the final version of Firefox will have this fix on September 2nd hour Pacific of mid-day (assuming that the release of 32 is fine).

  • AutoFill no longer works for sites with multiple login accounts

A few days before, (I think after the update of FireFox 31), I noticed websites where I have multiple accounts login, I cannot select the username I want autofilled.
for example: Say Gmail (or yahoo mail), I have multiple user accounts. Clicking in the user name field, correctly lists the accounts that I have on this site. However, by clicking on one of these ID does not being filled with auto name. I have to type in the entire code.
Sites where I only have 1 ID continue to work properly.
On a 'Utilities' Bill-pay site, where I used to have an old inactive ID, in addition to an asset, also wouldn't let me pick/auto-fill the active code. However, when I deleted the inactive ID in the drop-down list, the rest of the ID of 1 gets filled with auto.
Once the ID is filled in, the password gets filled with auto.

    Any idea?

You can check if this problem is caused by an extension.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe
