Automatic repair of your PC/preparation loop diagnosis

My mother bought me a laptop HP LT already installed with Windows 8. I brought home, has started up and now it is in an infinite loop "Diagnose your PC" and "prepare the AutoFix. How can I fix it?

Hello

Good to know that you are working on Windows 8.

I see that the laptop only is stuck with an endless loop of "Diagnose your PC" and "prepare the AutoFix.

Did you change the cell beforehand, this problem started?

I suspect that the issue could be with the hard drive.

As he is again a notebook HP LT, it should be under warranty, so I suggest you to contact HP support.

It will be useful.

    Hi Ashish,

  • Stuck in the automatic repair of repair could not your PC loop to win 8 on HP laptop

I bought a new HP 15 '' Notebook in December 2014 with 8 Windows preinstalled. After loading the applications and copy the data from the machine it replaces, I stop the machine and got the familiar window "Updating - please do not power off ' message. However, when the auto reboot occurred auto repair window appeared with a message indicating that the machine cannot be repaired automatically and advising me to check the log file C:\Windows\System32\Logfiles\srt\SrtTrail.txt for the details of the problem. After I found the option to command line of auto repair-> troubleshooting-> Advanced Options-> command prompt, I found that the default drive called X:. After changing the C: with the "c:" command, the SrtTrail.txt file in the specified folder contained many successul test reports and the string "Startup Repair tried several times but still not determine the cause of the problem", if this file was not useful to determine the cause of the problem.

In the command window, I was able to run

    Bootrec /fixMBR
    Bootrec /Fixboot
    Bootrec /rebuildBCD

successfully, but after reboot I got the loop.

    I also tried

    CHKDSK c: /r
    CHKDSK d: /r

but after reboot I again re-entered in the loop.

I have not yet tried the reset option or update as Microsoft Office 2010 license key may not support another activation.

Are there other actions I can try before I resort to reset or update?

    Hi Simon,.

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I really appreciate the efforts made to try to resolve the problem. I understand and it is regrettable that the laptop is stuck in this loop. You can perform a system restore using the installation media for Windows 8 to restore the laptop to point earlier in time. However, given that Windows 8 has been pre-loaded on this laptop, I would recommend contacting the manufacturer for recovery for Windows 8 media.

Once you get the recovery media, you can perform the restore of the system following the steps below.

    a. insert the installation media and restart the computer.

    b. select language and click Next.

    c. select repair your computer and click on Skip this drive.

    d. select Troubleshooting and click Advanced Options.

    e. here, choose the automatic repair option and follow the instructions prompted.

Important: When you use system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, the programs and updates that you have installed after this date are deleted.

Hope this information is useful. Please feel free to answer in the case where you are facing in the future other problems with Windows.

  • You want to speed up your project preparation time?  You'll want to try this handy free program!

I recently stumbled on a super convenient, free program called Post haste.

It's a brilliantly simple program that allows you to create project templates, as well as at the press of a button unique, you can have your project instantly set up for you, complete with new PP, AE, projects PSD (etc.), all automatically named after your project, and whatever the structure to better support file suit you needs.

Here is an example of the simple model I created for the wedding same day changes:

    Post Haste.jpg

Any template file named "Template" automatically renamed Gets the name of the project!

There, I sent Adobe an EN that would allow us to implement the models within the PP, so that when we open a project, we have all of our most used locations already created for us.  Can't wait to post seems to remove the need for Adobe implement than FR, given that you can set any model post haste to automatically create a new empty of the first project, or create a renowned project copy previously created PP all your common locations has already implemented (for example, video, footage, titles, Audio, AE) etc.) !

If you want to accelerate your project preparation time, you might want to check this out!  I wish I had discovered a long time ago.

This small free program essentially eliminates the need for Adobe implement the functionality it provides, something that Adobe could easily do in my view, would be a service to users of first in general, would be to add this program to their front page Plug-ins in the section Workflow tools.  I don't know what the policies are regarding this software may or may not appear on this page, but something that can help publishers Premiere Pro the way Post haste can should definitely be on this list IMO. (For my part he wishes had been on this list a long time ago when I checked out).

    Workflow tools.jpg

If anyone knows of any alternative program that does the same thing done Post haste, enter it here.  It would be fun to try an alternative to compare.  More options, get to know us, the more effective our workflow becomes, so I hope this tip helps some of you out there!

The way it works is that you have installed your project how you would like in the built-in template editor, with the structure of the file desired on the disc and the necessary sequence and bin configuration settings in your project file.

Then when you need create a new project, you enter the parameters in the rush of the post and it will create a new project of this model, using the parameters for naming files. It is useful to maintain the same structure between projects and it is useful for the strict naming conventions with facilities.

Probably the best place to start is the right forum for your product. This is the forum for Distiller Server, a product used by corporations long dead, and probably not what you have. If you can't find the right forum, please let us know the FULL name of what you paid for (Please check your invoice, as Adobe have a lot of similar products), and we may be able to direct you. • automatic repair of Windows 8 could not repair your pc

I recently bought a new 3 TB hard drive for my computer to add to my system. I installed without a problem and has used the software that came with the drive. For reference, I added a Seagate SATA drive 3TO. I cloned my original 2 TB drive on my new drive because I want to use it as my main drive for windows. No problems showed up after it was complete. My records all use MBR and I have very little experience in creating the partitions. I have partitioned my drive and was designed to use the extra space after the 2 TB limit has been reached.

In all cases after a few days I decided to perform a new installation of windows and my recovery disk that put back me in windows 7. My recovery partition is set for windows 7 and I started the migration to windows 8. After completing the installation of Windows 8-re, I ran the seagate software to allow me to use the extra space on my HARD drive but after restarting my computer finds the option of automatic startup and recovery States that he is unable to fix the pc.

I tried a few different options to no effect but my attempt to enter a system restore point, I noticed the Seagate Software did a restore point so I started this earlier period.

It is a new installation of Windows 8. I have not yet loaded Windows 8.1 as all I have is the DVD of Windows 8 and Windows 7 recovery partition. I decided to try another new facility once again with the same result. I have a 3 TB drive, which has been cloned my original 2 TB disk. My 2 TB drive is wiped with 1 single partition and my new 3 TB drive has a system partition, the OS partition and a recovery partition. In addition, I now have a portion that is not attributed, that I'm unable to access and if I activate Windows finds an inevitable auto repair with no option but to remove the Seagate Software. My question is this, can I use this 3 TB drive as my main drive and be allowed access to all the data or I'll need to come back to used my original drive as the OS drive. I would avoid using my original drive because my new drive is faster.

This issue has been resolved itself, I have reformatted all my readers and did install a clean Windows 8. After reading on the 2 TB limit I found that changing a few settings in my BIOS allows me to use the full 3 TB in Windows 8. I tried to save the Windows 7 recovery partition which has been installed by HP, but thought to remove the partition would be the best option. After formatting the drive, everything works as expected but Windows did install 2 partitions, that I don't already know, it's a recovery of 300 MB partition and a 100 MB EFI system partition. I hope this helps someone else who may have this problem as well.

  • Stuck in "automatic repair".

    Hello from community support,
I have a big problem. I have Acer Aspire V5 with touch screen with Windows 8 installed which I upgraded to win 8.1. I've had for almost 2 years now, but yesterday, I left this download and slept. When I woke up, I found this stop (I got the charger is plugged) so I thought that maybe it installed some updates and restarted.
When I tried to start it I got the blue screen "Your PC had some problems" and it restarts with "Automatic preparation of repair", then it stops completely. Whenever I turn on the laptop, it does.
I searched the Web for each solution out there and most of them depend on the recovery menu options. And here my surprise, what on earth would a laptop manufacturer disable startup functions like BIOS? I mean I tried each function key on my keyboard with all the possible combinations with the Alt and shift keys to get the bios or even display the boot order or get the menu mode without failure, but in vain.
I mean, why would anyone do that? These functions are the saviors of life in some cases.
In any case, no use complaining now. I need an urgent solution. I'm a programmer and all my work is on the laptop.
    The circumstances are the following:
    -l' laptop is Aspire V5 - 571PG
    -windows 8.1
-Impossible to find anywhere windows product key on your laptop
-J' have a windows installation disc 8 (but with no product key) I also on a USB key.
-the serial number of my laptop is [under the direction of privacy]
-SNID [under the direction of privacy]
    Please, it's very urgent.

    I solved it
The problem is in the wireless adapter (of course an update has been installed and restarted the laptop). I disassembled the laptop and removed the wireless adapter, then I started the laptop and everything was fine and the windows loaded correctly. After that I again put the adapter and assembled the laptop and it went well. No refresh or reset necessary. No reinstallation necessary windows. No hard disk erasure.

  • Windows will not start and automatic repair does nothing

    Hello
I am on Windows 8 on my desk of game and encountered problems with the start-up. Whenever I try to start the computer, it does this:
    (1) prepare the auto repair

    (2) diagnose your PC
    (3) auto repair couldn't fix your PC
Whenever I try to click on anything in the advanced options it says I need to sign as an administrator but no accounts are displayed. He then tells me to restart my PC that starts the whole cycle again.
Is there a solution to this problem? I really prefer NOT wipe the hard drive clean as I already downloaded more than 200 GB of Steam games in the past few months and only have 35 GB per month to redownload the.

    Hi Hazza,

    Thank you for the update.

When you perform a custom Windows installation, Windows creates a Windows.old folder that contains your previous system files. You can retrieve your personal files from the Windows.old folder and move them to the customized Windows installation.

    Hello

    1. are you able to boot in safe mode?
    2. don't you make changes to the computer just before that this problem occurred?

Before we reinstall the Windows you can try the methods below.
    Method 1.
First check to see if there are external devices attached to the computer, if so remove and check.

    Method 2.
Start your computer in safe mode and then configure your computer for the clean boot and check if it starts successfully. If it starts successfully can be a third-party application or service is causing the problem.

We can use the approach 50 / 50 to narrow down the root cause of the problem. See the article below for instructions on how to start your computer in a clean boot state.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

Note: When the diagnosis is complete, don't forget to reset your computer to normal startup. Follow step 7 in the above article.

    I hope this helps.
