Automatic shutdown of the docking windows

I use several graphics programs, Aftereffects, Nuke, Maya, Photoshop... When I resize and position my windows they jump into a lack of home that often covers the major part of my screen with an empty window close. Is it possible I can get windows to go where I place them without resizing? Seems quite restorative to me, but I can not understand.

I don't think that the cause of the problem is the power management because it is set to balanced.

Usually, you can change these settings within the Windows power management.

  • Automatic shutdown of the virtual machines in the Update Manager

Is it possible to automatically stop the virtual machines as part of the Update Manager?  We have our virtual machines configured for auto power off/start with the host.  But when we apply a lot of patching ESX using the Update Manager, he waits for us to stop manually before putting the host in maintenance mode.

Any way to automate that? Thank you!

But when we apply a lot of patching ESX using the Update Manager, he waits for us to stop manually before putting the host in maintenance mode.

Lol WHA each fails to accomplish is ESX is an enterprise product, it must be used with vMotion.  If the Update Manager is designed to make this easy and pain free, so if you have the shared storage, your VM will migrate to another host, maintenance is done, and the virtual machine back.

ESX is essentially a hands on environment.  I know everyone can't afford a SAN, but ESX caters to these large enterprise systems that do not have SAN.

By making a patch, so we are now toward the Windows stand alone everyday server where you have done EACH server, or do it manually power off / closure of EACH virtual machine is EVEN easier to do this 1 by 1 on EACH physical host.

Consider so it cannot be the best option, it isn't that hard to select ALL VM under tension and click "shut down guest.  Besides that if you plan for a breakdown, you can stop the VM remotely (if windows) by using a shutdown script.

There are a lot of options to do this, but there is no stopping the VM before update, you must do it manually.

  • Page automatically resized to the browser window

Hello!  I am loving the trend having sites which pick up just about any window and build one for a client.  When I view in the browser it looks great, but I want to ensure that the site automatically resized for each screen size of viewers so there is no scroll from left to right.  My site will adapt itself to the size of the screen of each spectator even though my page size is set larger, or is there a setting I need to change?

What you ask is delicate design is not yet available in Muse... I would say joining the pre-release version of Muse.

  • My computer automatically returns to the classic Windows theme.

Whenever I log in, regardless of this theme that I had put my computer, it resets to classic Windows. When I connect, I can change the theme, but the setting remains only until I connect again.

    Hey Matt76q,

Try to create a new user account and then connect to that account to see if you encounter the same problem when a disconnect, then again in.

If the new user account works correctly, the link below will help transfer your data from the user of the old user account for the user account.

  • Automatic shutdown of the time does not work. I got him to turn off the computer at 23:00 and it doesn't. Help!

It's not I the children side to turn off the computer at 23:00.  They are not allowed to use the computer after that but it does not turn off as before.

    Hello

1 did you changes to the computer before the show?

    2. are you referring to Parental control?

Method 1: Read the following article and try to set the parental control again and see if that helps.

Control when children can use the computer:

    You can also check:

    Set up Parental controls:

Method 2: Restore the computer to a date when it was working fine.

  • Automatic shutdown of the PXI-1033 chassis. Noisy case fan.

I went to use my PXI chassis today. I always keep power, but today it wasn't on when I went to for use. It turns out that there is an auto power down if the fan "fails". So, I removed the power to frame and then repowered the chassis. Heard a loud fan - as one of the blades reached something solid. And I only heard something when the chassis in the sense of 'big fan down' is the big fan on the "merits" of the unit which cools the boards. To resolve this problem, I removed the air filter and then the wire screen and then wire fan guard. I rebent the 4 feet of the wire fan Guard (be sure to rebend both elbows on each leg) so that it is wider the fan blades. Put back to gether and now no sound.

Apparently my PXI chassis is part of a reminder "replacing the fan.

  • Automatic shutdown of the inactive applications

We have a lot of legacy applications that are regularly used by our group of users. These applications can be used once in the morning and then sat idle, with the memory and system resources for the rest of the day until what applications are shut down for the backup process. Is there a way to configure Essbase to stop applications that have been inactive for a while?

    Thank you.

    Glenn

There is has nothing built into the system to do this.

  • How can I keep the dock and menu bar in the window

How can I keep the dock and menu bar in the window

First of all, go to System Preferences and select general:

Under the dark menu and dock option, uncheck "hide and show the menu bar automatically".

Go back and select Dock Prefs system:

Make sure that "automatically hide / show the dock" is not checked.

  • Open a Finder window in the Dock

Obviously something, I forgot how to do, how very boring: temporarily place a folder (aka?) to the right of the dock, I want to click on it and open the folder in a finder window. As of today, instead of opening in a window of type column, the dock is covering my screen with large thumbnails of images in folders (I work with hundreds of graphic files). How can I convince them that these elements to simply open the appropriate window to dock?

I'm not sure that understand your question. If you want to display this folder in different way (once you click on it in the Dock), just right click on the folder and choose the option you want under ' content seen as '.

However, if you what you want is to open the folder in a Finder directly from the docking window, right click on the folder and press "Open..."  ». After you open the file, you can choose the view you want in the toolbar of the Finder or in the 'View' menu.

  • With the last update, I can't minimize a window by double-clicking. I want to cut a window in the dock, not hide all open windows.

I'm a Mac, set user updated to 30.0. Now when I double click to minimize the window in the dock instead of minimize the particular window open, I'm in I get a new tab. I don't find a way to simply reduce the specific window, only to hide all Firefox. I don't want to hide it, I want to only show the dock window is available not not open on the desktop at this time.

Suggestions did not exactly help (thanks for trying so fast however) except that to try, I looked in the Menu Bar "Window" drop-down menu and he was there: minimize-> order Mr. he does exactly what I want, reducing the window I'm toward the dock, where he sits with the icon reminding me that this is. Thanks for your help.

  • sound on laptop lost when it is connected to the docking station

laptop connected to the docking station and audio comes through the audio connection [headphones] on docking station.  No sound on computer

    Hello

    ·         If it works well before? If so, remember to do recent changes on the computer before this problem?

When you connect the laptop to the docking station, the default audio output device will automatically change to the docking station. Similarly, in the case of plug in the headphones on laptop. I suggest you to check if the audio device by default from computer speakers is properly defined. Follow these steps:

    a. click the Start button, select Control Panel, click hardware and soundand then click sound.

    b. click the read tab make sure that the correct default audio device is selected. (For most users, the default audio device is pregnant.)

    c. If your default device is not set to the right audio device, on the read tab, select the appropriate device, click Properties, click the Advanced tab and make sure that the default Format is set to the value you expect. When you are finished, click OK.

    d. on the read tab, select the playback device, click set upand make sure that the configurations are set correctly.

If the sound settings are set correctly and that your speakers are already set as default device, go to "Check if an audio driver is installed" now.

    e. Select the audio device you want as audio device by default, and then click set as default.

    f. click OK to save your settings.

For your reference, follow the steps described in the following link:

  • Script to hide the dock while using Adobe software

    Hi guys,.

I'm wondering - is it possible to write a script, automator service or something that hides the dock automatically at launch of Photshop exaple? It would be helpful since software Adobe is not fullscreen support.

    Thank you!

Does not "automatically hide / show the Dock" in System Preferences > Dock?
