Automatic startup on t410 problem

We have recently implemented a citrix VDI in a server of the box and have created several virtual machines. The virtual machine is running without problems.

To connect to the virtual machine, we use hp smart client type t410. These seem to work when "logon" is pressed manually on the citrix receiver well.

Some clients are however, simply lie being "spectators". This means that there is no mouse or keyboard connected. So what I need is the client lightweight hp smart to connect to the virtual machine automatically.

In the hp customer profile, there is an option 'autostart' under the root/ConnectionType/xen/connections / [ID] /. But when I set this option to 1, the client tries to start the virtual machine (he says that the virtual machine load), but shortly after, it seems that citrix receiver is blocked (I see the HP logo and citrix receiver is back on the login page).

I tried a lot of combinations of registry settings, but none seems not to work. Also the autostart parameter accepts values from 0 to 5, but it says anywhere what is the difference between 1 and 5. Could I be on? Should I go home from another angle? Maybe it's a known bug in the hp receiver client or citrix?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Apparently the problems were caused by the autoLaunchSingleApp parameter (although I'm not sure why).

By using the following parameters does autoStart works correctly:

autoLauncheSingleApp = 0

autoStartDesktop = 1

autoStart = 1

Also set the domain and credentials are required.

(all the above mentioned are under the root/ConnectionType/xen/connections / [ID] /)

  • Problems with services of automatic startup after Windows Update problem

These are probably related to many things I tried trying to solve the problem of Windows Update - until I found the answer to Fix It.  That fixed my Windows Update, but now I have these problems.

I tried to run the bat file that Sohail suggested in this thread: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistawu/thread/41f1d01e-e787-479b-83de-c66f40a23a37/
He ran with errors, so I suspect he undid some things and then they don't get put back.

Those that I know I need is:
    Windows Audio
    DHCP client

These two begin very well once the system is in place, but I have to do it manually.  They still claim to be automatic when I view in the Services management tool.

I also noticed that the following services are set to automatic but have not started either.  Is this a problem?
    Task Scheduler
    TCP/IP Net BIOS Helper
    Windows event log
    TPM Base Services

So, how do you restart automatically?

Problem posted in another thread to improved Performance.  Long story short - a repair settled with Vista DVD.   He fixed the problem of services, but the problem of Windows Update is back.

    Hi Barry,.

I'd be inclined to return your laptop to an authorized Service Agent Toshiba. The OEM software should not require all the updated drivers at this early stage of his life, and the unit will be well within its warranty period.

The closer your repairman details can be found on the Toshiba site.

  • ProBook 650 G1: Dualboot UEFI: automatic startup of windows

    Hello

I have a problem dualbooting 10 Windows and Linux (Ubuntu). I did another partition on my hard disk to install Ubuntu on. I successfully installed Ubuntu and normally, it restarts and show me the GRUB bootloader, but it didn't.

    It starts directly in windows.

I did a dualboot on this laptop before but then I had my motherboard replaced and now it does this.

I can boot into Ubuntu by pressing F9: boot the device options and selecting Ubuntu. Can I get the GRUB bootloader. But this isn't what I want. I want that he let him start directly in GRUB, not windows.

I also want to know how I manage my EFI partition. It is dotted with old. EFI files that are no longer relevant.

Years the last issue: I can't boot into windows recovery mode by pressing F11 in the start menu. It just freezes.

    Help would be greatly appreciated!

    -Ximici

@ximici: the following link provides information that should help you with your dual boot problem: install UEFI - tips

The issue of the recovery, the OEM recovery is based on the original partitioning scheme remain intact.  Given that you have modified, installing Ubuntu, that "broke" the recovery feature.

IF you want a way to restore the Win10 in its current state, so I recommend using a tool third-party imaging/restoration known as Macrium Reflect.

Macrium reflect (MR) provides a FREE version that can be used to image and restore partitions or drives together.

What I recommend is the following:
    (1) download and install Macrium reflect (MR)
    (2) run M. and choose the option: "Create an image of the partition (s) required to backup and restore Windows" to write a full backup to an external drive or USB key
    (3) use the option to create a CD or a USB startup key

NOW, you have the means to restore a full system that works for the external hard drive or USB key in a few minutes.

    Good luck

At startup, windows does not load and, I don't see a black screen says Disk Read Error press Ctrl Alt Del to restart. Upon restart, the same problem occurs. I managed to work around this problem by unplugging all my external hard drives USB, but this problem has never happened before.

Recently, I laid out my laptop due to a faulty internal hard drive. Windows has been reformatted and a new internal hard drive has been installed. Yet once, it never happened before that my laptop has been repaired.

    Hello world

But after a while, I noticed that the gauge displays the actual battery charge but showed the load that the battery had started. In the power management utility, the correct values are displayed. I am absolutely no idea on how this could be. I tried to reinstall it, but it doesn't seem to work.

Who are you talking about? Are you talking about the time it will take for the battery to run down, or the percentage of the life he left behind?

    ...

It depended on whether the laptop was pluged to the start (battery mode it displays the time and with the plug pluged it shows the percentage)

What I have now is to uninstall everything and after I installed version 3.31... It seems to work.

I have Quicktime player installed 10.4. Since the last update to iTunes, every time I upload a video, it automatically begins playing. Is there a preference which is not obvious to the value not AutoPlay?

Can you be more specific about your question? (I.e. What is the source of the video? What do you mean by "Download"? What app are playing videos?) There are several answers possible here according to your specific workflow.

    For example...

    1. Player QT 7 has a preference for "automatically read the sequences when open", but the X QT player does not work.
    2. Video files can have parameters of "Présentation" for "automatically play movie when opened", "enter full screen mode when opened ', 'Close automatically after playing' or 'Automatically leave after having played' drowned in that the 7 QT player will use for reading but the QT X player will ignore.
    3. Similarly QTL files have presentation options 'Autoplay', 'full screen', 'Loop', 'Quit' and 'Kiosk' when using under the QT 7 integrate the structure but not even open in the reader of X of the QT interval.
    4. On the other hand, browsers can use "FastStart" flags in the file or Web site programmers can code the web page in a perfect "Autoplay" setting that automatically triggers the playback of content online.

In short, there are many ways that a video can operate automatically and few can allow the end user to override this action according to the way content is created or which are distributed.

  • Startup BOOTCAMP partition problems

Hi, I've seen a few posts that are very similar to mine, but I can't seem to get to the bottom of this issue. Here's the background on what happened:

I ran El Capitan on a single OS X partition and decided to run Boot Camp Assistant and install Windows 10 on a new partition. It worked perfectly, and I have been using Windows and start back. So, I decided that I would create a new partition for easy sharing files between the 2 BONES using a Fat-32 file system so that the two operating systems can have read/write access. I did it with the disk sideways utility Mac and everything seemed to go smoothly. Also, I don't touch my BOOTCAMP partition, but took all the space for the new partition on the side Mac. Everything seemed fine... until I tried to start again under BOOTCAMP. Now this partition is not recognized as bootable, but it is accessible from the side Mac and everything seems intact.

I ran the command diskutil list and here is the result:

    / dev/disk0 (internal, physical):

    #: NAME SIZE TYPE IDENTIFIER

    0: GUID_partition_scheme * GB 500,3 disk0

My theory was that because the BOOTCAMP partition moved from 4 to 5, this confused sort of things. I decided that I loved not more to have the shared partition, so I erased it. Then I tried to delete this partition, but I am unable to do by using normal mode or recovery disk utility. I tried to disassemble and then delete in both modes. I scoured the internet looking for a solution and I am completely stuck. This seems like it should be a super simple solution, but it is frustrating that I can't understand it. I don't think that I've damaged or corrupted something and I just need to be able to start in Bootcamp.

    Help, please!

    Thanks in advance!

Still have not solved this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!
