Autonomous light WLAN AP 1252 bridge

I have a Cisco WLC 5508 manage several 1252 s in light mode.  There is a laptop on campus that has an independent network, but not wiring to tie it to the corporate network.  I have an another 1252 which is in stand-alone mode.  Could I essentially set up as a bridge with the same SSID and security to meet the enterprise WLAN?  If not, what are my options?  Best regards, Dee

That looks like one. Basically, you go take the autonomous access point and make the WGB configured to connect to your SSID. You can have up to 254 devices behind a WGB normally, which could be different with CUWN well. This doc should tell you the limits.

  • Where is the light of the HDD in Qosmio X 875?

    Hi all!

I just opened my Qosmio X 875 - Q7280 and immediately noticed that there is no hard drive light indicator status... at least where it should be.

Can you tell me where is it located (when it exists) or tell me what app can use to know when hard drives are working or not? It is very important to me.

    Thank you very much! :)

    This is not...

  • AirPort Extreme works with only a few devices

I have an AirPort Extreme 802.11 model ac.

It worked perfectly for about a month, but now, only a few devices are connected with it. These devices will be connected only after the opening of the AirPort Utility. My AppleTV will not indicate the network, but the message "no network connection. Your Wi - Fi network is not connected to the internet. Change your settings or select a different network. »

I tried restarting the AirPort Extreme and my router by unplugging and plugging back. I also rebooted AirPort Extreme internally by restarting in AirPort Utility. From now on, only my iPhone and MacBook Pro will connect.

Even with those who sometimes it will connect and the other will not.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

I would say that your extreme is autonomous from router mode in Bridge mode... He can do. A power failure caused to ruin the current configuration and replaced another... you must remedy by a complete factory reset and reconfigure correctly.

Before to do it tell us what model is your modem?

And you have the configuration of the airport in bridge or router at this time?

  • Can Qosmio F60 - I use a wireless remote control?

    Hi all

Is the remote wireless IR F60 support & if so how I enable it & will be all universal remote control work?
I am using my laptop as a media center & would like to swap between functions without my intervention.

    Thanks lantana aka couch potato

    Hello

Some of the notebooks Qosmio F60 are equipped with a remote control.
Take a look at the front of the laptop.

You will see the communication WLan (LED indicator
Close the light WLAN, you should see a window of irda receiver.
The irda is necessary to receive signals from the remote control.

If your F60 does not support this irda you can not use remote in this laptop.

PS: you can not use any remote. You must use another compatible which can be bought at Toshiba ASP.

  • How to activate on my laptop Qosmio BT?

    Hi friends...

I have a prob with wireless file transfer using blue tooth.
He says that the blue tooth is not on...
I checked the blue tooth switch and the power on option on the blue tooth setting...
Everything is done, but I stil get this mess. Can someone guide me it would be a mistake?

    Concerning
    Raja

For BT the use two things are important:
The WLAN switch must be in position ONE and orange light WLAN should be on
BT must be activated with the key FN + F8 combination.

This will not work if the laptop is preinstalled with all necessary drivers, tools and utilities.

So the question is: can you use FN + F8 key combination to activate the BT?

  • Equium L40: Cannot depend on the wireless Lan card

I tried to turn on my abilities wirelesss using FN + F8 as shown in my manual, however when I run a search for wireless connections to repeatedly get a message saying that the wireless features are not lit and it fails to correct the problem.
    I use an Equium L40.

    Any help much appreciated.

    Hello

I don't really know what you're doing wrong. The fact is that WLAN card must be turned on in the same way on all Toshiba laptops.

At the first switcher WLAN to on the situation and after doing this light WLAN must be turned on. After you do this using FN + F8 key combination and make sure that the WIFI is enabled.

So now you should be able to use the wireless network on your laptop card. Open ConfigFree application and choose RADAR to locate the WLAN in your area.
I do the same on several laptops at home (old and new models).

  • Powerline questions before you buy

    Hello

I plan to go to current line to increase the home network speeds (from 802. 11 g) and have a few questions before I do.

My planned network config will be the following.

4 PLE in total - 2 connect to Linksys WLAN routers (currently bridged) and 2 directly to the Macs.

I intend to replace the WLAN bridge by current line and still use WLAN to access wireless to different floors.

    (1) it will work?

    (2) for example PLE300 configurable for external routers which have several machines connected to them via LAN & WLAN?

    (3) I read machines Windows are required for the initial Setup. They are needed at both ends at the same time or is a machine for the network enough?

    (4) anything else I should be aware with this set - up?

    Appreciate your support.

    See you soon,.

    Saami

Depending on the configuration, you mentioned that it should work.

  • Updated standalone Cisco Aironet lightweight mode Access Points

I'm trying to convert a stand-alone Aironet 1200 in light Mode. I use the tool to upgrade v1.0 proposed by Cisco. But when I put the name of the recovery LWAPP Image (c1200-k9w7 - tar.123 - 7.JA2) in the tool window to update it doesn't work. It is said: c1200-k9w7 - tar.123 - 7.JA2 - LWAPP recovery Image file size is zero. But its size is 4.6 MB!

    Can someone help me?

Convert the Aironet 1200 of autonomous light mode follow the procedure set out in document http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/wireless/ps430/prod_technical_reference09186a00804fc3dc.html#wp23144.

  • Crosspost from PSE forum

I use the PSE since v1, all versions which I faithfully bought, installed and used for MANY YEARS on my PC.  I have a lot of time and effort involved in categorizations, marking, import dates, and all sorts of other data in the PSE catalog files.  I have also several distinct for work, home, indexing collections and catalogues of specialty stuff, overall, over 25,000 images all carefully organized.

I have finally give up my PC at home and buy a Mac.  Then I just go out and buy PSE to do this.  But where is the organiser?  What the heck is bridge?  How to preserve all data catalogue of PSE Windows?  Why the HELL do not these programs clearly compatible with cross - same name, same version, same logo, same manufacturer...?

I did not buy this program Photoshop images.  I bought it as organizing excellent catalog, spectator and mailer - which is precisely what is Windows of PSE.  Please tell me that I just rinse my money down the toilet.  Please tell me that I won't have to run Windows in a virtual machine to browse my collection of photos.

And why hell this program installs CS4 Bridge (near 500 MB in size) when Bridge CS5 (an another 500 MB) is already on the machine (I have Premiere Pro)?

    Argh,

    G.

And why the hell this program installs CS4 Bridge (near 500 MB in size)

When Bridge CS5 (an another 500 MB) is already on the machine (I have the first

    Pro)?

PSE 8 comes with 4 bridge, don't know much on PSE8 and less on

previous and no windows version. Always understood PSE for used Mac

a lighter version of the bridge which is probably the organizer that you mention.

The bridge is a fairly sophisticated file Organizer and browser but requires some

to understand and study before you can use the power of it. There are

a lot of video tutorials, just Google and start by AdobeTV.

You can have multiple versions installed on your system, but only at the bridge.

can use one version at a time. Œuvres of elements with the edition of CS4, CS5

    provides the Bridge CS5 version.

And have you tried to see if the bridge meets the previous sort.

Assuming that you have already created a return to the top of your collection of images as it

was under Windows, if not you need to do this first thing.

After this bridge point to the folder that contains the files, and then in the menu

Tools choose cache / create and export the cache.

Now let bridge is a work (it takes a while, but you can check that)

activity left low bar and see what you get up with.

If you used keywords and/or description in IPTC field to classify you

certainly be able to find all back.

Rating and labelling could also, collections, I'm not sure.

But if you have not only to come back again in Windows and choose the

collection and add his name as a keyword or description to use in Bridge.

  • A stand-alone 1252 can be converted to AP light?

I received incorrectly an AP 1252 (AIR-AP1252AS-E-K9 model number) and hope to convert to a light AP. But in the documentation for this device is missing in the list of devices that can be converted.

I am also unable to find a tool to upgrade for this model.

Is it possible to convert this device?

Someone on the forum used the last upgrade tool and siad, he was able to convert the LWAPP 1252. You can try it, otherwise here are the steps of another Member on the conversion of these ap:

Here is a method to perform the conversion.

    * Method 1: (Mode key) *.

    1. install an external tool of TFTP for example tftpd32 from http://tftpd32.jounin.net/ tool

    2. assignment of IP address in the range of 10.0.0.2 -.254 (Ex: 10.0.0.3) to the TFTP (your laptop or pc).

    3. download the IOS lwapp image on the tftp root directory. Use http://www.cisco.com or

    http://tools.cisco.com/support/downloads/go/IPCheck.x?defAdv=N&sftAdv=N&image=c1250-rcvk9w8-tar.124-10b.JA3&filepath=/swc/esd/02/crypto/3DES/281235915/guest&filename=c1250-rcvk9w8-tar.124-10b.JA3&advUrl=null&isk=Y&defInd=N&mdfid=281235915&sftType=Autonomous%20To%20Lightweight%20Mode%20Upgrade%20Image&optPlat=&relVer=12.4 (10B) JA3 & starts = 271159 & treeMdfId = 278875243 & tree_name = wireless

    4 rename c1250-rcvk9w8 - tar.124 - 10B .JA3 c1250-rcvk9w8 - tar.default

    5. make sure that you set the IP address on the IVB of the AP interface if it is not set. Set it in the 10.0.0.x range default is 10.0.0.1.

    6. connect the Ethernet port on the AP to your server TFTP (laptop)

7 press and hold the mode button and power off of the AP.

8 power back the AP while constantly maintaining the button mode for 20-30

    seconds.

    * Method 2: (Archive command) *.

    1. install an external tool of TFTP for example tftpd32 from http://tftpd32.jounin.net/ tool

    2. assignment of IP address in the range of 10.0.0.2 -.254 (Ex: 10.0.0.3) to the TFTP (your laptop or pc).

    4. make sure that you set the IP address on the IVB of the AP interface if it is not set. Set it in the 10.0.0.x range default is 10.0.0.1.

    5. connect the Ethernet port on the AP to your server TFTP (laptop)

    6. at the point of access, type archive download-sw / overwrite/force-reload tftp: / //c1250-rcvk9w8-tar.124-10b.JA3
