  The solution was to use webOS Doctor.

  webOS Doctor wiped the touchpad. So then I could installed androis without any problem

• Upgrade to webOS 1.0.2

  My Pre came pre-installed with webOS version 1.0.1 and chances are that is your responsibility. Here's a quick guide to make upgrades to 1.0.2!

  1. Click the Launcher
  2. Return on the 3rd or last page
  3. Strike updates
  4. Let the search for updates
  5. Download the update (time to download different depending on your 3 g signal or wifi connectivity)
  6. Install the update (it will take about 10 minutes)
  7. Fact!

  Which is updated? I'm not quite sure. Read something about Sudoku and clock radio apps

  While this works, I have another list of possible solutions, that should work (listed from simplest to most complex):

  1. close and reopen the application of updates.  Wait 60 seconds and try again.

  2. launch the application of device information and click Reset the Options.  Then click on restart.  Once the phone has been restarted, try again.

  3. at this point, restored as close to "out of the box" you can is suggested.  Restart Device Info, click Reset the Options, and then click clear partial.  FYI, this deletes everything from the files EXCEPT device placed on the device via USB Mode (the last option, Full erase this and takes MUCH longer).   Then try again updates.

  If all goes well, one of the above will work, you will be updated to the latest version (1.0.2, so far!) of webOS.

• Can't see all networks wifi on initial Setup

  There was a problem with my original Touchpad (it does), so I sent to HP and just received my refurbished model. However, when I start the initial setup and it asks me to connect to a Wifi network, none appear, even if my network and my neighbors are all visible & active.

  My network configuration has not changed since my original Touchpad, which connected very well, so I don't know why this one should give problems. Any thoughts? It is extremely frustrating that I can still use my new Touchpad!

  Following my previous post, I called HP, explained my problem and they sent me a replacement. The new (renovated) came in a few days later and it connected to Wifi without problem. I proceeded to the initial installation and have no problem with this new unit.

  So, for all those who still have a problem with an inability to see any Wifi access during the initial installation points, contact HP and explain your problem. If you are able to upgrade to 3.0.4 use WebOS Doctor, do this and confirm that your Mac address is all zeros. This seemed to be the point of triggering of a replacement for me.

  I have a HP webOS that when I try to download apps from the APP store, he says: 'Waiting for network connection' and never connects. When I try to use the internet browser for lookmup a site that I have to go through Google or Yahoo to join the site, I'm looking.  If he directs me to another page the 'massage of error"lights up and says"No. Internet Connection"and wouldn't go far until I hit the OK button in the middle of the screen. What can I do to fix this?

  Since you started this thread, I read carefully each one of them.   I've heard this kind of wifi problem before and suggested a simple way to try to resolve the problem.  Normal technical troubleshooting dictates that separate us apparent DNS from the router to the Tablet first issue!

  Not once you indicate already that you followed my suggestion to your terse reply above.

  If you have deleted and re-created the Tablet WiFi connection and still no joy, then it may be time to use a big hammer approach.  Clear the Tablet and start over or by settings/Device Info / or run webOS Doctor.

• Change of name on webOS

  Hello, I just bought an HP touchpad on Ebay. It works very well, but how do I change the name? The names of owners previuos is always on it.

  It seems that they have not wipe the TouchPad before selling.  You must perform a system clear so that you can start from the factory, as you would if you bought the new TouchPad.  To do this tap the arrow Launcher, tap the settings tab, tap on Device Info, press reset the Options and finally click full secure erase.  This ensures your TouchPad is back to the factory settings and the data of the previous user has deleted safely.

  This process will eat your battery like crazy, so I recommend leaving the touch pad that is connected to the wall charger.  It may take 30 minutes or longer.

  Once the TouchPad boats after the full erase secure, you will need to connect to your WiFi and it will ask you to connect with a HP webOS account.  If you have one, sign in with it.  If you do not have one, you can create it then.

• Impossible to update to the latest version of webOS POST HERE

  So, I saw scattered CIHI and out there of people who say that they cannot upgrade to the latest version (1.0.4 to date) of webOS.  To try to put all the world the question all in the same place, I will start this thread and close all others I see on the subject (and try to direct the random messages on here too).

  Please be sure to include the following information in your message:

  1. You have access to wifi?
  2. Have you or bring your phone in an EVDO coverage area (as evidenced by the Ev icon)?
  3. Exact measurements you follow and all (if applicable) error you see.  Post screenshots (press Orange + SHIFT + P to create a screenshot in your Photos app) is always nice.
  4. If you're NOT on 1.0.4 which your webOS version are you on? (Application of device information indicates that, so far, it should show this: 'VERSION Palm webOS 1.0.4')

• Mini iPad won't find new wifi network

  Recently, we got a new router and each of our devices picked up the network very well except for my ipad. When you go into the wifi settings it shows no network at all.

• 2 Air 10 iOS iPad dropping wifi

  I have an iPad 2 air in perfect condition, since it first came out. I have the cell phone/Wifi version with Verizon. My problem has been lately, when connected to wifi, the wifi shuts on the iPad many times when using, and more so at rest.

  Did somebody encounter this problem since upgrading to iOS 10 It is the only variable that has changed, I'm still using the same networks that I have always used for Wifi.

  Follow these steps to find and correct the problem:

  1. you must check your Wi - Fi router: check if other devices can be connected. This will let you know if there is a problem with your Wi - Fi router. You can restart your router and restart the connection to WiFi.

  2. make sure that Wi - Fi on and you can see your network

  3. go to settings on your iPhone > Wi - Fi and check if it is enabled. And if there is a blue check mark next to a network name means that your iPhone or iPad was connected to this network.

  4 restart your iPhone/iPad, router, cable/DSL mode

  5. If this does not help, reset your network. On your iPhone, iPad, got to settings > general > reset > reset network settings. This will reset Wi - Fi networks and passwords, cell parameters and VPN, and APN settings you used before.

  These measures should help.

• iPhone 7 - 10.0.2 - would not connect to wifi - got hot - DEATH

  I have an iphone brand new 7 (black) who has not seen a bump, the knock, the drop of water, or frankly anything that could damage it - always used with Chargers apple and cables only. I came home one day and noticed that my wifi woulndt connect. He would not even see the networks. The phone started to get hot and the battery percentage began to collapse, down 80% to 0% in about 15 minutes.

  When I tried to reconnect to the power, it will not even turn on, nothing, no display showing load or anything like that. Just completely dead.

  Ive owned every single iphone (except some S models) and have never had this happen. In fact, I could plug in my iphone 3gs right now and I'd be willing to bet $100 it load up and turn right into. Im just stunned, having given apple credit both for making bulletproof devices for years.

  What's the deal? anyone else having this problem? Ive looked online and I can't find anything. I have a genius appt tomorrow and Im prayer I can get a replacement same day. I have applecare +.

  If there is something wrong with the device, Apple should replace it. However, they have the final call, and no one here can say exactly what they will do. Given the age of the unit, I suspect that you won't have problems getting a replacement. They should have stock for replacements. I wouldn't worry.

  You may need to deselect Auto-Join and/or auto-connect on some networks in captivity. Otherwise, it may seem to connect for a second or two, only to disconnect immediately, leaving you without the possibility to open a session.

  I understand that after your wife 5 iPhone update and your iPhone 6 the new iOS, you both know questions in regards the phone doesn't ring do not or may not alert you to the alert notifications when you receive a message. I use my iPhone all the time and I count on the possibility of having my phone alert me for incoming calls and messages. We'll see what we can do.

  The first thing I want you to do is to restart the two iPhones. Make sure that your wife's iPhone has the ring/silent switch on mute.

  I was wondering if anyone else knows issues with WiFi connectivity since the upgrade to Sierra 10.12? I have not had any problems with connectivity WiFi previously on El Capitan. Now I have regular randomly loose connectivity. My internet is cable and when it is connected I have a 100% connection. My details of iMac and I have used only 10% of my storage.
