• Windows Autorun CD on iMac

  I have some photo CD produced and designed to run on Windows PC where windows 'Autorun' Star launches program to view photos.  The pictures are built into an executable file, but the individual. JPG image files do not appear to be clicked individually to be seen in the iMac forecasting program.  It is any option (s) that will allow me to see these discs or programs I can download in order to view records of photos like these on an iMac?

  OS X won't work for MS Windows .exe files unless the Mac has Windows installed on it. If you are sure that the CD has jpg on it, then load it on a PC, extract the photos and save them to another CD or flash drive, and then import them into your photo on the Mac app.

  In my Portege R700 there is no way to make autorun works (for key USB and CD/DVD as well). CD/DVD and USB keys work perfectely, but not the autorun.

  What utilities you have installed? Theoretically, they could block the autorun

  Normally if autorun doesn t work on XP, you can enable it in the Windows registry:
  Start > run > regedit

  The registry editor will open and go to:
  HKEY_CURRENT_USER / Software / Microsoft / Windows / CurrentVersion / policies / Explorer
  Double-click the NoDriveTypeAutoRun value and set the value of 91.

  Now he must navigate to:
  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / SYSTEM / CurrentControlSet / Services / Cdrom

  Double-click the AutoRun value and set the value to 1.

  Now restart your computer and try it again, usually autorun should work again.
  Additionally, make sure that the latest Service Pack is installed for XP (SP3).

  I have an update that claims to be from MS that says it will update the AutoPlay feature, but it seems it downgrade to the 1990s, by removing support for devices other than optical disc and add multi-step manual required to use some of the features currently available in AutoPlay.  Is this really the millisecond, and if so, what would be the possible gain by installing this upgrade?

  That sounds that you may need to run an installer for the game. Windows won't do it for you, if "_DISK1" (for example) doesn't have a file "autorun". Open "_DISK1" (or the installation of your game disc - aren't there any label?) and look for an executable named 'install', 'setup' or something like that.   SET AND START THE SHELL HARDWARE DETECTION SERVICE

  1. click on START
  2 type "services.msc" (without the quotes) and press enter
  3. scroll down the list, right click on the service "Detection hardware Kernel ' and click 'properties '.
