HP Pavilion 6500: authorization or license

Recently, I had to switch from Vista to 7 due to a virus and lost a preinstalled software (MS Office Enterprise 07).  I contacted MS and they told me it was a Volume License and I had to contact the dealer, who was HP since I ordered the computer online with updates.  I have a version with just a product key is valid, but I don't know how to get a viable copy of this software. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

  • HP Pavilion 6500 goes out when the power adapter plugged

My Pavilion 6500 (specifically dv6623cl) turns off when I plug in the power adapter. If I plug it in, then turn on the laptop, it automaticly turns off before loading windows. If the laptop is already started, and I can plug the power adapter, it immediately turns off. I can charge the battery without any problem, also while the laptop is turned off, but as soon as I turn it on with the adapter plugged it stops, I checked the battery through HP battery check and he said its good, he is holder of a charge very well and everything, the only change made to the laptop hardware wise was an upgrade memory I had no such problems until the upgrade of memory, but I do not see how it would affect the power on the aspect, in order to make a system restore, if ever, I need, the poweradapter must be plugged and theres other system functions that require the adapter complete, it is a question that must be corrected

  • Pavilion p001TX: lost Windows license key

I bought a pre-installed llicensed WIndows 8.1 compatible HP laptop. Recently I tried to dual-boot my laptop with Ubuntu 14.01 for educational purposes. By mistake I finished my whole hard drive, which meant that even the recovery folder wiped out formatting. I want to reinstall Windows 8.1 on my laptop, but I don't have my copy of original Windows license key. I bought the laptop to an authorized HP provider, but he says that the company does not provide a repair CD Windows. The license key is not located in the BIOS of the laptop, it is not yet available on any sticker on any external part of the laptop. What can I do to find the key licensing and re - activate my original Windows? Pease guide me.

    Hi @Rishi17 ,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. It's a great site for information and questions. I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion Notebook 15-p001tx and problems with product activation Windows 8.

Here is a link to product activation Windows 8.

Here is of little assistance from Microsoft as well.

    I hope this helps.

  • Download home basic System [operating system Windows 7 for my laptop hp pavilion 1118tx g6

My window has been courrpted and I have a house window Mobile 7 (hp pavilion 1118tx g6) core license. Can anyone suggest me where I can download the software instalation window 7 Home Basic... Thank you

    Hello

HP do not offer a download for the recovery media option, but there are two options available.

    1. you can order a set of replacement of the recovery media using the link below - it will reinstall the operating system, all the drivers, and almost all of the original software (the exception being often tests of MS Office).  They will also recreate all of the original scores, including the recovery Partition.

    Order HP recovery disks.

2 you can use the following method to create your own Windows 7 Edition installation family support basic 64-bit.

Before you try the following, make sure that you can always read the character product activation key 25 on your label Windows COA (5 blocks of 5 alphanumeric games).

An example of a COA label can be seen here.

You can create Windows 7 installation yourself using another PC. However, it not there no download directly available for Windows 7 Home Basic Edition, so you will need to download another version (one will do, but the link below is for Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit - the source is Digital River).

    Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit SP1.

For the key on your label of COA to work, you must now use the method described in the following link to convert this ISO to an all-version Installer - the section that require you to edit the ISO is Step 1 DVD universal (although you will create an installer from usb, the method to change the ISO is the same).

    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/85813-Windows-7-universal-installation-disc-create.html

Once done, use an application like Rufus to create a bootable Windows 7 usb flash drive.

Use the Flash drive to perform the installation, enter the activation key of Windows on the label of the COA in the request and one time Setup is complete, use the 'method of phone", described in detail in the link below to activate the operating system - this method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who want to just have a new installation of Windows 7 without additional software load normally comes with OEM installations.

  • HP Pavilion. It came with 64 bit Home; I have W - 7 64-bit Ultimate. It is:

I have a Win 7 Home premium 64-bit on the new HP, I just bought.

If I insert the W - 7 Ultimate/64 bit disc and cold start, it will attempt a "clean installation?" I don't want this option.

If I warm the ultimate 64-bit disc start, then he will present me with an option to keep the old files. I am aware of that.

But the question is do I need a new license key for the last month or it will work with the old key for Home Premium HP supplied with installation?

I got the ultimate from Microsoft as part of the Windows 7 launch party I wanted to my home. It was once installed on a new gateway computer. I returned it to the store for problems non repairable mobo and the ATU. 7 Win was on their hard drive. Therefore, the installation key went with the gateway.

I still have the drive to Win 7 signature edition / 64-bit with me. The same disc will allow me to install it again on the new HP Pavilion with the same license key that I used on the front door? Of course, I bought HP to another bank. So the hard drives cannot be exchanged from the gateway to the HP. I think that even if I did, it won't work because of the chipsets change.

Any help on how to make the Home Prem upgrade (64-bit) ultimate (64-bit) will be appreciated.

You can start only an upgrade of Windows, then it restarts and you can choose to upgrade or perform a clean installation... And then you will need to use the Windows 7 Ultimate product key to activate/use it.  You can install it again... The worst that will happen is you will have to take 5-10 minutes on the phone Microsoft if the key is not automatically activate via internet.

  • Reinstalling operating system on the HP laptop which has Vista, Win 7 family Premium and Windows 7 Pro installed.

I have a HP Pavilion 6500 CTO (?) vintage 2008 model.  It came with Vista Premium. It is the only time that I forgot to make a recovery disk, but there is a sort of drive partitioned D that could be disaster recovery.  Anyway. .. . . .

I made one of the first Windows 7 Premium Upgrade downloads (I still have the right to download a backup).  I also bought 6 months later any when upgrading to Windows 7 Pro.

I would like to donate this laptop to a member of the family, so I would like to start with a clean slate of the operating system and drivers of origin if the wireless hardware and other works.  Two Questions

    1. If I create a recovery disc in the current state of the computer to have Win 7 Pro loaded, format the hard drive and then try to reinstall the OS from the recovery disk, which will load OS - Vista or Win 7 Pro?

    2. see question 1 - it is the best way to offer a new beginning for the system with a reformat and reinstall OS, or is there a better solution?  As I said, I don't have a recovery for the Vista operating system disk.

    Thanks in advance,

    W!

The question is a little more complicated.  When he restores the computer to the original state, it also roll back updates to the BIOS, or are those left intact? Why ask?  At the beginning, on this model of AMD, I had a fan / overheating issue that has been resolved by updating the bios to set when the fan on.  I might have to reinstall this update of the bios of HP!

«mark the recovery partition as "active" and reboot, it will then start this partition and start the Recovery Manager»

The bios will not be affected.

the instructions indicate that I should go to http://commerce.bea.com/index.jsp and download the JRockit JDK 1.5 or more. Clearly these instructions have not caught up with the transition from BEA to Oracle.

How do you get the JDK these days?

    Thank you

The easiest way is probably to go to the [OTN download site | http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/jrockit/index.html] and download and install JRockit real time. The package includes the JRockit Mission Control and the JVM.

Note 1 - JRockit Mission Control and the XGCPrio -: Determnistic of the Pavilion may require separate licenses. You are allowed to download the songs, but check your licenses before using JRMC or the garbage collector deterministic in production.

Note 2 - we are aware that this download method of the JAVA virtual machine for use with other parts of the Oracle stack is going against the intuitive, we're working on the most obvious solution.

  • Pavilion AMD A8-6500: graphic upgrade

    Hi all

My son has a HP Pavilion AMD A8-6500 with Radeon HD 3.50 ghz graphics card.

It now wants to update as graphic says not good enough.

What our options are, what is implementing implement as buying a better graphics card or is it more complicated?

    see you soon

    Jason

    Hi there @Jason1966,

That the Forums are with you!  I understand that you are looking for advice on upgrading a graphics card.  I'm happy to help you with this.

Please report the number of complete product from your computer. Check out the following, if you need assistance with this information. HP desktop PC - how can I find my model number, serial number or product?  Once I got that I can give you more in the way of what to look for.

In general, you should know what types of expansion slots your computer is available. More recent graphics cards will focus you on PCI Express x 16 slots and their willingness to be a version or the generation of these slots.  If the motherboard has only Gen 1.0, and the graphics card is Gen 3.0, then the card would work, but it will run more slowly he would in a slot of Gen 3.0. So you want to look at the capacity of your computer's power supply. A common value is 300 W. Higher end graphics cards will be a requirement of minimum recommended power of 400 W or more, although there are cards with a lower requirement. It is always better to have a power that exceeds the minimum value. Also related to food some graphics cards require extra power of a specific type connections. You must make sure that your diet has these connections available. Then, make sure that the card has drivers for the operating system installed on your computer, and if the card is UEFI, make sure that your system has UEFI.

If all these parameters are filled between your system and the card, the graphics card should work, but there is never a guarantee, because each computer system is as an individual, once it's in the hands of a user. You may have already installed another device that is in conflict with this card or perhaps a software which does not get her drivers graphics. So long story short, it is not easier to just buy a better card, you need to do some research.

I hope this helps clarify the issues for you and if you find it helpful and useful, please mark this message as a solution. Bravo would be appreciated as well.
