  In Final Cut Pro 7, you can use editing > find command to search on used clips in the sequence. See if there is an equivalent command in FCE. Unfortunately, I can't determine that at first hand on my system. (In addition, if you are still interested whereas FCP X, there the so-called Timeline index which provides quick access to a list of markers, clips, effects, etc..)

When I did reinstall on WIndows 7, it created a WIndows.Old folder that stores all my documents, program files and everything. I also have a WIndows folder above that. If the Windows.Old folder can be moved to the Windows folder or separate them? Microsoft Office is also in the Windows.Old folder.

  If you have all this work and you have all the files you need - completely erase the Windows.OLD folder.

  If it makes you feel better - copy the machine completely for more security instead.

  In other words - once you have everything works as you like and know sure you miss not all the files - you don't need the windows.old folder at all.

• Can I change Clips Audio waveform display in the timeline panel to resemble CS6 in CC?

  I just changed my CC of CS6, and I don't like how waveforms of audio clips in the timeline panel look in creative cloud. in CS6 is show the waveform centered in the clip, but CC, he seems to have cut in half.

  I have change a scripted show and have the Visual cues when a line starts and stops was incredibly useful. It was very clear in CS6 because I could see peaks and valleys very easily.

  Can I change how the waveforms of audio clips in the panel mounting back to the way it was at CS6? I want it to be centered in the clip and not cut in two.

• How can I close a clip which is open in the timeline?

  As a prelude the CS6 on Win 7, when I have a clip open in the timeline panel, I do not see how to close, other than by opening a different clip. Is it possible to close the open clamp, leaving the empty timeline?

  Click on the drop down menu to mount options. Click Close or close everything and timeline will be empty.

  I've implemented a timeline that had four video tracks. When I added a fifth track I started to have problems. More specifically, when I put a picture clip or video yet on the fifth time track used on this new addition clip, existing clips on the third and fourth titles changed their position on the timeline in response to stretching the time applied to the clip on the title above. Why does this happen? I think the clips on the lower video tracks to do not move NOT in response to a stretch of time change for a clip on a track that precedes. How can I get to stay put during the handling of the duration of the clips on the slopes above them?

  The other tracks are just "ripple".

  To override the ripple, hold CTRL (Cmd on a Mac key) that you add, remove, or edit clips on the timeline.

• Easy solution to give each audio clip to 0 dB in the timeline?

  Hello people, I am working on a project that was originally published by another editor, I'm fixing his mistakes and redo a few things. One of my questions are, most of the audio in the timeline panel is maxed out at 6db and cutting the rest of the audio. Is there a quick and easy solution that would allow me to eliminate having to go and drop each audio clip down to 0db manually?

  You can go in the Audio Mixer Panel and lower the volume of the entire track. If there are additional sounds on the same track you want not updated, just transfer them to a track of quantity. Which solves the problem?

• Two clips of different screen in the timeline format

  Greetings!

  I started using the first Pro CC today.  Just practical put two clips on the Timeline, but each clip has a different screen ratio.  One comes from an old Tricaster, another coming of Avid's Media Composer.

  The first clip on the Timeline, it is that since the Tricaster, the second is that of Avid.

  Looks like the Tricaster recorded in a 3:4 screen report while Avid seems to be 16:9.

  The Tricaster clip shows OK on the monitor, but that Avid seems to have been "zoom in".

  How could I be the 16:9 ratio in a 3:4 ratio?  Yes, I understand there are black areas in some of the sides of the screen, but I'm just testing the software.

  PrPro defines a sequence by the first media placed on this sequence. Other media banged against this sequence with different proportions are resized simply upwards or downwards to "adapt". Right-click on the 16:9 clip and working with your scaling options until it seems as you want.

  That said... What is the frame of both types of media pixel size? There could be a problem where it would be better for the media from 16:9 to be your 'sequence' settings and media from 4:3 to fit on the scale.

  Can someone tell me how to insert a space between stocks or move actions in the timeline panel. I'm new on board, although I have some previous experience with Flash.

  I added a shortcut for it in the preferences.

  Change a name of clip / nested within the project does not appear on the timeline.

  I first pro CC and just load clips into a new project. None of the clips will fall into the program window or the timeline panel. I make a circle with a cross through it, when I try to drag and drop.

  I've never had this problem with any material in previous versions of first.

  The clips will play fine in the source window when I drop them.

• No audio clip names do not in the timeline

  In first CC, none of my audio tracks shows the name of the element.  The video tracks do just fine, but the audio tracks are just empty.  They play very well, but do not display the name of cip.  I tried to go through the settings but nothing seems to fix.  I tried to start a new project with different audio clips but still the same problem.
  Under first CC (with the last update) Mac Pro running Mountain Lion.

  In the timeline panel, select the timeline (wrench) display settings > display the names of Audio.

• I can link groups in the timeline?

  In collaboration with motion 5. Many groups are in the order in the timeline. I want to remove a specific group and that the run time be filled later groups.

  This opreration is available and simple with Final Cut, but I did find a way with movement 5.

• Keyboard triggers - can never overlap on the timeline?

  I have a character that has several keyboard triggers.  I have several forms of mouth, flashing, an animation of eyebrow and 2 pairs of eyes I swap between.

  I thought I could just my animation in a loop and treat each of them individually, but I find that all the triggers of keyboard live within the same layer of the timeline, so if I have an eyebrow movement that overlaps an existing swap of the mouth, mouth swap is replaced by eyebrow movement and they cannot coexist.

  I searched the forums and cannot find any discussion about this, so maybe this problem is unique to my setup, but there is no sense at all to me.

  I'd appreciate it if anyone could share suggestions or ideas because I'm in a difficult situation at the moment.  I was counting on the use of CA for a PSA I work on - and indeed I kept customers waiting for 2 hours now while I tried to solve this problem.

  For now, you need to add multiple keyboard trigger behaviors in the Panel of the puppet. Select your puppet of high level, go to behaviors on the right, click on + and select keyboard trigger. Do this for both separate keyboard triggers you want overlapping and then only one at a time for each arm.

  This will be fixed in the next version, where each trigger keyboard will get its own track in the timeline automatically.
