AVI files appear in black on the timeline, no video

I have a series of AVI files that play fine in Windows Media and VLC media player.  When I drop them on the timeline (Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 version 6.0.5), each element is presented as black - with the right length, but not video.  Can help you?

  • Director of Windows compress avi file when I put in the timeline

    Hello

I am doing a project where I need to build a Web site. I use camstudio to record the process (as a proof, that this is my own work). In any case, I have my first 23 minutes of film, and it is about 230 000 KB. I put it in WMM so I could edit the images (especially for speed it up), however, when I put in the time line, it compresses the quality considerably.

    How can I stop this?

I made a few screenshots, so you can see yourself (with the preview full screen in WMM)

The MPEG-4 movie that I imported into the timeline of video group Photoshop plays in slow motion. How to play at normal speed?

This must be a common problem. I would appreciate some words of wisdom.

    Thank you

    Victor

The only way to do it with Photoshop, is to right-click on the clip and change the speed.  So if the clip was recorded at 60 fps and you use it on a timeline of 30 fps, set the speed to 200%

Applications like Premiere Pro and After Effects (and possibly first Elements) allow you to change the frequency of images in sequence by sequence.   Photoshop is a tool very frustrating to use for video editing.  Premiere Elements existed comes with Photoshop Elements for a very reasonable price.  I have no experience with Premiere Elements, but I strongly suspect that this will be an order of magnitude better than Photoshop for video editing.

  • Problems with clips of blacks in the timeline

So Im with Premiere Pro CS5. I am a new user of this product. I recently recorded some videos with a friend on my Sony Cybershot and they downloaded on my Sony Vaio recently of news. I get everything I want in the timeline makes my re-reading of the workspace it and everything is fine, work on something else add a new item or what not and go play new nd some clips appear black, sound still works, but the video is in black, opacity is 100, I go through this tons of times , so I delete everything with this clip off the coast of the chronology of creation and re import, when I presented the newly imported clip preview everything worked except for the part, I had already used everything I cut out worked but what I really wanted to use was still black. No idea what goes on with the black clips?

    Here's another thing to check:

In the body, go in Edition > Preferences > Media. You will see an option called "Write ID XMP in the files during import;" is it turned on? If so, uncheck the box. Out of first and remove the .xmp files as .mpgindex. Let us know what happens...

  • No file name on audiotracks in the timeline

    Hey,.

perhaps I was spoiled, but I'm used to seeing the names of files on my clips in my calendar because it helps me to know what is happening and gives me a reason to spend as much time naming things properly...

I just upgraded to first CC (it was a big pain and was on hold with adobe for 2 hours) and updated my project file only to find; my video tracks still have the names of files on them on the top left but my audio is missing from names and now I don't know what are the components in 5.1 complicated changes...

Anyone know how to restore this?

    As Jim has said.

In the timeline panel, select the timeline (wrench) display settings > display the names of Audio.

    Hello

In my system, almost all (90%) icons of the folders and files have become the black square boxes. In addition, start button does not respond, control panel is a white screen. However, all files and programs are open and running normally like MS office, Chrome, PDF, etc.

I tried to boot from USB (which I have no DVD player in my system), it is not read it thus in error. Also it does not "cmd" as an administrator.

I deleted the iconcache files of C:\Users\[User]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer ' as suggested by http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_8-desktop/windows-81-desktop-icons-are-black-squares/b8ca17eb-44b6-4bbe-8945-d7499798e408.

    Hello Asif,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I imagine the inconvenience that you are experiencing and will certainly help you in the right direction to solve the problem. However, I would be grateful if you could answer a few questions to refine the question in order to provide you with better assistance.

    1. You did it any significant hardware or change software on the computer before this problem?
    2. What anti-virus is installed in the system?
    3. What is the exact error message you get when you start your system from a USB/DVD?

The question could arise for various reasons, including the corruption of system files, virus infection or a specific corruption of the user profile. In order to diagnose the problem, I would suggest trying the following methods and check if the problem persists.

    Method 1:

I suggest to start your system in safe mode and then try to run the elevated command prompt. If you are able to do it, then try to run a scan of the file system (CFS) auditor to check corruption of system files in the system. SFC scan will search for system files corrupted on the computer and fix them.

    1. Press the Windows key + X, click prompt (Admin).
    2. In the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:
      sfc/scannow

For more information, refer to this link:

Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files

If the problem persists, try the following method.

    Method 2:

You can run the Microsoft Safety Scanner to make sure that the computer is free of infections:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

    Note:
the Microsoft Safety Scanner expires 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.
The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

If the problem persists, proceed to the next method.

    Method 3:

I suggest to create a new user (Local account) with the permission of the Administrator profile and check the account number. Make sure that you follow the steps mentioned in the article: create a Local account and let us know the results.

Hope this information is useful. Let us know if you need more help, we will be happy to help you.

  • Horizontal lines in the saved preview AVI file

    Hi all

On another thread, I was wondering why I was getting an error message when you try to export and save a movie, but now I was able to get a temp AVI file after hitting enter and save a file preview, but this AVI file preview, which is normally the same quality of the full saved file I think, has horizontal lines in it that are very obvious compared to the original file... below are the screenshots yet sample to compare...

    File Clean original AVI 720 x 480 30 fps

    720x480avi_CLEAN.jpg

Display of the lines in this file first 720 x 480 30 fps AVI preview

    PremiereEXPORTED720x480avi_horizontalLINES.jpg

I have a file imported into the script and she will play opposite via setting the speed being set to-100 and it reads in the preview window properly, in reverse, when I click on the play button.

But when I do a "file > export timeline > film ' command I get an error message saying ' year error occurred while doing this film.» Error writing files (disk full)? " ... but my hard drive is nearly full, with more than 30 concerts left open on it... and my gadget to use RAM shows that more than half of my RAM capacity is not used.

But I got a temp Preview file generated after knocking entered to play the preview after I was not able to save and that ' s how I got this file... and I think that the temporary files are normally just as strong as the final saved files because they take so much time to generate during the preview by pressing on enter as they do when you export and save.

In addition, this process saved an AVI file of 8.5 gigabytes of file 1.5 MB AVI using the codec in CamStudio.

Another test using the MSU lossless codec produces a 3.5 GB AVI file which seemed better, but wouldn't you just play faster than about one frame per second after an hour and a half to save time.

Someone at - it solutions?... I see also that the new record of first shows a large screen size, but it was recorded at the same size of 720 x 480, as the original was.

    Thank you

    NuMetro

The hard drive uses a swap file, and the program creates files (such as the rendered file you use now instead of an export file) and in general, if you get the message that the disk is full, chances are that your disk becomes too full for the program continues.  You must check your hard drive with care and make sure you have enough space to work without this message.  There are discussions here on how to configure your hardware to the good editing (forum hardware).

The horizontal lines you see are "interlaced" lines... rather than being a "progressive"... file You can use mediainfo or gspot to see what your assets are exactly and then implement the project should match the one... and then export to match THAT... and you should be OK (once solve you the problem of hard disk)

  • How to burn on a DVD + R .avi file in windows media player or how to convert the file, so it can be burned

I'm looking to burn .avi files that I found in the torrent files downloaded using utorrent on a DVD + R disc.  I noticed in several forums that most of the people seem to have problems in windows media player.  Someone mentioned a program in Windows Vista that could be used, but I'm still in the stone age with Windows XP.  I took some advice and downloaded a program called ConvertXToDVD, but I don't know what to convert .avi files to in order to burn properly and play on a standard DVD player.

  • Windows Media Player (v.11) will not play my avi files!

This just started recently... today I imported my son videos on my computer and they are simple AVI files that I don't know if easily and easily play on WMP without problem, and they always until I just tried... I try to open the video and at the bottom, he says its "acquired codeq', but then the error message:"a codec is needed to play this file. To determine if this codec is available to download, click on help on the Web"... then I do. Then he said something like "module10: Opera" or something... I guess that means Opera, the browser, that I downloaded in desperation, since longer works also none of my browsers except IE 64-bit... (any other problem in itself!) but I've removed opera once I realized that it was just like the other browsers: non-working on my computer! So I don't know what's happening on here all of a sudden but its boring and I don't know how to fix it. I tried Quicktime and it opens very well but it is a black screen-no sound or picture. What is going on?! I used DriverCure reallocate what types of files are partners/open with this program, but that did not help. What can I do to view today's simple avi files? :(

Try google for a FREE video converter.
Use it to convert the format of your video to WMV format.
Now try to play in WMP. For the benefits of others looking for answers, please mark as answer suggestion if it solves your problem.
