• Vostro 3500 automatic dimming of the display?

  Hi all

  I found that my Vostro 3500 (15.6 WXGA LED display) is, sort of, automatically dimming the brightness of the display when the picture on the screen is dark.

  It is very easy to reproduce this: I just put the paper painted in black, and I can see the brightness gradually dim. When I open a window, mainly white, the brightness increases again.

  Is this a kind of "characteristic" (which I can't find anywhere and so no way to turn it off) and noted someone else?

  Operating system is Windows 7 PRO x 64 with the latest drivers from Dell.

  Interesting note: it seems that this behavior is present when Windows starts and loaded graphics driver. During the startup process, when the screen is black, 90% I did not notice the dimming. This would in my opinion a software about the behavior.

  My next test will try with a live Linux, to see if it's really associated Windows or it is somehow in the firmware of the screen.

  If anyone is interested, I found the answer.

  This is a feature of the Intel HD Graphics drivers, which can be disabled through the graphics card Intel and multimedia control panel, section "Energy conservation", by not checking the "Balanced" profile when on battery or AC power.

  By default, when a battery this profile is selected the gradation is located.

• Y510 backlight Auto Dim?

  Summer to give me an headache for the last month.

  How to stop the Auto dimming the backlight laptop when I'm not touching the mouse or keyboard.

  It's very annoying when watching videos or reading of the literature of confectioners.

  My eyes must constantly adjust to two different levels of light.

  I have looked everywhere on the net and in the system and we tried everything except installing third-party software because that should not be necessary

• Problems of 8700 Smartphone blackBerry in the dark.

  Hi I have a 8700 I bought on amazon that I have one contract sim so I am struggling to find help.

  As expected, the backlight of the screen turns off when not in use for a period of time. However when it is dark, the light from the screen not coming back upwards again.  To get the screen to go back to the top again once I tried pressing the power button, but that only turns on the backlight keyboard and the LCD display turns but no backlight, I can't do what I do in particular because it is dark.

  The problem does not occur in a bright room or in broad daylight.

  Is it possible that the phone think it is holstered?  And is it possible to replace it?

  The first thing to try when your phone behaves badly, it is a battery continuously:
  1. remove the battery while the phone is turned on
  2. wait a few seconds before inserting it again
  3. wait for the long end of the boot process (takes a few minutes usually)

  This clears most of the software problems that occur on the BlackBerry from time to time. You can also use Quickpull, a free application that simulates a battery pull without removing the battery: http://software.crackberry.com/product.asp?id=27660
  A battery pull gets lost when using the applications memory and clears minor software errors that creep over time. The blackberry is running an operating system just like your PC is running windows and battery pull is the equivalent of a reboot / restart your computer.

• Lenovo Z570 - how to disable automatic brightness adjustment?

  It's driving me absolutely crazy! This only happens when I run the laptop out of the battery. And when I go to a website with a dark background, the display automatically dims down.

  Then when I'm on a brighter site, then screen lights back up again.

  I want to just disable this option!

  Try to download the latest Lenovo Energy Management and then uninstall the software, reboot then install later and see if it helps.

  I am the owner of a 50L 7333 3D and I noticed that when there's a darker scene on TV, a person in a background dark / night or something, the overall brightness down a the duration of this shooting (2, 3 s).

  It is really noticeable when there is the station of TV Logo... He's going too dark is not because the scene is dark so there is less light, the TV fades in all and I can really notice when it does, for a fraction of a second that it is normal, then it fades.

  It's a bit sous-compensant, instead of clarify a dark scene, it it fades.

  I guess you have to change the option automatic light sensor and control backlight assets.

  When the * automatic light sensor * is activated, it will allow to optimize levels of backlight automatically depending on the ambient light conditions

  When the * backlight on control * is activated, it will control backlight levels according to different scenes as movement of the image, bright scene or scene is dark.

  Hey all the... my storm unlocks by itself after I click the button locking... the screen remains so forever.  Ive had this phone for a few months and just noticed this today.  Someone knows how to do ten this?

  If it is a new problem, there is one thing to try first to see if that solves the problem - do a battery pull.  Just open the back of the phone and while the phone is turned on, remove the battery for 30 seconds, reinsert the battery and wait for the phone to reboot (~ 5 minutes).  If this does not help, the next step is to check the settings of your screen.  Go to Options > keyboard/screen.  Check that your backlight delay is set on an appropriate delay time (e.g. 30 or 45 seconds) and automatically Dim backlight is enabled.

  See if a simple reboot will correct it. A reboot fixes more often the simplest glitches.

  With the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

• Computer laptop screen goes from top to bottom and back randomly.

  I recently bought a HP Pavilion notebook 15-n010us.  I have problems with the light constantly gradation from the bottom up and vice versa.  This problem persists regardless of the power supply or ambient light.  This model has an automatic dimming of the sensor for the backlight?  If so, how can I disable it.  If this isn't the case, I have a question/fault with the laptop backlight?

• Mac Pro mid-2010 & Tripple Head 4 K

  Hello

  IM currently using my Mid2010 Pro Mac as well as the default ATI Radeon 5870 1 GB, 2 x 1 Displayport, 1 x DVI, line 3 x cinema 30 "displays high-resolution (HD f).

  I would like to change this, since theaters have really worn out over the years (6) (backlight is dim and uneven). I have therefore two choices:

  -Get 3 x 27/30 "full HD Apple cinemas or equivalent

  -Get 3 x 27/30 "4K equivalents + adapters/cards

  Because I want to keep the new monitors with my next mac (maybe in a few years), I'm on the side of 4 k to be perennial. But there are two issues:

  -It can be a problem to find a video card (I found only one to drive 3 x 4 k: Sapphire HD 7950 Mac Edition 3 GB; 2 x 1 x HDMI Display Port) and don't always know about the refresh rate (60 Hz + would be good) and if OSX manages 3 x 4 k

  -Is it really feasible to go for 4 k with a Mid2010, or does not any sense?

  3 x LG 27UD88-W + 1 x Sapphire HD 7950 Mac

  (Plug 2 by DP, 1 HDMI).

  I still wonder about the refresh rate and if OS X 10.11.6 will take care of 3 x 4K

  There are actually three lenses, two (near the M logo) are sensors of proximity and to the right of the speaker is a light sensor (adjusts the backlight automatically depending on surrounding it).

• Brightness screen 7 HP slate

  I have a HP Slate 7 model 2800. My screen started dimming automatically when I open a book on my kindle, reading program. It works fine in other applications. There is no automatic dimming function and set the intensity setting. Is there a problem with the Tablet, or is it a problem of kindle program?

  If that dosnt fix then, you have been many to reinstall the application.
