  I tried to update drivers, bios, and windows 10. Nothing helps.

  One thing that is confusing to me is that in many guides/positions for other Lenovo products, I read. 'Lenovo settings' should have an icon for the backlit keyboard, so that you whithin this app/program could activate. My Lenovo settings app doesn't have this icon. It has many options to configure most of the functions for my ideapad 700, but nowhere in this program to find something on the backlit keyboard.

  I don't know if its removal for Ideapad 700, or in the version of Win 10 parameters of Lenovo?

  In any case my space cleary States my keyboard should have backlit keyboard, because it has the icon on the space bar.

  I'm starting to think it might be a hardware failure and if so I'll return it and get a new computer 700 ideapad.

  I just wanted you to know that I went back to the store and got a new Ideapad 700 15ISK.

  The current store (which still offers this model) does not list an optional backlit keyboard. The backlit keyboard part is not listed in the manual. It's as if they plan to offer that he decided to do not. About all you can do strip up to the motherboard and see if the header is there. Without that, it's a show-stopper.   Hello guys, I want to ask questions on my keyboard.

  first when I tried to upgrade to windows 10 always on backlight, and then I decided to go back again to 8.1.

  But when I finished the downgrade, the was'nt of backlit keyboard works even when starting. If vice-versa, the two windows now can not lit the backlit.

  So, is there any driver or program that I need to download to activate again the backlit keyboard?

  Because of the things that I had:

  1 reinstall the Lenovo Power Management driver

  2 reinstall the driver of Lenovo yoba management

  3 reinstall the BIOS

  4 reinstall Windows by using a recovery key (Windows 8 Original)

  5 Reinstall driver hot key (by Fn + space)

  6. the business Windows 10 64 bit upgrade

  7 reset all the BIOS settings

  I had read that Lenovo Z400 with 20220 model number does not come with backlit keyboard. But mine came with it, and I never let fall or damage my laptop anyway.

  As you have tried most of the acts to solve the problem, your only choice is to have replaced KB either by yourself, or by calling Lenovo.

  I make my own advice for the backlit keyboard. The new chiclet keyboard is slightly different from the old keyboards 7 rows while you will need to make some adjustments in all cases. The backlight function is a boon in a dimly lit environment. It is quite useful to do.

  Hello. I bought a HP Envy 17-j020us on ebay, used laptop, about two weeks ago. They said that it is only 4 months. I must say that it is a little new. In any case, they had updated to 8.1 Pro Win. I think that when they have updated they lost Beats audio drivers or something, because the sound quality, I really look forward to, is less poor and there is no equalization anywhere. In addition, the keyboard which is supposed to be an impressive show backlit to see... is not backlit.  So, I could be wrong... but I really think it's just a matter of some drivers or something simple because of the upgrade.   It is not easy to get the info. You know it's marketing decision which models will be available in some markets.
  What you can do is to check official page Toshiba Poland and check which models will be available in your country. I believe in the future Toshiba will offer models more and more and I can't imagine that u500 with backlit keyboard will be available in the future.
