Backup of the user's profile

I use Windows 7 Home Premium operating system.

I had my twice damaged user profile.

And I recreated a new profile from scratch every time, because I'm not aware of two of the three methods to use to fix the problem.

The third FixIt method does not work.

Now, as the saying goes, "once twice shy", I would like to preempt another case where the same problem occurs.

I would like to save my profile with all there so that if I meet the same problem, I can use the backup to restore EVERYTHING in the current profile, in a new account without the hassle of creating another profile from scratch.

So, first of all, how can I save my current user profile.

Second, how I restore my active user profile in a newly created account if it breaks.

Thank you.

Kind regards

I think THAT the guys at Microsoft would be able to say what did the Vista update
To be honest I m running Vista updates too, but my computer and all my profiles are not affected

However, what you could do is to put the OS up to this early time using Vista's system restore.

    Corrupted user profile

I have a corrupt user profile.  Windows XP. When I add a new can be the same, or should be different.  And the user's profile should match the user ID?

If the profile has recently become corrupted, you can probably get the same user by performing a system restore operation:

"Windows XP problems if your profile is corrupted"

Otherwise, you will need to create another user and copy your data.  The simplest procedure is here:

  • Copy the user default profile problem profile

I am trying to copy a user profile to the default profile for all users who log on will have the same parameters as the user.
I used the built in tool copy of profile under System Properties > advanced > settings...
For all copies fine except some program registry keys still point to the original profile rather than the newly created on logon profile.  This seems to work without problems under XP but in Vista it fails every time.
Is there a new way to manage default profiles, that I don't know?

    Kleenex82,
Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Answers community forum.

CopyProfile Specifies if the default user usually stored under C:\Users\Default profile is replaced with the profile of the currently logged in user. You can use this parameter to copy the settings of user profile in all user accounts created on the destination computer.

Use the following steps to define custom user profiles:

Connect you as the user whose profile you can customize (for example, the built-in Administrator account).

Customize the settings of the user profile of your choice.

    Set the CopyProfile to true.

Run the command sysprep / generalize to copy the custom default user profile user profile settings.

All subsequent user accounts created will have the customizations that you set. For more information about Sysprep, see the Sysprep technical reference in the Kit OPK (Windows OPK) user's Guide.

This setting does not copy the profile of the built-in Administrator, unless the built-in administrator is the currently logged-on user.

  • Error "cannot load the user's profile.

    user profiles

Due to a system restore after doing this process when I tried to connect, I get a message "Unable to load the user profile" help please!

Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.

NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.

Read all the info on the website on how to create and use:

    ISO Burner:http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html

It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.

You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.

It is NOT a disc of resettlement.

  • Display of a field on the form of the user's profile based on the results of another field

I have a requrement in which I'm supposed to display a checkbox based on the selection of the value to the employee type drp down.

  • Select the user's profile

IV been with FF on my lappy for years, now all of a sudden, when I try to start FF he asks me select a profile of user the following options:--

    - default
    - default-<number>

This annoyed me no end, its bad enough that FF will update the controls and settles on the startup, but now this?

Occurred for the FF developers that when pop users open a browser, we need to snap open, we have always ridiculous wait time amounts so that it starts. What happens if Im check the timetables of the bus - Id miss the bus. Or the time Iv in conference and needed a quick Web page - embarrassed! Both need FF Iv times and she could not be there for me in time. If I wanted a huge delay and/or additional tasks between clicking on open and opening then Id of course get some ridiculous instead adobe products.

in any case as much as I like and love FF I have unfortunately closed to him for this reason and use Chrome instead. Ill check every now and then to see if the choice of a user profile error has disappeared.

Thank you for breaking my heart.

I solved my problem by changing chrome.
Thanks for your very technical responses and imagine the simple question of why my browser always let me down when I need it in an emergency by performing updates or some other rubbish at the start.

  • Cannot connect to the user's profile, can't remember the password

I bought my HP Pavilion laptop of series g, almost 2 years ago. It worked perfectly until 2 days ago. When I woke up yesterday and went to the opening of session of Windows 7, I get the following message "the service user profile the logon failures. User profile cannot be loaded. »

    What should I do?

    Hello

    You can try the following.

Shut down the laptop.  Tap away at f8 that you start the laptop to enter the Windows Recovery Console.  Use the arrow keys to select Safe mode and press ENTER.  If windows will load in this mode, on the Start Menu, click principally made programs, click Accessories, click System Tools and run the system restore.  Choose a restore point at least 24 hours prior to the issue of logon and then proceed to the restoration.  When you are finished, Windows will restart as normal in order to check if you can now connect correctly.

Another option if the above does not help is as follows.

Shut down the laptop.  Tap away at f8 that you start the laptop to enter the Windows Recovery Console.  Use the arrow keys to select "Start using last good known Configuration" and press ENTER.

I changed users and passwords, but when I send photos etc happens again like C:\Users\Ric\Pictures... Ric's my exes name and would really like to get it out of there without having to transfer and save 1 million files. Is this possible?

Create a new user account and start using it.  Changing the username doesn't change not all directories and others.  Creating a new user name and connect to the help that will be.

If you have any "setup" as you want - you can use the Windows Easy Transfer Wizard to export the profile and then import the profile into the new account (the machine is OLD and NEW machines and you should use advanced options for the transfer of information BACK so you can choose the new account that you created and connected at the same time).

  • Is there a widget to the user membership/profile?

Is there a widget to have users sign up and have a profile on a site of muse?  I know there is wufoo, but it's just for forms, it does not create a usage profile.

This is a great question and I'm so curious - configure a member with connections etc. on MUSE site using www.sentrylogin.com

You have a free trial version on their part and they are cheap - basically the site will give you a box of username and password - and in the background, you can see how many members you have etc - technical support team is really great, so ask a question if you want.

hope this helps - I wish that we had more options for this feature.
