I placed blank DVD-R discs in drive E and she cannot finish the backup. I can not change the configuration or save it on a USB key I either. Could someone help me. Thank you. Barbara
Hi Barbara,
(1) what is the exact error message you receive when you try to back up?
(2) do you get an error message when you try to change the configuration of backup?
Method 1: Put the computer to boot and then check to see if you can save
Follow step 1 in the link below,
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Important: n ' forget not the computer to start normal follow step 7 in the link.
Method 2: You can follow the steps described in the article below
Note: CHKDSK would attempt to recover bad sectors on the hard disk, in the course of this process there are chances of DATA loss from that particular area.
Method 3: You can run the fixit available in the article below and check to see if that corrects the problem of backup settings
See the article below, which deals with a similar question

The intermediary is hp Workstation (for the latest software and drivers, see using HP)... Please suggest me what should I do? How I will proceed with my idea. XP Professional has a GRAPHIC software that conforms to my profession as a Finance consultant, this software under Vista is not so complex and not being is not my goal. The size of the base operating system Windows Vista on my Aspire 3680 2682 is larger than 20 GB, is this normal?
Hello
Yes; It's normal.
In addition to the original operating system, you have updates, restore points of the system (set at 15% of the capacity of the hard drive) etc, etc.
It will continue to grow.
If you are worried about anything whatsoever, do a disk cleanup.

* Original title: upgrade
I want to upgrade to a newer Windows operating system Windows Vista Home Pro 64-bit. What is the recommended procedure? I see that Windows 7 or 8, a free update to Windows 10 is offered. Should I buy 7 or 8 then you spend 10 or just buy 10?
Thank you
Jim
Hello
Depends on hardware configuration required on later operating systems, and also find out if the manufacturer of the laptop computer is supported and provides drivers for operating systems later as to whether it is possible or feasible to upgrade or not.
There is no free upgrade Vista to 7, 8.1, or 10.
Follow these steps before you buy Windows 7.
Microsoft sells more than 7; Try Amazon.com.
Go to your computer / computer laptop manufacturer Web site and see if Windows 7 drivers are available for your make and model computer / laptop.
If this is not available, Windows 7 will not properly work for you.
Run the "Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor.

Try Amazon.com, etc.
Check if the manufacturer of your computer/laptop has Windows 8.1 drivers available for your model.
If this is not available, Windows 8.1 not install and work properly for you.
There is a lot of information in this first link from Microsoft:

Im trying to install drivers for a Nvidia Geforce GTX 260 on my windows vista 64 bit computer. Every time I have try and start the download, it is said that my driver is not a 64-bit driver, which is false, and that my system is 64 bit, which is true. SO... after I click 'OK', it begins to download only to have another pop-up saying "Setup has detected that the system in use is not windows vista 64 bit" which it is. Basically its contradiction with himself. im confused.
Im running windows vista 64-bit.
I just upgraded to a Nvidia 9800GT, to a Nvidia GTX 260.
In frustration, I deleted all the old drivers, but the new will not download.
The first error says that the drivers are not 64-bit.
The second error indicates the operating system is not 64-bit.

Do not open programs after installing Windows update operating system Windows Vista
Original title: MS Office programs do not open after installation of Windows update to Windows Vista operating system
After having decided to install the Windows Update my computer told me was available all my software as my programs MS Offfice is no longer open. I don't know what to do. The only thing that still works is the Windows Media Player. I can't open Word or Excel, I can't access my photos. Open Internet Explorer is like a weird nightmare but I am able to access the Internet. I tried reinstalling my MS Office software, which did not work. I have no idea what to do to solve the problem, but I need my computer back. It was good except for its slow, when I open certain programs, now I can't access something. Any ideas what I should do to correct the nightmare?

I have Windows Vista OS with Word 2007 (bougth with my new machine). Previously, I have Windows XP with Windows 2003. I would like to keep Word 2003 and which have to be my default program. How can I do this? I have still my Windows XP disc - should I reinstall? What are the risks/disadvantages to return to Windows XP? Thank you.
"Windows XP with Windows 2003? You mean Office 2003?
Microsoft Office 2003 is Vista Compatible and supported by Microsoft.
Uninstall Office 2007 > install Office 2003 using the Office 2003 disc.
If Office 2003 is an office retail license, it can be transferred to another computer.
If Office 2003 is part of Office/XP agreement of the manufacturer of the computer, it is classified as an OEM license and is non-transfereble to another computer. If you have problems uninstalling Office 2007, read this:

I need help reactivate my Adobe Photoshop CS (version 8.0) after upgrading my system Windows 10. The procedure provided by Adobe when I try to open the app does not work.
CS2, Acrobat 7 + Audition 3 (AND PREVIOUS) activation server has disappeared, then read below
You MUST use the special version and the serial number on the page, not your original drive or serial number
l http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/Policy-Pricing/Creative-Suite-2-activation-end-Life.htm
NOTE that CS2 will not install on a Mac "modern" with an Intel processor, and when you install the special version of the PPro2 on a Win7 computer Win8 or Win10, you may need to right click on the program icon and select Windows XP compatibility in the popup of option
In addition, that the software is old enough so that it does not work with Windows 10... but
An idea that MAY work to install or run some programs in Windows 10 old... works for some, not for others

I bought a Dell Latitude D830 since April 1, 2011 who came as advertised, Windows Vista and Microsoft Office Small Business 2007, I have two installed product keys and I have also reinstalled the programs from scratch and registered programs installed under my name, since I bought the computer on ebay with both promas installed as advertised. Please let me know what I need to do or what I've done is correct.
I would verify that the product key that came with the computer are legitimate keys and not counterfeit.
