Backup set will be locked until the restoration...

Get this message:

31/03/2010 08:01:35: backup set ' / SCSI-0:1 / "will be locked until the point of restoration with errors are removed and succeeds to verify integrity.

I'm trying to run a check of intergrity and it seems to keep running then it starts anywhere.  Don't know what's going on.  Back-end disk is a volume mounted via NFS openfiler, drive size is about 500 GB.  Don't know how much int├⌐grit├⌐ he thinks he must run it as like I said, run, ends and then another seems to start?

First of all, are your 1.1 VDR running?  If this isn't the case, please update!

Once you do, you must mark the points to restore damaged through the tab restore - click it, expand all virtual machines so that you can see all the restore points.  Select the restore points that carry the damaged brand and select this option to delete.  Then run the check of integrity again - this should remove these damaged restore points and unlock the backup set.

Thank you

  • TB stops the downloading of emails and will not again until the computer is restarted

    This started happening about a month or two it is a. TB will be fine and download my email. Then he no longer do. It will act like it is tempting, but nothing happens. If I close and reopen, it will not download. When this happens, the only way he'll do it again if I restart my computer. Sometimes daily, sometimes what happens every 2-3 days.

    It has nothing to do with my mail server, that I am downloading. My HDD is running less on space (a still near 60 GB free), but I don't see how that's the problem because it works great even on reboot. It happened after compaction, but not all the time. I regularly delete files from the Recycle Bin.

    Everyone knows this, or have thoughts about what can be the cause of this? He could have something in one of the improvements?

    It has no impact emails, just empty the cache part then you feel safer. I guess the chat conversation may be deleted. I do not use cat myself.

  • I have to keep each backup set or only the most recent

    Original title: backup sets

    I use backup and restore to make a weekly backup of my files.  A new set of files is created every week, but the size varies.  Each new set of backup files is complete or each new lot only contains the updated items?  I have to keep each backup set or just the most recent?

    Hello

    It depends on what type of backup you do?

    If you did a full backup of the system simply perform a differential or incremental backup on a regular basis.

    Differential backup

    A differential backup copies files that were created or changed since the last normal or incremental backup. It does not mark files as having been backed up (in other words, archive attribute is not cleared). If you are performing a combination of normal and differential backups, restoring files and folders requires that you have the last normal and last differential backup.

    Incremental backup

    An incremental backup backs up only files that were created or changed since the last normal or incremental backup. It marks files as having been backed up (in other words, archive attribute is cleared). If you use a combination of normal and incremental backups, you will need to have the last normal backup set as well as all incremental backup sets to restore your data.

  • Restore database HRCS90 question: until THE TIME which was before the RESETLOGS

    People,

    Hello. On December 2, 2013, I backed up my instance of database with RMAN with Oracle Linux 5 HRCS90. the backup of the database to run correctly. 2 files 'full_0doqhbqc_13_1' and 'full_0eoqhce9_14_1' are saved in the /backup_database_instance_HRCS90 directory.

    Because my HRCS90 database has been damaged, I need to restore the database to HRCS90 until the time 02-Dec_13 when it is saved. I have run the commands below:

    RMAN > RUN {SET until TIME ' to_date (February 12, 2013: 00:04:56 ',' DD-MM-YYYY: HH24:MI:SS') ";} RESTORE THE DATABASE ;}

    Its release: complete the restore to February 11, 14.

    SQL > alter drop database datafile offline 121;

    Its release: alter database.

    SQL > alter database open resetlogs;

    Its release: alter database.

    SQL > shutdown immediate;

    SQL > startup;

    Its release: mounted database. Open database.

    So I can execute select * TableName off HRCS90 the database successfully.

    Because the HRCS90 database is corrupted again, I need to restore it again on December 2, 2013. I have run the commands below:

    In the directory/u01/oradata/HRSC90 /:

    [user@linux HRCS90] $ rm *.dbf

    RMAN > Connect target;
    RMAN > RUN {SET until TIME ' to_date (February 12, 2013: 00:04:56 ',' DD-MM-YYYY: HH24:MI:SS') ";} RESTORE THE DATABASE ;}

    Its output:

    RMAN-03002: failure of the set command
    RMAN-20207: until the RECOVERY WINDOW, which was before the RESETLOGS.

    My questions are:

    Is that mean 'UNTIL TIME' before the RESETLOGS? How to solve the problem to restore the HRCS90 database?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Backup cancelled in Windows 7 when the computer is turned off.

    I use Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit operating system.

    Periodically, the Action Center will display a message saying that I have to do a backup, what I do before turning off the computer. However, when I reboot the computer, I discovered that the backup has been cancelled.

    I have searched the web but can't find information about how to make the computer shuts down automatically once the backup completed successfully.  Does anyone have a solution?

    The backup has been working in the past?

    Have you ever attempted an upgrade to Windows 10 and then back to Windows 7?

    For example let's say you have your backup scheduled task to run at midnight...

    If your computer is stopped at midnight, the backup does not - because the computer is stopped and the task was "missed" because the computer has been shut down.

    If you have the backup task configured on "Run as soon as possible after a regular departure was missed":

    When your computer working again missed backup task starts automatically.

    If you have your scheduled backup job to run at midnight and your computer is in "Sleep" mode, you have the task configured to wake the computer to run the backup:

    This won't work for wake up the computer if it is in "Sleep" mode  It will not work if the computer is in hibernation or if the computer is shut down.  As you can be awakened from sleep, the computer can be awakened from sleep, but you can't be awake if you're dead (stop).  You have to sleep to being awake.  You can be awake if you're dead or hibernation.

    The 'problem' with this approach is if the computer wakes up and runs the backup it will continue to function and you don't want that.   You can the computer to wake up, run the backup, and then click Stop (or to go back to sleep) when the backup is complete, and you can configure to occur in two different ways.  If that's how you think you want things to work ask the question in the right way, and describe how you want things to work.

    If your computer is in hibernation or stop the scheduled backup will not work until the computer working again and realizes that he has missed a task... then the backup will run - if you have the task set to do as the first example.

    Depending on certain factors that have nothing to do with Windows there are ways to make your computer start at a certain time of the hibernation or shutdown (mean 23:55) so it will be quick and then the backup will take place at midnight but will continue to operate your computer unless you include an additional step to stop the system again when the backup is complete.  These things are not exactly automatically built into Windows, but there might be ways to do things the way it works.  If that's how you think you want things to work ask the question in the right way, and describe how you want things to work.

    Find how to solve is often a matter of the question or stating the problem clearly there is no guess, no things difficult and none of these proceedings of the wild goose.

    What is the problem with the way your backup works now?

    What part doesn't work the way you think it should work?

    How do you think this should work?

    How it works?

    If your computer is turned off (off) do you want that it to wake up itself, run the backup and then stop when the backup he fill?  You can do it if you want, but it takes an extra effort and has a few requirements outside the Windows operating system.

    The task of the example above is set to run every Monday at 09:00.

    If my computer is running at 09:00 on Monday, the backup will start and run Monday at 09:00.

    If my computer doesn't work at 09:00 on Monday, the backup will run as soon as possible after the computer restart us and that's fine with me.

    I do not use sleep or Hibernate so I don't have to worry about how get the copy backup to run under these conditions.

  • prerequisite status bar - will not pass until v28

    So, updated to 29 on machines as well my Win7 and XP before I realized the problem:
    .
    Mozilla is hell decided to hide things from me.
    .
    Read another discussion (now closed) the loss of the status bar. I think this is the first time where they pronounce the dead status bar. Tried the tools-addon toolbars display and he's not here.
    .
    Then, returned to 28 and will stay there until the status bar is returned or if it becomes so outdated that I'll have to go back to IE.
    .
    On my Win7Ult machine, it was easy - just the latest restore point until I installed 29 and he was there. Don't wotk on XP, but fortunately, there is an FTP site that has copies of each version, you can think of. I chose the last eng - us. 28 and installed more than 29. I was surprised that the installation did not notice and balk at it. also surprised it didn't crash and burn, but I write that this on that now and everything seems OK.
    .
    So, you ask ' where is the issue?
    .
    It's this: the status bar is the darling of the overwhelming majority of Windows programs. I think it's like the third time, they stole my status bar. Flying the status bar is proof positive that Mozilla hate its users - by moving all that used to be on the status bar of varied and diverse places, they actually chose to hide things from their users and I find it unforgivable beggars belief. For example, they say that he moved "add ons" to his own 'addon' toolbar, which is NOT enabled by default. You see, they were hiding in it. MY QUESTION IS - how DO I GET MOZILLA to STOP DOING the WRONG THING and return my browser to the way I like it. As I said in the topic "status bar is a requirement for my support. do not write new that I have to accept or lump it. I'm on "strike28" until the status bar is returned. "If this isn't the case, then I'll go WHERE EVERY OTHER BROWSER VALUES THE STATUS BAR LIKE I DO." As a side note, several months ago Thunderbird made a really weird security update which has destroyed my ability to send emails. I am now a happy user of web mail, and nobody's trying to destroy my ability to use their product. If they had a 'intuitive changes', it would be different things, but is hiding that you're used to seeing in a place of THAT ENTIRE INDUSTRY agrees, it's the death knell for my interest, if not the product itself. If a large enough turmoil cannot be generated, so it's probably not my kind of product in any case. CIAO.pcGnome

    The real status bar has been removed from Firefox (from Firefox 4)more than 3 years ago and was replaced by the bar of the add-on that is now gone, too. Get over it already!

    There are a number of extensions that restore the bar Add on.
    https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/addon/status-4-EVAR/
    https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/addon/the-addon-bar/
    With the extension Classic theme restaurateur cor - el mentioned 3 months ago, when this thread was started.

    Firefox will never be "finished". As the web evolves, the combination of the devices used to access the web is changing, and as the Mozilla developers decide to add or improve features of Firefox, Firefox will evolve and change.

    Bottom line is, if you want a "status bar" you have a number of choices for the installation of a "status bar" in versions of Firefox 29 + via an extension.
    Or you can continue to use Firefox 28 and live without the security updates that are released every 6 weeks with each new version of Firefox.
    Or you can install a 3rd party that is based on Gecko version.

  • Backup Windows will not open

    When I try to start the Windows backup or by going into Start Programs/Accessories/backup or by double-clicking the backup file, I am interested in the restoration of I get a small blank window with the title "backup utility".  The Task Manager shows that the ntbackup.exe process is running, but it is does accumulate no time CPU and do no readings or writings.

    I will try to reinstall the program, but since I have XP Pro instead of XP Home my Windows CD doesn't have the '\ValueAdd\Msft\Ntbackup on the CD folder '.

    Any suggestions on why ntbackup.exe behaves this way?  Is it possible to get the installer ntbackup so I can reinstall?

    I don't know if it's important or not, but last year I installed Norton Security Suite, which includes its own backup utility.  Unfortunately, its default filters save the Directory Application Data that I need to restore, where my need to use the utility backup window.

    Hi MalcolmDavis,

    The Windows backup utility is already built into Windows XP Professional. Try these steps and check the result.

    Step 1: Run SFC (System File Checker) scan to see if all the system files are missing or corrupt
    a. Click Start, click Run, type cmd and click ok.
    b. at the command prompt, type sfc/scannow and press ENTER.
    c. If you are prompted, enter the Windows XP CD in order to complete the scan.
    Note: The version of the service pack on CD must match the version of the service pack installed on the computer.
    d. restart the computer and check the difference.

    See Windows XP Scan SFC

    Step 2: If the problem persists, check if you can run backup in safe mode to see if another program is causing the problem in normal mode
    a. see the Description of the Mode of course in Windows XP startup options
    b. in the menu advanced startup options select Safe mode and press on enter.
    c. check to see if you can run backup.

    Step 3: If the problem does not persist in safe mode, check if a non-Microsoft program is causing the problem
    see How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State .
    b. in the article, follow the method 1 and method 2 to find out if any program is causing the problem.
    c. Once you have found the culprit that is the program that is causing the problem, then uninstall it.

  • What will happen with my agent and active Windows 8, I will have bought with the laptop after I swap HDD with SSD?

    Original title: replacement disk and windows.

    Hello guys.

    I am considering buying a new laptop. The model that I found and I like has a HARD drive if I want to replace it with the SSD to the format of my previous laptop. (Due to the low energy consumption, greater speed, etc.). So I have a 256 gb SSD in my previous loan of laptop replace new one HARD disk, yet what will happen with my agent and active Windows 8, I will have bought with the laptop?

    I can reinstall windows 8 on the SSD, but I don't have a key to activate their... How will I be able to get the key from previous series if the laptops will only work with a recovery partition these days here? I asked a guy in the store, I buy my laptop since and he told me that he does not know and I have to ask for help. However, to create a message of support I need a serial number of the model I did not because I have not yet bought a laptop, so I don't know what to do... I really don't want to stick with the HARD drive, but also I can't afford another model.

    Is it possible to do a recovery with my laptop disk when I get it, then replace the drive with my SSD and run the recovery disc I made?

    The laptop I want to buy is an Asus if that helps...

    Thanks in advance...

    The 'Raw' State is not necessary, it is the State of any drive (SSD drive or hard drive) would be in if you just remove a disk new in box and will need to be "initialized", since you have already used the player already initialized sound.

    Do not format the drive, rather than delete all existing partitions, (the SSD shows then as being "unallocated"). Now you are ready to restore the backup Image you created. During the restore process Acronis will recreate the partitions that were on the hard drive on your SSD.

  • V/s compressed normal backup backup set.

    Hi all

    Can I get data in real time for a backup compressed in savings (tape drive) teams.
    We plan to implement this feature for dbs customers. (DB 10.2.0.4.0 on AIX/Linux)

    Thank you

    I can't answer your question but I would like to stress that many band systems include integrated hardware compression based so according to your hardware tape data being written to tape may already be compressed in which case there will be no reduction in the requirements for the ribbons after application Oracle rman backup compression feature.

    Where the band units do not compress the data being written to tape then I expect a reduction in the use of the band and the improvement of the efficiency equal to the reduction in the size of the file. If you have a 30% reduction in file size so the compressed backup set is only 70% of the game so I expect a 30% reduction in time to copy the files on a tape and a reduction of 30% of the needs of the band to copy the uncompressed backup tape backup.
