  • Bad Bios on the N100 update

    Hello

I have an old laptop lenovo n100, 1.66 dual core, 2 GB of ram. The problems started when I tried to install win 8 dev preview on this, because I'm pretty interested in coding, so the idea was to do it on that and use it as a test computer. When I went into the bios, the model number and uuid of the system were corrupted, and is showing some corrupt characters or simply f and e

I googled the problem and suggested he try to Flash the bios, now lenovo messages only a windows flashing the BIOS utility, so in my haste to solve the problem, I applied it, made sure it was running and left the House for a couple of hours. When I came back, the laptop had been frozen completely, I could not move the mouse, send any encoding or the command to the laptop, the screen froze at 18:07 - about five minutes after I left it - typical!

Since it froze, the 13/19, I thought that if she didn't drive reacts after 4 hours or more, there was no hope for her. Then I went to turn off the machine, he would not be turned off via the power button. Then I took the battery out of the machine, left outside for half a minute, then plugged back in and started the machine, that the portable computer tries to read the dvd that is in it for the moment, because it makes a noise and activity led lights up, but the screen does not display anything.

These laptops have a module fail safe in it, or any other means of attachment, or is it for scrap?

    Thanks in advance

If I understand your question now the display does not come.

It seems that the BIOS is not fully updated and it has been corrupted the BIOS program.

You can take the laptop to the service center for service.

    Best regards

  • Updated BIOS for HP a730n desktop

    Nice day!

I have a HP Pavilion a730n office, I want to upgrade to Windows 8.

The problem is with the BIOS that does not have the bit eXecute Disable (XD) feature enabled. It is a requirement for Intel processors.

I followed the instructions for the other requirements such as SSE2 and EAP, which is available on the motherboard.

I need only enable support XD, which does not show from anywhere in the BIOS, set up.

Also I checked Microsoft guidance that all processors that support NX also support SSE2. So if I have SSE2 then NX/XD support should be there too.

So, how can I get a BAD BIOS update to support XD/NX?

The motherboard is Asus PTGD1 (Louisiana). I tried their support too, but no luck so far.

Thanks in advance for any help with this.

    See you soon!

You can upgrade to a more recent or new PC.

Your PC was introduced on the market in 2004.  The motherboard is too many generations behind current Intel platforms to meet the requirements of the system of Windows 8.

There is no upgrade BIOS for your motherboard. The only update of the BIOS that was provided was on 2006-05-10, Version: 3.28.

  • Question about updating the BIOS for Qosmio G20

I downloaded the updated the BIOS of my pc, not the Qosmio, the instructions say it will unpack into 3 files, one being a floppy disk installation. When I unzip on my desktop pc, it makes a file that s too big for a floppy and he won t unzip further because it locks up my pc.

Is it safe to make it work on my desktop pc it can unzip then in the three files and this will affect my BIOS or y at - it somewhere that I can download the floppy part on its own to load on a floppy?

    Hello

    Just a question;
You have downloaded the Qosmio G20 BIOS on the desktop computer, unpacked and now you want it please on the diskette in the floppy drive.
    Is this good?

    So now my suggestion;
Firstly that the Qosmio G20 BIOS and other BIOS Toshiba cannot be updated using the floppy! This isn't traditional BIOS!
The BIOS from the Toshiba page must be updated when the Windows operating system is running!

By the way: you can unpack the BIOS on your desktop computer, but don t try to run all files, because the bad BIOS can damage the motherboard ROM module!

  • The update of the BIOS for Satellite Pro M70 does support TPM?

    Hello

There was an update of the bios that is specially designed for Vista... = bios-vista - 510win.zip on the Toshiba site...

Although my Satellite Pro M70-113 did not support the default TPM module (BIOS verson 1.1, I always have this), is it possible that this update includes the TPM secure to enable bitlocker on vista?

Can someone check and confirm please... :)

And secondly, is configuration BIOS update for Windows utility saves the current state of the BIOS in some external as backup media, while if it happens with the process of update... the previous version can be restored in return?

And a BIOS may be downgraded?

    Thank you.

    Hello

(1.) I m not 100% sure but I think the new BIOS for the M70 does not support the TPM secure. I read somewhere that all BIOS versions that support TPM on Toshiba laptops cannot be updated by a common user, but the user must contact the authorized Toshiba service provider for these updates.
That's why I think that Toshiba would not any BIOPS version by download issue if this BIOS would support the TPM.

2.) now something about the second question:
The new BIOS version replaces the old BIOS and BIOS States and to my knowledge it of not possible to save the settings for a backup more later.
Generally, you must be careful with any update of the BIOS. Bad BIOS or bad update procedure may damage the jury!

  • Can't find an updated BIOS for Satellite A30

    Hi friends.
I'm not found Toshiba A30-203 a new BIOS update.
I want to install windows vista but this sccren error.
    Error message:
"A computer has been detected and windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

If this is the first time you2ve seen this Stop error screen restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

The BIOS in this system is not fully ACPI-compatible. Please contact your system provider for an updated BIOS. »

to apologize for my bad English.

    Hello

It seems that the Satellite A30 series is a series that was shipped with the BIOS to no support for Vista.
I think that it should be possible to install Vista after a update of the BIOS.

But know that you will ask for the new version of the BIOS. Am I wrong? ;)

Well, on the page of the Toshiba BIOS, you should find different versions of BIOS.
It is very important that you check the more info option you will resume the BIOS updated. You will find information on the compatibility of the BIOS (not every version is compatible with all units).

But as you know that Vista is not official on the market. As I remember, it should be possible to buy the operating system in January 2007.
I think Toshiba will present a new version of BIOS for Vista in next time. So I hope ;)

  • Updating BIOS for MSI N1996 MS-9613 Indio Motherboard Patch 253 error

    So here's my dilemma:

I bought a HP e9270T renovated in 2009.  Over time, I upgraded my machine in various ways, a box with a better circulation of air, a new power supply, more RAM, etc.  And now, I tried to update my BIOS of motherboard after a recent installation of SSD.

I found the link for the BIOS to latest update here:

    http://bizsupport1.Austin.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en & CC = US & prodTy...

It keeps giving me an error saying incorrect patch or something in that sense, the real message can be found here:

    http://imgur.com/a/NB4cZ

I had the motherboard model number right the Board of Directors itself.

And apparently, because I forgot to write the serial number on the former stop, HP refuses to answer my question by phone, even though I gave them every bit of information they could possibly need.

I want just a solution to my problem of update,

I hope you all can help

Here are the specifications of plant origin and configurable options for your desktop HP Pavilion Elite e9270t CTO and here's the specifications of its card mother MSI MS-7613 (Indio). This is the software HP & Driver Downloads page for your HP e9270t computer. There is no update of the BIOS for your system.

The reason why you are having problems, install the update to the BIOS, you downloaded it, is because it is one of the several other MS-7613 motherboard which are different. Different motherboards MS-7613 go under the names of Indio, Inverness and Iona. Please note that the BIOS is unique to each of these different Councils.

    Hello

I na? don't know why you want to update the BIOS.
Your device is fairly new in this case I na? t see any direction update the BIOS.
Please note that the update of the BIOS is not without risk.
If you use a bad BIOS or bad BIOS procedure if you may damage the card and these laptop parts are not very cheap.

I agree with Flo. If your laptop computer is operating properly you shouldn't? t make the updates to the BIOS.

  • Updates of BIOS for non-Microsoft users

I have an a6707c HP Pavilion Tower. Everything is stock except for the wifi, the HARD drive and the new drive. 4 GB DDR2 and a 2.40 GHz dual core Pentium with a configuration of Foxconn. My bios had problems, even with Windows. He seems to want to allow operating systems change the bios settings in the wrong way for no reason. I end up having to do a "hard reset" by removing all power from the motherboard, battery and all hardware PCI. This only seems to happen when I turn on the PCI hardware. I run SolusOS 2 Alpha, which is a Linux distribution. I want to remind you that this isn't the distribution because of issues. I need a bios update that Windows did the same thing. I heard there are different methods and which do not update BIOS and also depending on the OS. I need a fix. I don't think shouldn't have to pay for updates to the bios. If necessary, I'll re install Windows for the update, but basically I just need one. I was warned by many programmers that the Foxconn facility was a work of "suicide". LOL thanks in advance

This is the original factory specifications for your desktop HP Pavilion a6707c. Here's more recent update of the BIOS card mother Napa-GL8E v5.27 available on the support pages of HP for your computer. The update must be installed on a system running Windows Vista or 7, 32-bit or 64-bit. This update of the BIOS may or may not fix the problems you are having. You may be able to extract the BIOS file and the flash using a proper routine of flash, but doing so may be dangerous and at your own risk.
