Bad memory

Hello world

I have a problem with the amount of memory that the collector is a report in some servers with Windows server 2003 IA64, the servers have 16 GB and 8 GB of ram, but reported the collector 1 052 670 MB. The problem is that in the consolidation report that systems appear as they are not candidates to codify.

What do you suggest me me to check on the collector or systems to solve the problem?

Thanks in advance,

Hi everyone, I just remove the host from the inventory of capacity planning and add it again and it detects the correct amount of memory.

Thank you all.

  • block bad memory no. 2851

I had some strange crashes recently on a no. 2851.

When you check the crash logs, I found that the crash was due to a wrong address (supported or fetch statement) an exception.

The exception occurs at the same address every time.

Is there a way to isolate this block of memory for active memory / mark as unusable so the system tries to read?

The memory module on the 2851 replaceable or is welded in the Mo?

    Hello

No, you cannot isolate/disable the memory block and refrain the router to use it.

the memory stick is replaceable on its expansion DIMM location:

    http://www.Cisco.com/c/en/us/TD/docs/routers/access/2800/hardware/instal...

    http://www.Cisco.com/c/en/us/TD/docs/routers/access/2800/hardware/instal...

but before you do this, I'd say to open a TAC case, if still under contract, to diagnose correctly that it is indeed a problem of bad memory/RAM.

  • Dell Inspiron 660 bad memory

Dell Inspiron 660 has a slot of bad memory. It has two slots 4 GB in each slot, 8GB total. Only 4 GB show. I removed the ram and switched around and tried one in each location. My side slot on the left does not. Is this a common problem? It is expensive to replace the mother board? All the other fixes for this? I can put a 8 GB in a slot should I buy one?

Thanks for all the answers to my questions frustrated! Debra

II BIOS sees only 4 GB and any crack each RAM module is in it, then it looks like a motherboard failure.

According to the specifications, 660 modules only supports 2 and 4 GB of RAM with a max of 8 GB total installed. So none is not a module of 8 GB.

Several Inspiron 660 cards mothers available here and on the next pages of this site. And I guess there is always the eBay group own Dell spare parts.

Only you can decide how much you want to spend fixing it. And always ask if a replacement motherboard is new, used, refurbished and warranty.

  • Equium A60: Bad memory value appears

My toshiba satellite A60 have only 448 MB of ram, it shoukd have 512 what can I do?

    Hello

In my opinion, the lower value of the memory appears in the properties of the BONE because of the graphic card of 64 MB shared memory.
This card use a part of the main memory and so you will get a different memory value.

If you add the 64 MB to the 448MB you get 512 MB. So everything is ok with you memory modules.

  • T530 The bad memory

My T530 (i7-3720QM, 2.6 GHz, 4 GB) is 18 months old. Lately, some programs acted weird (region of a window will be unclear). Lenovo Solutions HW audit found nothing wrong. I decided to run Memtest86 + (v5.01) to check the memory and it has detected an error (TST:6, failing address: 0002fc7c5dc - Mo 764,4, good: 00000004, ADB: 00002004, ErrBits:00002000) after each pass. It seems that this error is in the lower part of the 4 GB on the MB. Before I start taking the unit apart, I was wondering if the 4 GB memory module is usable field or the RAM is welded directly to the MB and therefore, should be replaced by a repair shop. Thank you.

Hi Z, thanks much for the info re: HMM instructions to access the memory lower bar (address). Very much appreciated.

  • Map of bad memory too bad vid

I have an opportunity d530 cmt, p4 3 GHz, 1 GB of ram. I installed a mod pc2700u 512 MB memory, windows started normally as a first step, I guess that it's called the splash screen, but when the screen with user accounts came on, the screen was blurry and the color has changed. No red shows just blue and green. I uninstalled the mod memory, but the prob persists. Damage the internal video card or monitor? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

    Hello:

I put a 128 MB nVidia GeForce 6200 card in one of my friends, and also a card of 128 MB Radeon 9600 in another, I had.

    They must be AGP cards.

You could probably go to 256 MB memory for these cards.

You should be able to find those used, but tested and functional on eBay.

  • The State of health does not detect bad memory

    Hey everybody,

    I'm running 3.5 update 4 on a Dell 2950. The

problem I have is that I get a defective DIMM message on the LED of the

Server, but the parser memory under the health status is green and happy.

Any ideas why this happens? I noticed on all of my boxes of the host

You can not expand the section of memory under State of health; You can

with all other sections. It could be related? Any thoughts?

    Thank you

    Kevin

What is the code?  I had E2110 MBE (Bit error memory) which do not show in the State of health.  In the past, I used OpenManage on the ESX host.  The company I am now is not installed and I don't know if they will allow it or not.  My problem is that my mistakes were in equipment that located on our site of DR unmanned and we did not know the errors until we are to test!

    Kind regards...

  • Blue screen and bad RAM memory?

My MBP 2011 early all just stopped working yesterday, it worked very well without any problem of performance for the last 5 years, and then suddenly a blue screen (of death) and it has problems starting.

He will ring the Bell to start, display the bar loading and Apple, and then there will be a glitch on the big screen (horizontally) 1 inch above the Apple, after that, the fans speed up and all that I see a gray screen, not user interface.

I zapped the PRAM/MSC and tried the unique memory sticks, I have no spare RAM on hand, but who will order soon.

    Tips to solve this problem?

    AHT says this - 65/4MEM/4000000000: 0x84f6f918

Google says it is bad memory

    Here is the BSoD:

I think you have a problem of memory, although if your MacBook Pro 15 or 17 inch, you should consider video issue as well now.

  • 3 beeps, 5 seconds silence, 3 beeps, etc change the memory did not help...

Mac Mini end of 2012 running El Capitan

With 3 beeps, 5 seconds silence, 3 beeps, etc, it's "no good bank."  I was using crucial memory, works fine until about a week ago when he is awakened from his sleep gave the order to 3 beeps.  Changed to original memory of apple, same, got crucial replacement memory, same 3 beeps...  I doubt that all the 3 series were / are bad.  What else could be?  Any hardware problem would give sequence 3 beeps?

Probably the logic board is having some problems caused by the bad memory or another problem. I would certainly get extract in an Apple Store or service provider.

  • error message "out of memory online: 1" How do I stop it please?

I have recently started to receive this message intermittently on various Internet sites and having to click it, sometimes several times to get rid is becoming a pain. For most of the web self help stuff IE8 and I recently hosted my PC Download a whole bunch of updates without checking first. Have you changed the size of the Windows page file?

Make this file as small as suggested in this thread is not recommended and this solution has been designed for XP which has management bad memory.
You should let the file size value that suggest Windows appropriate (optimal) page.
If running Windows lack of (virtual) memory then the OS will crash and with a low value will happen sooner or later.

  • Memory problem while improving my Satellite A100-181

    Hi all

I want to upgrade RAM on my Satellite A100-181, 512 MB is a bit limited...
I ordered a 1 GB dimm noname a month before, put in it, with the 512dimm. As a result, we have only 1 GB recognized, and the laptop does not start if the 512 module is not mounted.

I thought it was a bad memory module and ordered a kit 2 GB of crucial memory modules, which come paired and guaranteed by Crucial to be compatible with the toshiba A100-181.
Result is the same: with 2 DIMMS inserted, the PC does not start: just turn on and off and still... With only 1 dimm, it does not start unless the 512 original module is attached to it... And once again, only 1 GB is recognized (915456Ko in the bios, but I guess that video reserved memory is not counted here)

Is that what anyone has ever heard a problem / solution to this issue?

    Thank you very much.

It is typical behavior when you use incompatible modules.
Your laptop can handle with 2 GB max and compatible with 1 GB of Ram is DDR2 400/533 1 GB (PA3411U-1M1G). Use this part number to order compatible module.

You can also buy the Kingston/Order module. Kingston offers high quality products and using them you won't have these problems.

The Modules of RAM 'Value' use many chips cheap using several banks/channels, which can cause problems of compatibility with some Chipsets/CPUS.

  • Upgrade memory from 256 to 512 MB on Satellite Pro A60

Just want to confirm really what I got caught once before buying the bad memory. I read another thread, so am sure I'm ok with that.

OK, the RAM, I need for the upgrade of the Satellite A60 Pro is:
    200-pin SODIMM, DDR PC2700 Unbuffered CL2.5 (Non - ECC)

    Maplin:
    http://www.Maplin.co.UK/search.aspx?criteria=A31CG&doy=24m12
    A31CG DDR 2700 512M SODIMM

    Crutial
    http://www.crucial.com/UK/store/mpartspecs.asp?mtbpoid=04FE6CD8A5CA7304
512MB 200-pin SODIMM, DDR PC2700 upgrade for the Toshiba Satellite Pro A60 Series notebook

I don't think that 1GIG RAM is needed for my daughter :-)

Note: On my main PC, I got defective Crutial Ballistix memory, but Crutial were very good replacing it for free.

Thank you and a Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all of you on this forum.

Ah, just another thing I'm not clear on.

The NEW RAM replaces the existing, in other words I have remove the 256 and replace it with the 512? Reading the user manual, it is not clear and talks about expansion module. Probably, it would be obvious if I opened it to the top, but I'd rather not at this stage.

    Thank you

  • 2800-200 unrecognized extension memory

Initially, I had 64 MB of RAM in the expansion slot and this was ok.

I bought an extension of memory of 128 MB which, when inserted did not have Windows ME to start. He kept just restart before touching the start screen.

The 128 MB has been recognized in the BIOS info, pressing escape on start up.

I tried many things, running Win 98 and back to ME but couldn't get the 128 MB to work.

Now, I replaced the expansion of 64 MB and it is not recognized in the BIOS or system in detail, as well as when I put the 128 MB in it starts very well.

This suggests that there is a problem with the slot, and not the memorry.

I wandered if the BIOS update (although I'm not sure what the BIOS) so I tried to update via this site.

I was not able to update the bios. This Web site indicates that there are two options

    (1) windows Update - during extraction of the .zip file and then run the .exe all for this are to write on a diskette and do not any additional instructions that the BIOS update notice says it must.

    2) boot from a disk, said turning on laptop with the F12 key (does not work, then turn with PowerOn button) and hold down the F12 key until you get to the screen of the BIOS update - F12 does nothing.

    My two questions then-

    (1) what is the problem with the slot of memory and how can I test/fix?
    (2) is there BIOS update instructions?

    Hello

AFAIK, you can upgrade the memory for max 192 MB (64 MB + 128 MB)
So, in this case, you can use only one memory card. These modules are memory compatible:
    PA3003U - 1 M 03 32 MB
    PS3004U - 1 M 06 64 MB
    PS3005U - 1 M 12 128 MB

Well, I can t give you a correct answer, why the OS doesn't work. Maybe you used a bad memory or is not compatible. I suggest using the memory module that is recommended by Toshiba.

    What BIOS:
I found this Toshiba FAQ document on the Bios Update:

  • Upgrade memory of PC Compaq Presario SR2177CL Desktop problem

I have a Compaq Presario SR2177CL desktop PC.  I checked the specifications of the product on the HP site and this is what it says for the record:

When I put the pair of DIMMs in the pc, it won't post more.  The screen is still asleep and I never see the bios screen, I can't go in the bios configuration, or whatever it is.  As soon as I remove the pair, it works again.  The PC came with 2 512 MB DIMM in the slot 1 and 2, so I tried to delete those and replacing them with the pair I bought and got the same results.  I buy the bad memory?  I see it should work.

Thanks in advance for any help and ideas.

Finally!  I decided to try the suggested crucial.com memory, I went to the city and found in the store of the local computer.  It is plugged in and it works like a charm.  NewEgg gave me a credit on the memory of others when I called them, so everything worked.
