• Messages indicator shows two new messages, but there is none

  Try to restart the Dock using the following command in Terminal:

  Killall Dock

  Log outgoing/incoming and test. If this does not work, you need to look in your user Library/Application Support/docking station for the .db. Use the Finder "Go to folder" command. Enter ~/Library/Applications Support/Dock.  Move the .db on your desktop.

  Then try a reset of the docking station.

  Applications/Utilities/Terminal enter the command

  Killall Dock

  Log out/in test. If it works fine, delete the .db from the desktop.

  If the dock is the same, back up the .db you, crushing the latest.

  If you prefer to make your library user visible permanently, go to Finder and select your user folder. With this Finder window as the windshield, select Finder/display/display options for presenting or order - J.  When the display options opens, check "show the library folder.   Hmm, maybe this "one-time" imported into the new preference? Try this:

  (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

  (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste the cust and make a pause so that the list is filtered

  (3) double-click the preference of browser.uiCustomization.state and the content must be highlighted in a small dialog box.

  (4) copy the whole line and paste it into Notepad and save it as a backup.

  (5) in Firefox, click on the button '3-bar' menu > developer > Notepad. Remove the comment that appears and paste data preferably, that must appear on a long line. Click on the "Pretty Print" button to make it more readable.

  So I hope that you can spot the extra toolbars and change them out, taking care to preserve the commas between the elements.

  I don't have the extra toolbars in mine, but I copied and pasted back this spaced format and Firefox was able to handle it well. I went into customize and moved a button, and when I left, Firefox has rewritten the preference set as a single line. Assuming that yours works fine, then you can get rid of the backup from step (4).

• Microsoft Security Center icon in the toolbar State but deleted program. How to remove it?

  I use a HP Pavilion a1510n, XP Home Edition, Media Center Version 2002 Sv Pk 3 AMD 64 Oricessir 869 MB of RAM.  Recently loaded Skype and Explorer 8.

  I removed my Microsoft of their Security Center security bases a couple of weeks and installed Malwarebytes' Anti Malware 1.51.2.1300.

  I had reinstalled Microsoft security essentials and when the program began to run, there were two icons in the status bar... a 'protected' with indicator showing green and others a red shield with a white "x" inside... I was never able to remove this red shield of the plateau.

  I looked everywhere I know, research, program files Windows, etc, but I can't find anywhere on the computer where every bit of this program are still installed. I now use only Malwarebytes... I understand it should only run an anti-virus/malware both program.

  If anyone can help me get this icon off my tray it will be appreciated... Thank you all...

  In the run box, type: msconfig and click OK. On the Startup tab, go to:  msseces and uncheck the box. Under the Services tab scrolling in the: Microsoft Antimalware Service and uncheck the box. Click on apply, click OK. Restart your computer.

  When the computer reboots, put a checkmark in the box not to get the popup again.

  If these two lack the startup and control services: Control Panel, administrative tools, Services. Scroll up to: Microsoft Antimalware Service double click it and change the type of boot to disabled, click OK.

  If there is no entry in the Services or the icon does not go far, follow these steps.

  In the run box, type: regedit and navigate to:

  HKEY_CURRENT_USER
  \SOFTWARE
  \Microsoft
  \Windows
  \CurrentVersion
  \Explorer
  \TrayNotify

  Click on the Board to notify and right-click on icon stream and click on delete. Restart your computer.

• Printer shows ready and connected but does not print how to reconnect it

  Printer HP Photosmart 5520 is not yet shown under devices and printers, but when I do caillet shows Photosmart 5520 connected and ready, but it will not be printed.  Only, it started when I had another problem with emails and respond and called century link (my emailer) on another problem.  Can someone tell me what to do, I have the disc and have inserted and nothing going on help please, I really need the printer.

  Thank you for your answer and I did something that apparently worked.  Before your apply I shut down the computer and the next time I opened it, the printer worked.  I think there were some documents before and when I turned it on again, it worked.  Thanks for your reply, I did apparently accidentally.

  In the Inbox, it contains 63 unread messages. I checked manually and there is not. I also hit the button to mark all messages as read, and it shows that 63 messages are read. This has happened on my old computer and followed through a new.

  I suggest you also check reviews | Records is set to "All".

  And your quickfilter settings are all off or erase.

  Where is the button to mark all as read? If this happened through an add-on? I don't think that it is a standard feature of Thunderbird.

  I bought a subscription for Acrobat Pro DC. The payments are current and the plan is active.  When I try to edit a pdf file, I get an error message saying "your subscription has expired."  I hit the button in the Middle, 'enable '. Now he wants my "serial number".  It is a download software, so there is no box of product.  I log into my account, access plans and products, but nowhere it lists a serial number for the program.  I'm going to help in Acrobat Pro ms and choose 'On Acrobat Pro DC', but it does not list a serial number.  I watch the Bills for my monthly payments, but they do not enter a serial number.   I tried the Chat support, but "Nicky" gave me advice of gibberish and then disconnected me after 19 seconds of chat.  I tried phone support, but the polite man whose Indian accent is almost too thick to understand told me that he couldn't help me, when it became clear that it could not take on my machine remotely, due to the security settings of my company.

  Also, I can connect to my Adobe account in a browser (IE or Chrome), but when I select the "Sign In" button at the top right of the window Acrobat Pro DC, it connects, and so I can not sign the program.

  Clear the cache and delete cookies from Web sites that cause problems via the '3-bar' menu button of Firefox (Options/preferences).

  "Clear the cache":

  • Firefox/Options/preferences of-> advanced-> network-> cached Web content: 'clear now '.

  'Delete cookies' websites that are causing problems.

  • Firefox/Options / preferences-> privacy-> "Use the custom settings for history"-> Cookies: "show the Cookies".
