  Who should have alarms, no errors. You do not have to include these libraries in your .bar file, they are present on the PlayBook and are dynamically used by your application.

  Looks like you changed the name of the application in your config.xml file, or use a computer/signature different keys.

  I hopoing can someone help me with a problem I have with JOHN 3.0 and try to install packages for CS6 for Windows.

  I use Illustrator as the package of initial test but when tyring to run the .msi (on a 32-bit Windows 7 system) file, I get an error that says...  This Setup program cannot be run directly in UI mode.  Please, deploy the MSI in silent mode.

  I'm sure I followed the instructions correctly but do not understand why I see this message.  I read on a lot of people having problems with JOHN, but I don't have to do anything fancy with the package.  Just a straight line basically install Illustrator in this case.  I finally need so that packages for several products, but this is my first shot at this.

  Any help on why I see this message would be greatly appreciated.

  Sorry, you feel like being to avoid the question, this isn't the case and Liba answered the question earlier in his answer. JOHN is a tool Enterprise Volume designed to facilitate the deployment of CS through hundreds or thousands of machines and for that reason the tool was designed to présérialiser, give some advanced configuration options and create a package optimized for silent deployment slots client without user intervention. The standard installation program continues to provide a bar of GUI and progress for users.

  JOHN is also designed to be used with a 3rd party deployment tool, and we have seen in the past, individuals use so that a notification of progress or installation is displayed to the user if you wish them.

  We will take your comments on board and look to see if a progress bar is something that we can achieve in the future for windows, as it is present on Mac.

  A few weeks ago, I wore my application of enyo webOS, ReadOnTouch PRO, for the BlackBerry Playbook via APK Android converter. But I had some problems with this version and approval when denied. So I decided it's better to go with native WebWorks rather than convert good APK walked, because I do not plan to publish my app for Android. So, I changed my code to make it work with WebWorks and everything works fine in the Playbook Simulator. So far so good.

  After the signature of my app and uploading it to the provider portal, I have the following message:

  File bundle (rot.bar) was rejected. Package ID is required for all .bar file. If this is an upgrade, ID of Package must match ID of Package in the bundle of original file.

  I already googled and searched on this forum, so I've read (and I thought if I understand) this link: http://devblog.blackberry.com/2012/03/package-id-rejected-by-app-world/

  I always use the same keys, as with the old version of android, but when I look at the two generated MANIFEST. MF files, they differ in the package name (and package-id). Is it possible to change my current name of package to the former? The old name of the package is com.svenziegler.readontouch.android, but when I try to name my zip file (I work with the WebWorks SDK on the command-line, mac os) for that name then bbwp fails to sign the application due to an invalid application name. I also read that the name of the zip file should not exceed 10 characters... So, I don't really have a clue what can or should I do?

  Another question: the version number in my new config.xml (no not just with the android version) are the same, as the old version of the Android manifest?

  Hello Sven,

  In your config.xml file WebWorks file must be a element. If you plug your old application name it and repackage the application (and sign with the same keys), then this may be enough to build the same Package ID. However, this will make your application name (as shown on devices) long enough.

  My recommendation, if you do not have the attachments to the application of App World you already have (i.e. it was did not for sale yet) then it would be probably easier just to create a presentation that is completely new to build your WebWorks. If you want to reuse the same name, you can change the name of the existing product to something else.

  The version number should not affect the overall Package ID. It only should be based on the Application name and the keys to sign the application for code signing.

  Please note that I have tried all suggestions in other threads.

  Signature keys have not been changed.
  The name of the package have not been changed either.

  Later successfully packed and the downloaded version is Jan/06 this year.

  What should I do to solve the problem?

  Have you changed the name of the ZIP file that you're packing by chance? The package name is derived, which would have an impact as well in the end the package ID.

• by using the Simulator on Eclipse

  I have been using eclipse for the coding and packaging, this is a nice tool.  -for debugging, I used the Blackberry JDE. Currently running the Simulator in the BB JDE is not complicated but when multiple API versions has to be tested as well as having a production version and a version of development running the number of workspaces increases. I therefore decided to take a go at the Simulator in Eclipse. After an hour I had it almost working but finally ends and "Device error - Blackberry Smartphone Simulator", "the catastrophic Assertion failure". If the BB JDE Simulator is "screwdriver", the eclipse is a double "Swiss Army Knife". So many settings and not a lot of explanation (that I found). Is there a 'manual' on the use of the Simulator on Eclipse somewhere?

  For example. In the BB JDE, I put a flag on a module is a module system, and must be loaded initially. Not found in Eclipse. There are a lot of other parameters. I want just a basic configuration which works like the BB JDE. The main application is a Midlet and my modules are still running listeners

  It is a mistake of the BlackBerry smartphone itself Simulator (Windows application), not simulated applications.

  Please, try the following:

  1. Click the Project menu in Eclipse.
  2. Choose BlackBerry-> own Simulator...
  3. Select all, and then click OK.

  This will reset all the BlackBerry smartphone simulators to their default state.  Now repackage and run your application again.

  I installed the 1.5 plugin Eclipse and found that RIM has removed 4.6 and 4.7 of the Eclipse update site i.e SDK http://www.blackberry.com/go/eclipseUpdate/3.6/java.

  So how can I develop applications targeting OS versions?

  I downloaded the component modules 4.6.1 and 4.7 of the download page (http://us.blackberry.com/developers/javaappdev/javadevenv.jsp).

  If the component pack is in .zip format, I know how to install them.

  Given that they are .exe files, wondering how to install these packages in Eclipse plugin?

  Version 4.6.1 and 4.7.0 4.6.0 is longer supported as Eclipse plug-ins.  Any BlackBerry Smartphone running these versions of the software can upgrade to version 5.0.  Pre 5.0 also has very little activity App World, as shown in the stats here: https://bdsc.webapps.blackberry.com/devzone/appworld

  If you do not need to target for a specific reason, you can create using BlackBerry JDE.

• BlackBerry App world & Marmalade - unable to update the application due to the incompatibility of the Package Id

  When you try to submit an upgrade of my existing BlackBerry PlayBook application, my .bar file is rejected due to incompatibility of package-id.

  I looked at the content of the folder bar and compared it to the original version that I presented. Indeed, the package Id has changed.

  What has not changed, it is the id of the application signing certificate or id of the author. The original was presented with marmalade version 6.1, and was built with marmalade version 6.2.

  Any idea on what is causing this discrepancy? Y at - there no fix for this other that screw up my existing version and from new BlackBerry App World? I really want to do because my clients lead are no longer updated.

  In fact, I finally could get an it again. I run the tool for configuring Jam once more, then updated the packages of Marmalade by running the .mkb file. After these two steps, my release was accepted as being compatible with my previous version.

  Thanks for the work around to the subject of manually update the configuration file. I'll take advantage of that in the future if need be.

• Windows 8 cannot install the package redistributable vc 2013

  Hello, for some reason any cannot install the package redistributable 2013 on my windows desktop vc 8.

  I run the file vcredist 64, the pop-up window with show the progress of the installation... and nothing happens, the progress bar stay empty.

  I discovered this problem on behalf of the new SpaceInvasion.fr hammer war game that i download throug steam, after downloading steam tries to install the package redistr of vc and he could not. So therefore I can't start a game.

• After the package in refactoring viewController

  Hi all

  I use Jdev 12.1.2.0

  Recently, I have re-taken into account a package in my project of ViewController and renamed HelloWorld helloworld (all lowercase letters)

  This package contains backingbeans and some pagedefs. I checked all the references in the databindings.cpx file pagedef, import statement and it is updated every where to helloworld.

  I cleaned my project deleted old files of class too. The problem is that sometimes, when I deploy my application on integrated server, taskflow is not called that refers to these beans and pagedefs. After the redeployment of the application, it works. The behavior is very unpredictable as in some deployment it works and sometimes does not.

  Please let me know if I'm missing something.

  You are running under windows?

  If so, I guess you see a general windows problem with case-sensitive path names. Windows "HelloWorld" Rename "helloworld" does not mean a change in the path (and package names path names) are case-sensitive. In java, there is a difference!

  To make this work of refactoring on windows requires you to first change of name of the package to for example "helloxxxx" and after that the desired name "helloworld".

• Creating a container of the package fails on the last stage by renaming the .exe in .dat

  I tried several times to create a package without success. All files seem to have downloaded when I look in C:\Users\MichaelK\AppData\Local\Adobe. There is data here 14.5Gig.

  Have you tried to clear the cache of CCP and try again? Damaged in the cache files can cause errors when building your package.

  Go to the 'Welcome' on the menu drop-down menu > Preferences, then choose "click here to purge the cache folder.
