  I can't copy or paste the invited vSphere with vCenter client host and vice versa.   I'm provisioning virtual machines from a template.  Basically, I converted a virtual machine into a template and used with the Customization Wizard to supply the new virtual machine.   I imported an unattend.xml file in the Customization Wizard.   VMware tools is installed.

  I googled and found that the inability to copy and paste inside the guest OS is a default behavior for 4.1.  So I followed the work and edited the file/etc/vmware/config with the following two lines and restarted the virtual machines.

  insulation. Tools.Copy.Disable = "false"

  insulation. Tools.Paste.Disable = "false"

  No chance!

  Then, I created a new virtual machine from scratch and attached the VMDK from the former VM.  Now I can copy and paste without problem.  So, it seems that the customization process is the culprit.   I can't create virtual machines from scratch.  How can I use my template to provision VMs without the problem of copy/paste?

  A restart of the host is not required, it is the virtual machine that needs to restart.

  What you need to do is to power off the virtual machine and then put the new one. Not just restart the guest operating system.

  If this does not work, thanks for posting the vmware.log file of the virtual machine file.

  I can access websites through bookmarks, most visited, history or if I click on links in Google, etc. If I click on a link directly, it will open. • Copy / paste no longer works in firefox. Does not work in SafeMode either.

  I wonder what I can do to solve this problem. In most cases, I can point out one thing and select copy from the context menu, but when I try to paste nothing happens, and if I try to paste again copy them / paste are grayed out.   After more digging deeper, I found that this problem occurred in other things as well, but seems to be worse in FF for some reason any. With other things as if we were trying to copy and paste in windows or IE Explorer, sometimes it work and sometimes it wouldn't. After that scrubbing windows supports the forums and by sticking to a few suggestions, most people seem to think it could be a malware or a virus. I scanned the system with multiple programs and found nothing. In all my efforts, I was not able to determine why this was happening. I wanted no pictures of system previously and just copy / paste to work again, so I backed up my data and did a new install of Windows 7. So far, everything is back to normal now. I just wish I knew for what has caused this to happen. At this point, I don't think that Firefox was to blame in my case. It was my bad to assume that caused Firefox because it is the first place I've seen that happen and I spend more time than other things on my pc using FF.

• Copier\paste sporadic problems on HP 820 and 840 laptops

  We have a growing number of HP 820 and 840 laptops in our society and we have had a number of staff with them complain that sometimes the copy/paste feature does not work, but if they are persistent and keep trying it works finally.

  For example, to copy a URL from a web browser and paste it into Word or Excel etc.  It may not work the 1st or even 2nd time, but it will eventually work.   I've seen this happen too, and I finally understood what was the cause in my case (paste in Word, Outlook, Excel, or PowerPoint).  In my case, there are add-ins loaded into my office (Adobe Acrobat in my case).  Something about this supplement is empty the Clipboard when it is loaded.  When I disabled it, it stopped happening to me.
