Batch export smart object layers

Hello.

At work, I need to make a few models of covers of DVDs, magazines, books, etc.. Sometimes, I have several options to do both, as 20 magazine covers. Usually, I'm doing 30 layers within the smart object that I use in my comp and go by turning each on, update dynamic object and saving with a different file name.

Is there a way to make an action that:

  1. Light (visible) has layers within a dynamic object.
  2. Save the smart object.
  3. Update in the main image.
  4. Save the image under a new name (if can be the name of the smart object layer, better).
  5. Turn on the next layer in the smart object and repeat.

Does anyone have an idea?

Thank you

Luiz

Why so many composite of layers files.  I think that everything you need is a PSD with layer comp that would save different versions of the DVD covers in the form of flat jpeg files.

  • Linked smart object layers

This can be a very simple question (or not):

As shown here, I have a Photoshop project that has many layers in it. All layers have roughly the same images in it, but with minor differences. I'm trying to find a way to change the color of ALL the layers without having to go into each individual.

I want all the layers to get the exact color of even different from what is shown.

OK, I had the desired effect, but I still think that I did a long trip. I appreciate the help, however!

  • Smart object and anti alias

    Hello world

I have a document with a rectangle shape in the PS as a smart object. I use it to model where I can change the cover on a screen of magazine, etc.

BUT, I get a ragged line with smart object layers and anti alias (activation tool for transformation) is inactive.

-Does anyone know what I need to do?

    Thank you

Please upgrade to the latest version of Photoshop 2015.5.1

  • Replace the smart object to images of the bridge

Hello! I know it can be a bit complicated, I created an action to replace the "Smart object" layers for images selected from Adobe Bridge, replaces only always the same images... There is the possibility to get this done via a script with at least 5 images?

You can paste the items copied from Illustrator into Photoshop as smart objects - just choose this option.

Magneticbear: When you place your object in Photoshop, you have the Antialias checked (in the options bar) before commit you the transformation?  Without it, you would get the result of type you specify.

  • Action to replace the contents of a smart object

I use CS5/PS to create a collage created multiple images (smart object layers) that I've positioned using clipping masks.

I would like to be able to replace the content of the images, which I can do via layer > smart objects > replace contents..., but I would like to have an action for a process of 'one-click' instead of three clicks.  Problem is, when I try to record the action, it forces me to complete replacement, and then the action gets wired to replace the image used in the 'record' action and therefore does not allow me to select which image I'd like to use.

This feature is available in PS Elements, so I think it's possible.  I don't know that miss me something pretty basic, I do not know what!

    Thanks in advance,

  • Is it possible to combine smart objects related with layers?

I create in my compositions of another linked smart object layer. Now, I want to show them in my psd file main, as different States (showing the different States of the header of a Web site).  Always when I try to change the status of the dynamic object bound to the title of the Properties window, there is always change for all layers.

Why I want to do? I want to use the smart object bound to different files.

But duplicates of the CG with the corresponding layers applied can be used (shown and hidden) in the layers of the container document.

  • Layers in layers that record my smart objects

I need my compositions of layers can also save my layers to smart objects, like that I'll be able to have the different States of a Web site, reducing the number of layers in a big way. Without this feature, I find that smart objects somewhat useless feature layers...

Layer Comps do not record layer comps in smart objects. Those of more or less separate files that must be open to view or change his compositions.

  • Layering with smart objects for the architectural atmosphere photos in PS

    Help...

I was wondering if anyone has had experience working professional architectural photographs in PS?

I'm interested in Help and learn how to use the technique of what architectural layering of many photographers use to produce different exhibitions, an Interior into a single image.

Many pros prefer this method tells me, because it offers more control and flexibility than the use of HDR.

A photographer, that I talked to said:

"I also support different exposures and use under or above the exposures for extreme areas needing adjustment." Dynamic objects simplify things by using a single RAW file whenever in range".

I don't understand this; Anyone got any links to the Web sites, etc., I can learn more about this method?

    Thank you...

From your post, I think that what they say is you using a raw image, you can change the exposure in camera raw. This can be done at any time by double clicking on the icon of the layer that should be a dynamic object, so that you can go back to camera raw at any time change the exposure.

You can set a camera raw default to open an inphotoshop of the image as a smart object. In the lower right in camera raw, you will see either a button called open an image or a button called open object. This can be changed in the options of workflow that looks like a link html below the image in camera raw (this location may have changed since CS3). A shortcut is to press and hold the SHIFT key, it will change how this button.

  • DNG/Smart Object workflow options

Hi, we have been converting all of our RAW files to DNG on receipt of the photographers. So this is the format we will use from now on for all RAW images.

We create web banners of these images in a Photoshop master file that allows you to crop and optimize in one place. The end file will be many layers of banners on which it will export for each page header.

But we decided to incorporate the RAW files as smart objects so that we could make other adjustments in ACR that we move forward.

-Do I have reason to assume that ONLY the initials ACR adjustments before opening the DNG in PS as smart object will be stored in the DNG file? Any other refinements from PS by a double click to open in ACR only can be stored in the original DNG file?

-If this is the case, is there scripts, automation or suggestions of workflow that would allow us to keep our DNG files original up-to-date with all the adjustments made, including those carried out after being a smart object in PS (we currently use the CS6 PS)?

It's really convenient to have all the images in the document PS one as smart objects that can be adjusted according to the needs. But I would also like to be able to save the DNG in batches for different purposes (for example, master files for printing) without having to go back and redo all the settings.

    Ideas?

To do this, I think you have to pass to CC so that you can use the linked location.

  • Export as video layers?

I have diapers that I created by importing video in layers. I edited the layers. Now I want to export them.

If I do what he says in help, using video rendering by selecting all images that he creates a video consisting of a single image that has been replicated hundreds of times.

The last time I managed to create images by running the script to create the layer files. This time, it crosses several times all the layers of something and creates approximately 1 image for 2 minutes. Unless he went bonkers, I think I'll have a sequence of images in a few hours.

In any case, what can I do it wrong? Instructions help seems to be pretty clear, and it seems to not work. I had the same experience last time I tried this.

Try to convert to smart object. Layers of fusion are not also... Who will turn in a single long chassis. Made video is how save you.

  • Saving smart objects

How to register a dynamic object to create a jpg for electronic mail without losing the smart object?

    Hi lsgrn2,

You can follow these steps export the contents of a smart object:

    1. Select the smart object in the layers panel, and choose layer > smart objects > export contents.

    2. Choose a location for the content of the dynamic object, and then click Save.
Photoshop exports the placed smart object in its original format (JPEG, TIF, PDF, or other formats). If the smart object was created from layers, it is exported in PSB format.

Here is a link to our page of Photoshop help create dynamic objects.

Alternatively, if you just want to share a JPEG copy of the publication that you created, you can go to the file--> save as. From there, you can select the JPEG format and save a copy of the file created (keeping the separate original Photoshop file). In this way, you can attach a JPEG file without losing the smart object original.

    I hope this helps!

  • Illustrator CS4 smart objects?

    Hello
I'm creating a vector illustration of an ipad or similar. I want to be able to retain the scale vector and have the ability to change the image of the screen of the ipad to a different image. The layer of the screen image is currently using a mask to define the area of the screen and there are a couple of top containg light layers that overlay the screen image.

I tried to select the current image and 'place' a new image, but I just get a new layer with an image caught on top of the previous image.

Can someone suggest a simple method to add the new image to the screen. The final file will be provided to people with even more limited knowledge of illustrator than me.

I also tried to export the image in photoshop and then transform the image screen in a smart object layer. Then clicking on the smart object to open the layer, drag and drop the new image on the smart object open and then saving it. This method replaces the image, but when I tested the scalability of the last image in photoshop by changing the size of the image to 10% and then back to the original size image has fuzzy edges. Maybe because some live effects in illustrator (e.g. blur, inner glow) are not not vector in Photoshop?

Thanks for any help you can provide

  • Change of image when converting to smart object

Well, that's a new one on me.

I have a simple image with a layer and layers of setting three on top.

Mixer - with blue layer refused to 0%

    Posterize - 3 levels

Black and white - no changes to the default values

It gives me a black and white posterized picture-as I expect. All blending modes are normal and without layer effects are applied and there is no other layers on.

However, when I change to a dynamic object - level poster borders move (see example cut the corner of the picture below)

If I open the smart object - everything is as before, if I close (save the object) and discovers the smart object in the main image, change the posterization.

I work in 16-bit and image and the dynamic object are in Adobe RGB. I get the same effect with the GPU acceleration on or off

I am at a loss to explain why I see a change while creating a dynamic object.

  • Lightroom Smart Object disappeared

I edited photos in Lightroom to help edit in Photoshop using Smart Object.

I saved to Lightroom and I exported the final images very well... but

A day later I went back to make changes and my smart images are no where to be seen.

Obviously a noobie question, but how to see them again?

You are in a collection: portraits of Web site. Are you sure that the photoshopped file is part of this collection? Simply click on a parent file of lets you put in Photoshop. "Right mouse-> go to the folder to library." Look over there, if you find your file.
