  I think that it is a fairly simple thing to do, but I am a beginner in Illustrator. I am fairly comfortable in Photoshop, so I'll use Photoshop terminology to describe what I'm trying to do in Illustrator:

  • I have an object that is a single sheet. It is a vector object and it sits on its own layer.
  • I also have another object which is a perfect circle. This object is filled and it is on a separate layer.
  • I want to create a 'selection' in the shape of this worksheet object
  • I would then like to "expand" the selection of 20 pixels. The idea is to preserve the exact shape of the sheet selection, but make it bigger.
  • I would then like to place this selection of sheet on top of my circle object and remove the part of the circle which is covered by the expanded selection of sheet I created earlier.

  The idea here is to place my sheet on a circle object, but remove the part of the circle covered by the sheet, more than 20 pixels. Basically, I want to create the effect of my sheet through the circle and divide it into two objects of irregular shapes that fit perfectly on the sheet with about 20 pixels of space between the two.

  There may be a better way to create these split two pieces of a circle. Basically, I was working with Photoshop basics here. I discovered the "Knife" tool, but I want to remove the part of the circle exactly in the form of my sheet - only 20 pixel bigger. It seems that the knife tool is free form cutting.

  Select the sheet with the selection tool.

  If you want to keep the original sheet, duplicate sheet and in the transform Panel, enter + 20px after pruning.

  I'm trying to remove a part of a letter using Photoshop CC (see attached picture) and while I can do this job using the Eraser tool, the result is not smooth looking.

  I tried all sorts of things, gum, then add shapes to hide what I didn't ' want to however it must be transparent, so I can use it on an image.

  Any help on how to do this would be really appreciated.

  a quick and easy way to do:

  Draw a rectangle with the Rectangle tool.

  go to select-> transform selection

  rotate the selection, then press enter

  Type-> rasterize type

  Then press the clear key.

  Today I am a little confused... it's what I do...

  I learn how to make an envelope and the UTU called for me to make the rectangles bit screwed on the edges which must be any rectangle of red and blue color.

  CTRL + Alt + T to duplicate > press the right arrow key to move and repeat until the end of the envelope > then

  Duplicate the layer > change the color from blue to red

  I am suppose to select each another rectangle and delete them so that the rectangles blue, red, red blue...

  I have no idea how to go about doing this and I could not find a solution in the faq or other messages in the forums. I don't know yet how the question so, who can be part of my quest denied

  In Inkscape I would separate them just so that I could handle/remove them as different forms, then (if necessary) use the rubberband to remember their and click on a button to regroup. I can't find anything similar to this in PS.

  Could someone please either link me to a solution, get me pointed in the right direction or if you have the time and are willing that you tell me how I can go about this process? Please and thank you very much

  Hi Kara. I think that you should use the tool select the path (A). Shift-click with it to add/delete selected records or forms, then delete selected ones.

  I'm ready to tear my hair.  I have a file I includes what appear to be letters.  However, as I am trying to remove the background (lettering is black, in letters, spaces such as the inside part of an O, are white and appear to be the background), the space becomes black, not transparent, which leads me to believe that this isn't really type, but a series of drawings to represent the letters (I lose you again?). What should I try to remove all white space to place this image on my background of work plan and be able to see that in the middle of the o and g-d, etc.? Attached, is an example of what I had to face for a while now.

  In order to 'see through' the "D", must be a compound path. Try the "D" together and in the object menu, select a composite path > make. Then put on a colorful box and see what happens.

• Droid: you can remove part of the thread of the text, but not ALL?

  I don't think you can do it with the stock in the messaging application.  You can, however, do it with a third-party application.  If you install Handcent SMS, it's pretty easy:

  -Open the thread (in Handcent SMS, no enforcement stock)

  -Press the settings button, and then press "More".

  -Press on "Batch Mode".

  -Check the box to the right of each message that you want to remove

  -Press the settings button, and then press "Delete selected".

  -On the confirmation prompt, select "Delete" (as an option, you can select the checkbox 'Delete locked messages' before you press "Delete" if all messages are locked)

  Handcent SMS is a free application available on Android Market.  I hope that's what you're looking for!

  I use a web browser window to display the contents of a web application in my LV Panel.  I really want the content to appear as native parts of the front rather than inside a frame.  Is there a method that will allow me to hide or delete the ActiveX control framework?  I tried to do a custom control and change the outside decoration but that doesn't seem to work.

  My solution is to put the web browser control in a Subvi and include it in the main façade with a subgroup of experts.  By properly framing the façade of the sub - VI, I can hide the edge of the web browser control.

  HI - another beginner question:

  Following the tutorial, I created a graph. The graph has a small box to the right to go a legend for the different plots. (I would like to put a picture, but looks like that I do not have permission to do so).

  The purpose of the chart is to trace thousands of points on a Cartesian plane. I got this job (sort of) with the PlotPoint() function. When I run the program, however, many quickly organized points exceeds the capacity of this legend (and won the start programme).

  So: can I get rid of this legend somehow? On a side note, I am inefficient with this approach? Would it not be better to collect the points table and use PlotXY instead?

  regarding the legend, open the respective popup panel by pressing the button caption on the graphic control panel change:

  

  On top of this Panel, you will see a checkbox Show legend:

  

  This box should do the job...

  Regarding the choice of the route of functions: I would not draw 1000 individual data points, but use it rather PlotXY. Alternatively you can consider using a graph of the band instead of a graph, which allows you to add a data point after another

  I have a form with tables inside tables and need to add/remove lines and swathes of the table, but can't seem to get the buttons to work.  The form can be found here: https://acrobat.com/#d=aS0xCt4bzIRGqip-HBtrXg when I open the form in acrobat and try the buttons, I'm prompted to save the form, but nothing is added/removed.  Finally, I need to fill out a second form with the same data, or else this table would be so complicated.  No idea as to what I'm missing here?

  For all / delete lines, forms need to be saved in dynamic PDF.

  2. the syntax of reference for Add/Remove lines won't.

  Use to add lines.

  I need some guidance with this. An object list in a form, users can choose several options. In particular, it is of is interested in the course students. The form has been sent as an email. The marketing department now wants to use a db e-mailing - so I need to work with the existing form and put the values in the DB, additional to the email. In other words, I'm not supposed to change anything on the existing forms. When they choose the course, the transmitted data looks like this;

  In the comic book, they only want the number of courses. How can I get rid of everything, but the course numbers (divided by commas). I think it involves something with the help of the comma as a delimiter... but can not quite understand.

  Since you know the entry of the form (which said you unmodifiable), the following examples should work. Example 1 uses a regular expression to replace characters. Example 2 converts the beginning of a string to a number.

  The regular expression in the example 1 replaces a - z and a blank space. You can add to the regular expression if the other characters need to be replaced.

  I know that the code is not beautiful, I'm still only experimentig autour however. My main problem is the following.

  The legend has not much room on the GUI, so it sets itself automatically scroll horizontally and vertically on the window if I fill it too. Unfortunately, the VisualBrush object takes a copy pixel by pixel of the UI object, and the exported image, I see only part of the legend that was visible at the time of the screenshot and scrollbars on each side.

  Question: Is it possible to copy all of the legend, as if it had grown to its full size?

  All WPF drawing mechanisms use the size of the layout of the control. To view the complete legend, you will either need to expand the legend in the user interface, or you do not have to use the technique of the question rendering bitmap WPF create item off-screen (of Alex + ra) to do off the screen.

  To develop the legend, it is possible to measure and organize using the desired size of the legend (although this will change on the screen):

    legend.Arrange( desiredBounds );

  To update off the screen, you'll either need to remove the legend of its parent and measure then as above, or create a new legend with the same settings make.

  Another alternative would be to declare two legends in your UI, one of them now in a hidden canvas (allowing him to full size without the screen on). This would avoid the need to measure and arrange calls to update the page layout (although Visual legend would be silently updated even when you do not use the screenshot feature) manually.
