I found that in this state the battery is not charged. The computer does not light when the power is connected. If I remove the power source and wait a few minutes, the computer turns now and opperate normally.

If I plug in now the power leds are lit and the battery is charged

It s really bad situations.

  • Battery won't charge on my Satellite A110

6 months ago my adapter stopped working. I replaced it with a universal which works well for some time. Then I had a problem.
When I connect the adapter to the laptop the blue light indicating the power supply Burns ok. The battery light turns orange for 10 seconds, then it turns off, then 10 sec on. Once these last 10 seconds turns off and stays off.

It does when the computer is turned on and when it is off. In the windows taskbar is said "" battery not charging "". "" I bought a new battery. I could charge the battery new and after some time the problem occurs again. The laptop worked fine for two weeks then didn't it gives the same problem again.

Does anyone have an idea what this could be? Adapter? (I tried several of them with the supply voltage and amperage, battery (both give original and new battery same problem) or the motherboard?)

    Hi mate

BIOS update may help. Don't know if this solution applies to your Satellite A110 but it worth the try
However, it is also important that you use a power adapter compatible and original. The use of the wrong adapter could affect recharge the battery and it could be possible only after some time of use, the battery could damage

I think that the question of the motherboard would be possible also, but in my opinion, the use of original and compatible parts is essential.

  • Battery does not charge, but by Satellite Pro L510 is running in battery mode

Hi, I had a few odd battery problems these days:

I had charged my laptop completely to 100% and then used it on the train on my way home (in Windows 7 64-bit), how I got it to about 70%, shut down normally, put it in my bag and left there until I got home. When I got home, I tried to turn it on but it lights and battery light orange blinking indicating that there can be no charge. I plugged it in and it worked as usual (Linux), so don't think too hard on this subject.

Later I realized that the battery was still the load after longer that it should have been and running the acpi + (linux) command told me has the battery + charge, 0%, charge at the zero rate - will never fully charge. + I disconnected to see if it worked, and the battery lasted as usual, although always it's 0% charge rate.

I started in Windows 7, and the battery reported that it was at 68%, so I assumed it was back to normal. A while later, I noticed that he was still 68%, despite having connected for a while - at least an hour. Start on linux, acpi showed data battery normal search, except that it was 'blocked' to 68%.

I disconnected the laptop and run it as usual, and it ran until he cut; I guess with him out of power. I plugged it back in and it is 'charge' again, even if it is still 0% battery and "load at the zero rate".

Before all this happened, the battery works well - apparently to 94% of its capacity. It would be modified for a few hours unplugged play movies or games.

Summary: PC laptop battery suddenly going to works "attributed to the zero rate" and 0% complete; battery still seems to work very well, seems fresh and portable no power plugged in but the battery is not 'charging' or have his percentage of charge remaining increase.

Someone at - it ideas? I have yet to try a BIOS update, but it seems that there is one available, so I will give that a try. I feel that the problem is not the battery as the battery controller, so I don't want to invest in a new battery without knowing it, the problem will be solved.

    Thank you!

    Hello

I think you should try upgrading the BIOS
BIOS default value, and then try to charge the battery again.

    > get the impression, the problem is not the battery as the battery controller, so I don't want to invest in a new battery without knowing it, the problem will be solved.
Well, it of really difficult to tell if the battery or the mobo may be affected
In my opinion, the battery must be tested without a doubt

  • Battery won't charge on my Satellite 3000 - x 4

    Hello

I have a Satellite 3000 - x 4 which does not seem to charge the battery. Have tried new ones, but they do not recharge, defiler light flashes but does not load.
    All of the suggestions.

    Hi keith267,
I also have a sat3000! What cpu you have in it?

There are 2 reasons for this problem:
a cheap and an expensive... lets see what we can do!

-Make sure that your adapter is good
for this purpose operate the machine without battery!
Flashing LED or is it constantly on? When flashing you you have a problem...
    on? good!
does not start or stops:-AC adapter has gone... made a cheap (app.40a? ¬)

-operate your machine with battery only
    Ok? good!
does not work or stops immediately: training of battery is recommended
for this purpose start a dos without mains system and let it run "to dry".
After that try to reload with alternating current, do this 5 times to train your battery
    OK afterwards? good!
None? It is the bitter pill to take

-Insert the battery and connect the ac power
When your machine Boote und runs, half the work is done
the light continues to blink? Yes? you need a new powermodule for your machine...
That's the bad thing: it is on the motherboard and can not be changed wothout change the motherboard...

If you have no luck with this procedure you can have mine instead ;-)

the battery will discharge when the PC is turned off and unplugged.

    How to solve the problem?

    > the battery will discharge when the PC is turned off and unplugged.
    How to understand this?
Does it means 24 hours battery is completely discharged or what?

Battery loses power when the laptop is turned OFF and unplugged and there is nothing unusual.
Enter the BIOS settings and disable Wake up on LAN.

After doing this watch carefully what will happen and let us know if the battery will discharge both than before.

I found a battery on a site that resembles a Toshiba Satellite A35 (don't remember if it's A30 or Pro A30) - looking at the Toshiba Satellite A35, it's the same as my Toshiba Satellite A30 it would be compatible?

    Thanks for your time...

    Hello

Eventually it s a battery but problem is just a suggestion.
I do not recommend buying a second hand battery because second hand battery will discharge a lot faster.
In my opinion, you should buy a new one.

I googled a little bit for PA3250U-1BRS and found a few deals online, it seems that you can get it for 50-60 euros

    Regarding the battery A35.
I think that it should be compatible with your laptop. The A35 is a Toshiba US series (A30 is the European model) and it of very similar to A30.

  • Satellite Pro L500 - stops when the power cord removed

Toshiba Satellite Pro L500 stops when the power cord is removed even with the battery to 100%. I removed the battery and all the indications associated with battery answer correctly. For example turns off, Toshiba Health Monitor also indicates when the battery is removed. If installed Health monitor indicates that the battery is at 100%.

Someone please help. I have not installed anything new.

    Hey,.

For me, the matter is clear: the battery can't hold a charge so the laptop will be shut down because it has no power.

I think you need to replace the battery with a new one and you can get a provider of service authorized in your country. Simply contact the guy and ask that they can tell you how much it would cost.

You can find a list of all FSA here:

  • Satellite Pro L500-1 t 5 - does not recognize battery

My new Ii received only today) computer laptop Satellite Pro L500 does not recognize the battery. I can't turn it on without AC. When the AC is turned on, the battery LED lights up orange for 20-30 seconds and then turns off, and Windows 7 says, that there is no battery.

I read on this forum, that I can put my battery in, while the windows is already happening and I tried, he founded the battery for 20-30 seconds and starts to load, but that she doesn't even once is not the battery. I checked the BIOS version, 1.90. It's a more later, as I understand it, isn't?

What can I do with it? It's hardware problems and I should post in the service or can I fix it somehow?

    Hi Ponny,

What happens if you leave the AC adapter plugged in for 24 hours or overnight and then you start the laptop without an AC/DC adapter? On the first charge, it takes a little longer until the battery is fully charged.

If that doesn t work, you need to contact the store where you bought it or authorized service provider. In this case, you should get a new battery free.

  • Satellite Pro L500 will not start on battery only

    Hello!

I recently bought a Satellite Pro L500 and have the following problems.
My laptop does not start on battery only. The Green led comes on and stays with the laptop in a gel (nothing appears on the screen).
The only way to get this light off is to remove the battery.

Starts EVERY time with AC power connected (with or without battery)-normal lights are displayed when connected.
Works quite normal, once started - with or without power connected

SOMETIMES starts with the battery only if I boot in a short time after I've used the laptop
I tried the static release process but does not work. (hold button power supply without battery or power supply connected etc..)

After having this problem, I've updated to the latest version of the BIOS but nothing helped
Tried a different battery and did not help
    Is a Toshiba Satellite PRO L500 T4400 4GB 15 "laptop Win7 - only 3 weeks or so old

    Very annoying!
    Please anyone with a solution?

    Hello

    Try this.
Remove the battery, disconnect the adapter and then wait a while. I would like to leave it disconnected for about 12 hours.
Together the two parties again, charge the battery and then remove the power adapter.
Then try to turn on the unit using only the battery.

If that does not help, then you should get in touch with your ASP as fast as possible since the guarantee is valid and would cover all the checks of the equipment and replacements.

  • My laptop is plugged in, but the battery won't charge

    Hello

In the last two months, capability of my laptop to charge its battery has degraded.
She went to a battery completely (100%), not being able to load beyond 98% and then 66% and 30%, and now finally, it says "0% availability (plugged in, charge)", but it never increases support.

Thus, the laptop works when plugged into the charger, but does not illuminate when it is attached only on the battery.

I rebooted the computer several times - first to stop the machine, then unplug it, remove the battery, press and hold the Start button for a minute, then put the battery back, plug the charger in and rebooting the machine.

I installed updates for "Stacks" (IE. Microsoft AC adapter, compatible ACPI Microsoft control method battery and battery Composite Microsoft) in Device Manager.
I also uninstalled the Microsoft ACPI complaint method stack and shutdown and restarted the laptop several times.

Earlier I called Toshiba support and update the BIOS of 1.50 to 1.70, then restarted the computer, but yet again, the battery won't charge.

I bought a new battery, which showed that it was fully charged when when I have attached to my laptop, but when exhausted 0% load, I got the same message as for the other battery: "0% availability (plugged in, load).

I am really puzzled. If not, how can I try to increase the capacity of my laptop battery?

In my opinion, old battery was certainly defective.

    (1) when you receive this error message?

    Hello

Don't forget to turn off the computer - remove the a/c power - then remove the battery
and check to see if any corrosion on the contacts. If so try to clean
with a pencil eraser. Check with Dell Support and Forums for methods more.

  • Where can I get a new charger for Satellite Pro L500 - 1 4?

Hi, I would like to get a new charger for Toshiba. My first charger was lost and the second charger that I bought on ebay 3 months ago for £10,-a stopped working. Where can I get a charger? I googled and found a few wesbites for example

Where can I get a good charger where that is authentic. Other suggestions are welcome

    Thanks in advance

The magazine you found is OK and I think you don't need original Toshiba charger.
If you want to have Toshiba we part number is PA3716E-1AC3.
