BB10 and Playbook Air SDK race side by side?

Hey guys,.

Is it possible to have both installed configurations at the same time for flash builder? Run the BB10 and the Playbook SDK as distinct configurations? Cause now I have to install one or the other, and when I install one, the other is just lost.

For example, I want to bring my playbook to BB10 application. So, naturally, I have had online, download Air BB10 sdk beta 2, install it. When I open the flash builder, I start getting errors in my code because im trying to access the classes that were at some point in time very available in the tablet sdk, but it seems that he has been replaced by the bb10 sdk.

I see no setting anywhere to "switch" between the two configurations of configuration. From my understanding, if you want to build an application BB10, u I use the sdk BB10 and with the playbook vice versa. You are unfortunately unable to use 1 sdk and develop at the same time.

Am I right my assumptions? And could tell me is it someone please in the right direction on how to manage both facilities?

Thank you

Theodore M

In Flash Builder preferences, under Flash Builder / target platforms / BlackBerr Tablet OS, disable the option "Use last installed SDK" and for the development of the Tablet, I have:

C:\Program Motion\blackberry-tablet-sdk-2.0.0 search

BB10 development (in your other workspace), it should be:

C:\Program Motion\blackberry-tablet-sdk-3.0.0 search

Flex 4.6 must be intact.

  • Different layout for phones BB10 and PlayBooks?

    Hello

In point 4.1.2 Android, I use "provision" and "release page-sw600dp" files to differentiate the schema xml for phones and tablets. However I can't use it to 2.3.3 as they began to support such feature of 3.2. And anyway, it does not affect that android is concerned because there is no Tablet out there with Androd 2.3.3 of.

But BB10 phones and tablets support only 2.3.3 runtime. So is there anyway that I can declare different presentation for phones and PlayBooks in a single application project? Otherwise, I need to make two different applications to phones and one for tablets. Please let me know what is the best way to support different screen sizes.

    Thank you

You can use the page-xlarge for PlayBook and layout for phones, as you would to support honeycomb devices and phones in one application.

  • Using the two PB 2.0 + SDK & BB10 Air SDK in Flash Builder 4.6

    Hello

Any of you have experience creating applications using the PB2 + and BB10 Air SDK in Flash Builder? How do you change the build configuration between two SOFTWARE development kits? So let's say you make apps for Playbook and at the same time you are doing apps for BB10...

Where do you set your IDE with these settings?

    Looking forward to your answers.

There is essentially only one way to do it: you first install the 2.0 + SDK, then the BB10 Beta SDK. This is how you make sure that you have the data of these two software development kits installed on your pc. The Flash Builder plugin will be the BB10 sdk.

I tested some of the components of the SDK BB10 on PlayBook OS 2.0.1. Needless to say that some features are not supported.
Note: When I talk about libraries and 'ane's, I mean those provided by the SDK BB10. The following findings are valid with a pre-BB10 PlayBook OS 2.0.1 is the last one I think. PlayBook OS 2.1 can be considered BB10, although some features don't work there either.
Here's what I found: you can use fuse controls, but the classes in the package "qnx.fuse.ui.dialog" do not work because the classes in the package "qnx.fuse.ui.window" do NOT work.
You cannot use "QNXDevice.ane" because "NavControl" class which is indispensable to the actions of the bezel does not work and the notifications do not work either.
If you use "fuse" components, you must also use 'QNXSkins.ane '.
The "QNXLocale.ane" does not work. 'QNXNetwork.ane' no test however. The framework of the call does not work.

Phew, that was some writing. If I missed something or you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

  • How confirm BB10 Air SDK was installed in flash builder 4.6

I just downloaded and installed what I think is the BB10 'or' Air SDK from here

    https://developer.BlackBerry.com/air/download/

When I create a new mobile project with flash builder 4.6, the default descriptor bar is the same as the playbook we.

for example, this commented out line:

I was wondering if I failed somewhere along the way and always use the Tablet SDK or if it looks just like that

    -edit-

also, I need new signature for BB10 keys or can I use everything that exists from a previous installation of the playbook.

Guess which has not been updated. New BB10 method is:

    Assets/Splash.jpg

Each image in the list is of a size to use for the device in landscape and portrait. It will automatically detect and use the correct start depending on the size of the device screen.

Same key signature as with the PlayBook.

  • Which version of the AIR SDK to use for BB10

    Hello

I recently moved my dev to a new Mac environment, so I had to reinstall everything, I installed the BB 3.0 sdk and robbed the air sdk 3, 4, I can compile an application, I've migrated any signature and debug tokens (which is good, cards app are OK), but whenever I try to launch my AIR on the BB10 application It opens and closes immediately before anything, even a simple HelloWorld fails.

Is it because I compiled against sdk 3.4 AIR?

Sites of dev clearly indicates "Adobe AIR SDK 2.6 or later", which miss me so much?

    Thank you!

Currently, we currently support only AIR version 3.1. As Tim mentioned here we will update 3.3 or 3.4 in the future.

I'll test this, but your application should be supported if you have the latest version of the SDK installed and the target AIR 3.1.

I'll make sure that dispel us any confusion in our documentation and SDK Installer software.

    Kind regards

  • How to navigate through the file to the blackberry playbook using Tablet blackberry OS for Adobe Air SDK

    Hi all

How to navigate through the file to the blackberry playbook using Tablet blackberry OS for Adobe Air SDK.

And also I want to download this file on the server.

Help me by providing examples of coding.

    Thanks in advance.

Here are some tips to help you get started.  It all depends on the terms that you use for your search.  For the first, I would use "adobe air browse file."  For the second, I start with only a variation as "adobe air download file" and then adjust according to the first results.

  • Confusion WebWorks and Adobe Air

I'm quite confused and possibly this ad in the wrong place!

I created an application for the playbook using HTML/Javascript. And compiled using Packager BlackBerry WebWorks for PlayBook. I submitted the app and I got an email from RIM saying I need to:

Please download using the most recent 0.9.4 SDK

Now, here's my confusion. This SDK are referring to? The SDK works Web is v1.0.0.23 Beta3 and the Adobe AIR SDK is v2.5. This is the BONE of the tablet which is v0.9.4. Am I supposed to compile against the Tablet OS? I thought it was only for AIR applications with .as and .swf files.

The documentation is sparse, and I do not know how to proceed. How to compile my html/js files against 0.9.4 SDK?

    SDKs updated March 14, 2011 (v1.0.0.23 Beta3) is updated March 14, 2011 (v0.9.4) simulators

They want you to compile using the latest version of the SDK... If you have already signed using the leatest... then ignore that email... anyone who has... esp... If you have made at least a version in the past which was built using the older SDK.

  • Extension of WebWorks for BB10 and OS7

    Hello

I am interested to write an extension for some software that will be deployed to the device a BB10 and OS7. I was wondering if it was possible to package the native code for each platform in an extension, so I can then use it in a project without having to include two extensions. Ideally, I would like to include the extension in the project and leave the code intact webworks for each platform and let the compiler decide to use the BB10 or OS7 code from the file extension.

Is it possible to do this?

    See you soon,.

    Rich

BB10 is a wrapper called JNext JavaScript and C/C++

PlayBook OS is a wrapper for an Adobe AIR for a DONKEY who can talk to the bit of C/C++ and C/C++

OS7 and lower are fully Java

either you write completely different extensions for each

OS6/7 and BB10, was lost with PB

  • How test a BB10 playbook app or install the latest OS BB10 in playbook?

The Alpha of Dev and Playbook didn't and don't use the same OS versions because they are different hardware.

You need the latest version of the Playbook SDK and build with it.

As far as I know that the last sim playbook and download the latest Públicos for playbook is already "BB10", but there may be updates on the playbook after the BB10 SDK for alpha dev's final (11 December?).

From: just ripple point playbook BlackBerry WebWorks SDK for Tablet 2.2.0.5 instead of 10 BlackBerry WebWorks SDK 1.0.3.8 (or the last one).

The same code can be generated for both with minor variations in the config.XML for options such as orientation.

Things such as canvas full screen, swf, audio files can behave not the same on the two OS right now.

I have graphical help (online ordering could never)

the playbook of paths with bb10 is nice, I want to know is how it should work also indicate to playbook?

The PlayBook and BlackBerry OS 10 have different architectures; you have to build a unique BAR file for each platform.

If you go to the download page for HTML5:

    https://developer.BlackBerry.com/HTML5/download/

You will find a separate SDK WebWorks for the Playbook and BB10 and you will need to install both / run the command for each respective platform bbwp generate a BAR file that is compatible with the operating system specified.

  • QNXWebView changes / broken in PB 1.0.6.2390 / AIR SDK 1.1

I've updated my PlayBook OS device to: 1.0.6.2390 and all seemed ok, but I noticed a few apps I have who use the QNXWebView did not work (the display of web pages simply does not load).

So I have now 2 concerns:

    1. What has changed (for example what should I fix to make it work... made a property change that I need to put it together or not?)
    2. For AppWorld, last I checked, I could only target a file/*.bar against a PlayBook OS v1.0 release (+), are not specifically against the 1.0.6.xxxx it's a problem now, as Elena Laskavaia , it is stated in this post: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Tablet-OS-SDK-for-Adobe-AIR/SDK-1-1-for-Adobe-Air-targeting-O... there were changes for the runtime AIR 2.7, making the compilation with the inconsistent AIR SDK 1.1 with devices that are running an earlier version of the operating system (for example less only 1.0.6.xxxx)

Now I'm stuck.  Even when I have difficulty #1 above, I can't really present the new version in AppWorld, because it will be fix for users with OS 1.0.6.x, but totally break it for users with a previous operating system.

    SOLVED!

The behavior of the QNXStageWebView changed to PB 1.0.6.2390 / AIR SDK 1.1 (to actually follow the posted API specifications)

    See API here

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/developers/docs/airapi/1.1.0/index.html?QNX/media/QNXStageWebView.html&QNX...

In order to create/use a QNXStageWebView, you must do the following:

1.) set the visible property to true (the default value is actually false)

    2) the value of the stage to the stage of your application property.  This must be your step 'ROOT '.  If you were like me and had layers of Sprite on top of your sprite main 'ROOT', then the property of 'this.stage' sprites 'child' is not valid.

3.) set viewPort to a rectangle with dimensions required

4.) then load a URL as needed...

In my case, I was not #2 above, creating the .stage property.  So for anyone else that has not been updated, you'll probably want to get as soon as possible on this.

    Thank you all!

  • Difference of Adobe Flex and Adobe AIR

Hello. My name is Vineeth K.

I am beginner in Adobe AIR & Flex.

I learned something about the two using the net. After that, I created a simple application in the AIR.

After that I'm doing the same app in Flex. But I found many roadblocks in Flex, where as in the AIR, there were only a few.

Now my doubt is that which is more fresh AIR or Flex... Creating application in AIR or Flex will be good. What are the benefits of both. Please, help me in these...

    Thank you

    Vineeth K.

The Adobe AIR forum can help you with questions releated AIR.

'Flex' was the original product named to create ActionScript/MXML web-based applications that run in Flash Player.  'AIR' was introduced later to take the same Flex API and run as a stand-alone desktop application.  AIR applications have a greater interaction with the desktop features, where 'Flex' (because of the security protections) does not work.  Today, 'Flex' is linked to the development on the web, in the Flash browser, so the 'AIR' is still in office, stand-alone applications.  AIR has a lot more features that it is possible that Flex does not work (for example in application database, file system access, etc.).  For BB PlayBook, AIR is the choice of development (with WebWorks and other SDKs that will be published later this summer).  You can create Flex/browser applications that run in the browser of the PlayBook, and you could probably create WebWorks Flex applications.

    Hope that helps.
